Stampin’ Up! It Starts With Art Sneak Peek!

Good Monday, my peeps!  WHY is it a GOOD Monday and not a BLAH Monday?  Cuz….it’s probably going to be my last one in Maryland!

Please notice I did not say WILL be my last one.  I have no wish to anger the Flight Gods.  They’re a vindictive group, don’t ya know??  Let’s just say I am cautiously optimistic. That shouldn’t get their backs up… 😉

My card today is a clean-and-simple number (well – it is for ME!) using a sweet little new set from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog called It Starts With Art and the bundled Arts & Crafts Dies.  And this suite – called Follow Your Art (all of which is available on 4 June!) – includes a fun embossing folder called Button Button and some Follow Your Art DSP.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started with a Whisper White panel that I ran thru the Big Shot in the new Button Button Embossing Folder (which customers will be able to pick up on 4 June – which is smack around corner!) then matted on Blushing Bride for the card front.

The angled panel is from the Follow Your Art DSP also matted on Blushing Bride and then popped onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using one of the pretty edgelits from the Arts & Crafts Dies, I cut a strip from some Calypso Coral cardstock.  With Liquid Glue, I adhered a couple of pieces of the strip to the card front – tucking them under the edge of the popped-up angled panel.

I stamped the sentiment from It Starts With Art in Pacific Point on Whisper White and cut it with a Stitched Shapes Framelits circle die.  I used Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional to add it over the point of the angled DSP.

I pulled out the new Follow Your Art Embellishment Kit and adhered a couple of felt embellishments in Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana.  Then I tied a double-length little bow of Calypso Coral Linen Thread (from the kit) thru the top of one of the Silver Trinkets (the kit includes 6 of these little beauty’s – they’re heart shaped and say “Made With Love” on them!).  I adhered it with a dab of Liquid Glue to the Crushed Curry felt flower – and the card front was done!

For the inside, I cut another of the Arts & Crafts Dies edgelits – this one looks like a row of buttons! – from a piece of Follow Your Art DSP, and adhered it across the bottom of a Whisper White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Blushing Bride mat and into my Calypso Coral card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another row of Follow Your Art DSP “buttons” across the front…

…and I adhered some more of that paper on the envelope flap, too!

Et Voila!  This Follow Your Art DSP is fun and creative and….artsy!…don’t you think?  I love the It Starts With Art stamp set and the bundled Arts & Crafts Dies make it easy to cut out lots of fun shapes – as well as the stamped images!   I hope you like!
