Stampin’ Up! Vibrant Vases and Gingham Sneak Peek!

Well.  It’s HAWWWP Day.  And – I DID it!  I actually got all the boxes packed and out the door. Cuz – have you heard that Christmas is THIS COMING TUESDAY?? Who knew?!? 😉

I make no promises about WHEN things will arrive, but…God and UPS and USPS willing….arrive they will!

So.  Now all I have left to do is a few more bake-y things that I stuck on my list of things to do – cuz….NOT having a list would just be…weird!  And I like to feed my surrogate kids at the holidays, so…bake I will!

For now, let’s take a look at a card, shall we?  This one uses the new Vibrant Vases stamp set in the 2019 Occasions catalog – which means you’ll be able to get it on 3 Jan 19! (I’m not even going to tell you how far away that date is – I am a BAD source for such things!).  A fun little tidbit about this set is that it matches the Vase Builder Punch – which is a current punch in the Annual Catalog (and is bundled with the Vivid Vases stamp set)!  I added it to a little Gingham Gala 6″ x 6″ DSP.  Take a look-see:

My layout comes from this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge – although I flipped it on its side…

I borrowed some ideas from the Occasions Catalog samples, and stamped the pretty flower image from Vivid Vases in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the corners of a Daffodil Delight Gingham Gala DSP panel.  Then I adhered the panel to a Lemon Lime Twist mat with Liquid Glue for the card front.

See that ribbon?  That’s from Sale-A-Bration goody – that you’ll be able to get for FREE with a $50 purchase! – called the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack!  That pack will have 5 ribbons in it in perfect Spring colors.  This is Grapefruit Grove! I wrapped a length around each corner, securing it in back with Glue Dots.

I cut two leaves from Lemon Lime Twist card stock, using the awesome cut-and-emboss die in the new Wonderful Floral Framelits (coming on 3 Jan 18), and adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

For the sentiment, I cut a rectangle using the new Rectangle Stitched Shapes Framelits (yep – coming on 3 Jan 19!) from Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the flower image twice in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I stamped the sentiment itself in Grapefruit Grove (I inked just the part of the image that I wanted – easy to do since this is a photopolymer set!  With my Light and Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Mango Melody and Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends, I colored the flowers.

I popped the rectangle on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, added a Share What You Love Artisan Pearl to the flowers, and the card front was done!

On the inside,  I added the Vibrant Vases flowers to the corners of a Whisper White panel, coloring them as I’d done on the card front.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Lemon Lime Twist panel and into my Daffodil Delight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Vibrant Vases flowers on the front…

…and I added a little more Gingham Gala DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  While you’re browsing thru the 2019 Occasions Catalog, don’t fly over this little Vibrant Vases stamp set, okay?  It’s really pretty – and has the added bonus of working with a bundle that you may already have (and can get right now if you don’t!).  I love it when stamp sets and dies or punches will work interchangeably with other sets.  It really adds to the versatility and bang-for-your-buck!  Hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Finn – as has been established – enjoys a good roughhouse with his Dad.

Mom will do – but…Dad is the most fun.  HE almost always has covers and big gloves on, so the words “NO TEETH” aren’t heard quite as frequently as when playing with mom.

She’s a stickler.

Dad?  Maybe not so much!

BUT – one of the really fun things to do is pretend you’ve been captured and are at the mercy of….

THE BELLY TICKLER!!

Please notice that – in the midst of the “fear” and “terror”…he’s still holding on to his collar.

It’s all about priorities, people!

Mom – come tickle the dog!
