Stampin’ Up! Bring on the Presents Jelly Jar Gifts!

Happy day after Christmas, y’all!  Hope your day was everything you’d hoped for and more!  Ours was great – and sort of longer than we’d planned.  And…fuller.

Yikes – I was full BEFORE dessert came out of the fridge.

Which absolutely does NOT mean I didn’t have a little of all the offerings! 😉

But – we got home a little later than planned – the horses were “STARVING OUT HERE, MOM!!”

I decided to use the fun little Bring on the Presents set one last time before the end of the year to make some little tags and bows for the jelly jars filled with homemade Apple Butter that I gave to my friends at dinner.  Take a look-see:

These were super quick and easy to make – which is good because I went from having “plenty of time” on Christmas Day to “oh shiitake…”!

Now – my friends aren’t exactly “my neighbors” and these didn’t go in their stockings, but I decided to play along with the TGIF Inspiration Challenge!

I started by stamping the little tag image from Bring on the Presents in Cherry Cobbler (two) and Mossy Meadow (one) on a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Inside each tag, I stamped the To/From image – I used Mossy Meadow inside the Cherry Cobbler tags and Cherry Cobbler for the Mossy Meadow tag.

Then – I fussy cut the three tags – and wrote my friends’ names on each with my Journaling Pen.  I used my 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch to punch holes in the top of each tag.

I stamped three bows in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then used my Light and Dark Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends to color the bows.  Then – I fussy cut those, too.

So – an admin note.  The All the Presents Framelits are sold out.  But the Bring on the Presents stamp set is still available (although only for a minute!) and these are easy fussy cuts.  So, if you don’t already have it – don’t be afraid to snap up this stamp set before it’s gone!

I popped each bow onto a jar with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a clear drop from the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets pack.

I wrapped some Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow Festive Farmhouse Twine a few times around each jar, tied a knot and slipped on each tag.

Then I tied a little bow – and my Apple Butter gifts were ready to rock.  Just in time, too – cuz the oven timer chimed just about that time to tell me to pull the Prime Rib out! 🙂

So – Bring on the Presents is a super simple little set – with fun images that are perfect for gift giving!  I hope you’ve already got it in your tool stash – and if not…well….fix that right quick!  Hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Finn and Katy had a pretty good Christmas!

My mom (err….Santa!), sent Finn a smoked Butcher Bone!  As soon as his Dad opened the box (that had been marked DO NOT OPEN UNTIL CHRISTMAS), that little tail went a-wagging!  And he started leaping here and there!  We couldn’t figure out what in the world his problem was – until the bone surfaced.

As quick as he could, Wayne tore off the wrapper and let the Man out with his prize!

He got busy FAST!

Katy got a turtle.

A stuffed one, to be clear.  With catnip.

And she had some fun with it (just a little – as befits an elderly and highly-dignified kitty!).

Hope your fur-children had a good day, too!

Cute decorated jars and a thoughtful gift. (When do you have time to make apple butter?!) and very thoughtful gifts from Santa to both fur-babies. TFS

Santa is VERY good to the fur children! And – I did it between cookie batches in my Mealthy Multi-Pot (pressure cooker)! Thanks so much, Susan! 🙂

  2. When on earth did you have time to make apple butter???? Very nice gift, and I am sure the recipients were very pleased. Glad you, and your fur children had a great day, even if the horses thought you had forgotten them.

Instant Pot, baby! It did most of the work – also I kicked into turbo-mode when I realized I had a week less than I thought! LOL Thanks Julie! 🙂

  3. Kate

    Very nice gifty jars!
Love seeing Finn and Katy…a good time was had by all…except maybe the starving equines who didn’t know they were on ‘holiday hold’ waiting for their dinner.

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – as they stood in front of the 800 pound bale of hay “Starving”….LOL! Thanks Mom! 🙂

  4. Cute tags and bows! Perfect for gifting your homemade goodies! Yep, Ginny got at new chewy toy too. 🙂

Finn did pretty well – Santa with his Butcher bone and our friends with no fewer than THREE new soft toys! 🙂 Thanks, Amy! 🙂
