Good morning, folks! How goes the weekend? By the time you read this, I’ll have already delivered thank-you-for-helping-us-out-on-a-weekend donuts and will (if all goes as planned!) be in the middle of getting to the end of the day! 🙂
If you were able to join me last night on my un-planned-and-short-notice Facebook Live video, I sure appreciate you flexing your schedule for me – and I hope you enjoyed it! If you missed it, here’s the instant-ish replay on YouTube!
This card is one that might be appropriate for many different occasions – or for no occasion at all! It uses the Dear Doily stamp set and just a couple of colors. Take a look-see:
This fun layout was inspired by the sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches!
I started with a Whisper White panel and embossed it in the Country Floral Dynamic TIEF, then matted it on Daffodil Delight for the card front.
On a smaller piece of Whisper White (2 5/8 square, to be exact!), I used my Stamparatus to stamp the large design in the Dear Doily stamp set in Night of Navy ink.
Then I cut the square into 9 equal size (7/8″ square) squares. I used Liquid Glue to adhere the squares to a Daffodil Delight mat – then I popped it all onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment from Dear Doily in Night of Navy ink on a small strip of Whisper White, using my Stamparatus and an acetate sheet. Then I snipped banner ends with my Paper Snips. I adhered the banner to a Daffodil Delight “mat” with Liquid Glue.
I popped the matted sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally, I added as Happiness Blooms Enamel Dot to the sentiment and to the middle of the doily – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I inked the smaller doily design from Dear Doily in Night of Navy, stamped it off FOUR times on scrap paper, and then added it to the middle of a Whisper White panel (so – on the FIFTH stamp!).
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Daffodil Delight mat and into my Night of Navy card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
On the front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope, I stamped the small doily five times without re-inking in Night of Navy…
…and then I used my Stamparatus to add the large doily to the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I do love this Dear Doily stamp set, don’t you? And we’re hearing that it will retire at the end of the Occasions catalog, so if you want it (you do!) – then you should snap it up right now! Hope you like!

Easy peazy and I really like it. Sorry I missed you last night…dinner got in the way. I had an order for 17 cards and one card took me most of the afternoon. Today we are meeting friends who are down here from the Adirondacks. We will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. This’ll be my third corned beef and cabbage dinner this month. I LOVE it! Hope you have a profitable day at work.
I love corned beef and cabbage, too! Enjoy! Thanks, Karen! 🙂
