Stampin’ Up! Incredible Like You Project Kit Sneak Peek!

Good Christmas Eve, my peeps!  The day-before-The-Day has arrived and I hope you’re ready.

I mean – doesn’t really matter if you’re not cuz The Day is going to happen regardless.  😉

I wanted to share a great kit in the 2019 Occasions Catalog with you today.  We got the Incredible Like You stamp set at OnStage, so the kit was high on the list for my first pre-order!  Once I got into it – I discovered the ingredients to make 16 beautiful cards in 4 different designs!  Take a look-see:

This is a Project Kit – and it has your card bases, die cuts, Glimmer Paper elements, envelopes, Grapefruit Grove Baker’s Twine, Rhinestones, Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals!

In addition to the kit, you’ll need the Incredible Like You stamp set.  You’ll also need to provide ink (Lovely Lipstick and Coastal Cabana) plus Liquid Glue.

As I was putting the kit together, it seemed like it would be a perfect thing to do with a group of friends, a little coffee and a plate of cookies!  Everyone could buy a kit and you could provide the stamp set and inks and the rest of the goodies, and then everyone would leave with 16 cards ready to go!  Oh – and you could be earning Sale-A-Bration goodies at the same time!

The different designs all start with specially colored card bases – over which you adhere pretty laser-cut designs!

I used some of the flower and leaf images in the Incredible Like You stamp set to add some inside decorations!

But – the envelopes are all lined and beautiful without any extra help!

And – when your cards are all made, there’s even a beautiful card box to hold them in! 🙂

Et Voila!  The Incredible Like You stamp set and Project Kit is…wait for it…incredible!!  Yes – I did that!  It makes 16 beautiful cards – complete with a card holder!  What’s not to love?!?  I hope you like!

And – if my get-together-and-make-some-cards idea sounds fun – drop me a line and let me tell you how to make it happen come 3 January and the 2019 Occasions catalog!

Finn Fan Fix

This is a lesson in cleaning a square dish. This one is sort of the Holy Grail for Finn.  It had tuna fish juice in it – I gave the dish to Katy to drink.  Apparently she was holding out for the “real” tuna – with mayonnaise thank-you-very-much.  And so she walked away.  I let Finn off the rug and he…began to take care of business.

Observe.

Step one – do a rough first pass on the easy-to-reach parts.  Use your large hand to keep it from sliding around on the wood floor.

Step 2 – begin to narrow your focus to clean the corners.  Don’t get in a hurry – these things take the time they take!

Finally – step 3 – wedge the dish against your ginormous back feets to allow total access.  Squish and bend your nose to get into all the corners.

When it’s all clean – leave it somewhere upside down for someone to find and bus later.

You’re welcome – now you TOO can clean your dishes!

Stupid cat, leaving perfectly yummy fish juice…. 😉

  1. I like that you showed off the kit. I also like that Finn showed off his maneuvering skills. Katy is so silly! Doesn’t she know mayonnaise if fattening? Hope y’all have a wonderful Christmas Eve day and night. We are starting one new tradition (going to Perry’s Irish Pub for potato leek soup) as well as keeping the old of our Christmas Eve meal (beef fondue).

She’s such a little waif that, unlike her mom, NEEDS as many calories as she can get! INCLUDING the fish juice -but…she wasn’t having any part of it! Thank you so much, Karen – hope you enjoyed your traditional meals! Merry Christmas! 🙂

  2. Such a pretty card kit! Hope that the get together works out for you and your stamping friends! 🙂 Good thing that Finn is there to help with the dishes…a little extra “sanitizing” is always good. Ha!

  3. Kate

Like all of us…they learn from one another!
Peace and joy to all this Christmas Eve morning. 🎶

  4. Would love to get together over coffee and make cards. Finn sure knows how to clean a…square..dish! Yeah, stupid cat. (mine does the same thing. Finicky!)

Me, too! Maybe one day, Julie! He’s pretty multi-talented. He can do square…round…upside down… 🙂 Merry Christmas, my friend! 🙂

I have the same cleaning method, especially if stuff is stuck to the bowl. The tongue method works great and makes cleaning so much easier.

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – it’s really the ideal tool for stuck on stuff in corners! Thanks, Barbara! 🙂

Merry Christmas to you and your family. I have greatly enjoyed your not-quite-instant replays of your videos. I hope to be able to catch more of them live. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your cards and videos. God bless you.

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you so much, Eunice! I’m happy you enjoy the videos and cards!! Merry Christmas!! 🙂

Hi Mary! Happy New Year! I found this blog post on Pinterest, and am happy to read your review of this nice kit. I am hoping to turn my 16 cards into 32… do you have any ideas on stretching the kit? I have used the die cut overlays for stencils already, and now some of them are inky… a fun medium to play with. Was also thinking of cutting the die cuts into pieces, and the card front/back can become two card fronts on white cardstock.

Would be curious to hear any ideas you might have. Thanks!

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks Patricia! I haven’t really thought about trying to stretch the kit – it makes such good cards as it stands! If anything strikes me, I’ll let you know. I DO think used the front and back on a mat and card base sounds like a good plan!! 🙂
