Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Soft Spring Sneak Peek

Well.  It’s Saturday.  And this post is coming to you from HOME!  Whoo-hooo! And I’ll be headed back north today for Amy’s going away lunch.

Whoo-hoo??  “Yeah” cuz I get to see our team – but… sad emoji that Amy is leaving.  They’re moving to New Jersey.  I’m really truly trying to be happy and excited for their new adventure.  Really.

You’d think we got together every week for coffee or something.  With the exception of our quarterly in-person meetings, our interaction is almost exclusively online and on the phone.  Which won’t change.

But… 🙁 🙁 🙁

I have our Cruise and the trip to Maui next year to look forward to – so…trying to be all positive and stuff.

The struggle is real, people!

So – let’s stop all this false positiveness and get to something I can legitimately be excited about, shall we?  With each new catalog there are Host-Exclusive sets – these can only be purchased using Stampin’ Rewards!  To earn Stampin’ Rewards – you have a workshop or submit an individual order with a retail value over $150!  And then – assuming you’ve done that after 4 June…you might pick one of the host sets from the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.

OR – you COULD join my team right this very second – and pick this set – called Soft Spring! – to help fill-out your Starter Kit.  🙂 Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Mojo Monday sketch.

I started with a piece of new 2019-2021 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP in Pretty Peacock and matted it on Mint Macaron for the card front.   Look at that – and all the wonderful designs – on the new papers!

On a piece of Whisper White, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the pretty flower image from Soft Spring in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Using the fill-image stamps, I added leaves in Mint Macaron and flowers in Pineapple Punch.

I matted the panel on Mint Macaron and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Around the entire panel, I wrapped a piece of Mint Macaron 1/4″ Textile Ribbon (new in the upcoming catalog), securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

I pulled out the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set – carrying over! – and stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock on a bannerized strip of Whisper White.  Then I popped the sentiment onto the ribbon and card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few Pineapple Punch Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots around the flowers and one on the sentiment – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used the Stamparatus again to add a second flower image from the Soft Spring set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the corner of a Whisper White panel.  I filled in the flowers in Pineapple Punch and the leaves in Mint Macaron.  These are very painterly, aren’t they?!?  For a more formal stay-inside-the-lines look – use your Stampin’ Write Markers to fill in the images! 🙂

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mint Macaron mat and into my Pineapple Punch card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more of the Soft Spring image on the front in Tuxedo Black, Pineapple Punch and Mint Macaron…

…and some more Pretty Peacock 2019-2021 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh my goodness, y’all!  HOW beautiful is this Soft Spring Host-exclusive stamp set?!?  All images – no sentiments.  Just all sorts of spring-y gorgeousness!  And the new In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP?  Yes, please!!  Hope you like! 🙂

Be sure to get signed up for my Catalog Shares – and get some of this pretty paper in all the new colors for yourself!

  1. Love the colors, the design, embellishments…it really appeals to me. Have fun at the luncheon and glad you made it home safely.

    Hi Mary!
Beautiful card! I love the colors.
When I saw that Amy was moving to NJ (my home state), I thought this might make you sad. You seem like such good friends. In today’s world, it’s easier to keep in touch with all those electronic devices. Still, I feel your pain. Living in NJ, once you reach retirement age, many people leave the state. Just can’t afford to live here. On the bright side, I have people to visit in places that I probably never would have visited. Now you do too. 🙂

True – we’re only as far as our computers and phones, right?! I know we’ll stay in touch! Thank you so much for the kind and supportive words, Gerri! 🙂

  3. So pretty! Love the card design ad colors. I didn’t realize that Mojo Monday had started again…off to go resubscribe. 🙂 Don’t be sad about me heading to New Jersey, I’ll still be back in Atlanta now and then. You can’t get rid of me that easily. 😉

You better come back, kid! I’ll come to Joy-sey and hunt you down! 😉 Mojo Monday is on FB!! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
