Stampin’ Up! Garden Goodness Perfect Day!

‘Sup, y’all!?  Hope your week is going well!  And that you’re redeeming those Bonus Days coupons!! 🙂

My card today uses a new-to-me set called Garden Goodness!  And I used it to make a summery card that would be a good one for a birthday – or any big day!  Back to school, maybe?  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.

And I played along with the Word Week challenge at Just Us Girls!  Nothing at all says summer to me like sun-ripe tomatoes fresh off the vine!

I started with some Very Vanilla card stock that I embossed in the Basket Weave 3D Embossing Folder then cut down to size and matted on Mango Melody for the card front.

On a smaller piece of Vellum card stock, I stamped the cherry tomato vine twice in Old Olive. I also added the stem image twice.  Then I let them dry really well – okay, I gave them a little help with my Heat Tool on Low! 🙂

When all dry, I added tomatoes in Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie.

Again, when the vellum was dry, I used Glue Dots to adhere the panel to the card front – hiding them under the stamped images – and putting two very carefully in the bottom corners!

I wrapped a length of 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim twice around the panel, securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

I stamped some more stems and tomatoes on Very Vanilla and fussy cut them.  I also stamped the sentiment banner in Pumpkin Pie and added the sentiment in Old Olive – and fussy cut that as well.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the sentiment and the “bottom” tomato.  Then I popped the other two tomatoes on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Finally, I tied a bow with the 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim and adhered it with a dab of Liquid Glue – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Garden Goodness in Old Olive to a Very Vanilla panel.  I also added Old Olive stems and Pumpkin Pie cherry tomatoes!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mango Melody mat and into my Thick Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more tomatoes…on the front…

…and on the envelope flap.

Et voila!  Summer = tomatoes.  Always – whether they’re on a vine outside your door or at your Farmer’s Market!  Garden Goodness, with it’s PERFECT tomato images brings those ripe goodies right to your projects!  I could hardly stop stamping them! 🙂  I hope you like!
