Stampin’ Up! Tufted Tropical Thanks for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! Today’s a color challenge, and I hope you’ll check out everyone’s projects when you’re done here!  I love these colors – and know you will, too.

Once I saw the colors, I knew I had to play with the new Tropical Escape DSP – it was just the right thing to do!  So I combined it with it’s Tropical Chic Suite of goodies, added a Thank You Thinlits die cut and….take a look-see:

And I borrowed a little help for my layout from the TGIF Challenge this week!

I started with some Blushing Bride paper from the so-pretty-it-makes-you-think-of-Hawaii Tropical Escape DSP for the card front – and I embossed it in the new Tufted Dynamic TIEF.  Then I matted it on Shaded Spruce with Liquid Glue.  Next is another design – same paper – that I cut and bannerized with my Banner Triple Punch -and adhered with Liquid Glue.

With the coordinating Tropical Thinlits (y’all – these are SUCH fun!), I cut some Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce leaves and adhered them to the card front with a few dabs of Liquid Glue.

Over that, I used a piece of Shaded Spruce and another piece of Tropical Escape DSP and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

My sentiment is cut with the new Thank You Thinlits die cut, from Blushing Bride card stock and adhered with Liquid Glue.  It’s bold enough against the Tropical paper to not need to be stacked (so – just one die cut!).

I added a fun little Tropical Element button with a Glue Dot and topped it off with a tiny Linen Thread Bow.  A couple of Petal Pink Share What You Love Artisan Pearls finished off the card front.

On the inside, I used my Stamparatus to add a Tropical Chic sentiment in Blushing Bride to a Whisper White panel.  Over top, I added a leaf in stamped-off-three-times Granny Apple Green.  That seemed sorta plain to me, so I added a Shaded Spruce matted strip of Tropical Escape DSP and a couple of lengths of Linen Thread.  And – okay – another Tropical Element button and bow.

I matted the panel on Shaded Spruce and then adhered it into my Granny Apple Green card base with Liquid Glue, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Envelope got a few Granny Apple Green Tropical Chic fronds on the front – I just stamped it three times without re-inking…

…and I added a little more Tropical Escape DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Doesn’t this just scream summer-time-and-the-livin’-is-easy to you?!  I love this color combination and the Tropical Chic Suite of goodies pulls it all together perfectly. I hope you like!
