Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop! Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Love! Be sure to check out everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
I leaned into the theme with a Valentine’s Day card using the Valentine’s Day stamp set and some Love Notes Mix & Match DSP. Along with an additional sentiment and some stamped foliage from the Greenery Lane stamp set. Take a look-see:
This one is all about cutting and layering!
I started by adhering a piece of pretty plaid paper from the Love Notes Mix & Match DSP to an Azure Afternoon card base using Liquid Glue.
I cut down another panel of the Love Notes Mix & Match DSP down to 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″.
– First – I cut it from it’s larger 6″ x 6″ piece of DSP.
– Then I cut 5/8″ from the bottom of the panel.
– Cutting from the top, I trimmed down to 4 7/8″ (vertical measurement)
– I cut 1/4″ from the left side of the panel
– Finally, I trimmed the right end of the panel down to a total of 3 5/8″ (horizontal measurement)
On the top of the completed panel, I stamped the Valentine’s Day sentiment in Azure Afternoon ink.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the panel to a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Garden Green cardstock.
I popped the matted panel on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.
I adhered the whole thing to the card front with Liquid glue.
I added three white Pearlized Faceted Circles and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Greenery Lane set in Azure Afternoon ink on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped a leaf image from Greenery Lane twice in Garden Green (it’s a two-step image – I used Garden Green for both steps) and then added the little flower in Real Red and Flirty Flamingo inks.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Azure Afternoon card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Greenery Lane flowers on the front…
…and more of the Love Notes Mix & Match DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! So quick and easy! AND – the Love Notes Mix & Match DSP gives you EIGHT of each page! So you could make multiples of this Valentine’s Day card! I lvoe the colors in the pack. I ALSO love the font in the Valentine’s Day and the Greenery Lane sets. So pretty!
