Good morning and happy half-way-thru-the-weekend, y’all!
I’ve got another sneak peek for you from the March Online Exclusives – which means you can get all the things on 3 March (unless you join now – but that’s a whole ‘nuther subject!). It’s the pretty Forever Florals bundle and beautiful Wood Grain Wonders DSP! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by the sketch at the Try A Sketch on Tuesday challenge.
I started by adhering three 1 1/4″ x 5″ strips of the new Wood Grain Wonders DSP (two in Crumb Cake and one in Early Espresso) on a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock with Liquid Glue.
From a piece of Basic Beige Wood Grain Wonders DSP, I cut out two of the leaves clusters.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere them to the card front.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the flower cluster image from Forever Florals three times in Petal Pink ink and twice in Peach Pie ink. I used the coordinating die in the set to cut them out.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the three Petal Pink clusters to the card front.
On another piece of the Basic Beige Wood Grain Wonders DSP, I stamped a Forever Florals sentiment in Pecan Pie ink. I cut it out with one of the dies in the Forever Florals die set.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals in the middle of the die cut to adhere the sentiment to the card front.
I used that Forever Florals leaves cluster die again to cut out from a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock. With scissors, I cut the cluster into a bunch of smaller leaf clusters.
I tucked the little pieces of leaves into and around the sentiment and flowers, adhering them with Liquid Glue.
Then I added the two remaining flower clusters with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the single Forever Florals flower seven times in Flirty Flamingo ink and cut them all out with the coordinating die in the set.
I used Liquid Glue or a piece of Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere all the flowers to the card front.
I added three Mossy Meadow Natural Matte Dots (coming on 3 March in the Online Exclusives). Then I adhered the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat with Stampin’ Dimensionmals and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Forever Florals in Pecan Pie ink on a piece of Basic Beige Wood Grain Wonders DSP. Next to it, I stamped the little three-stem image from the set in Mossy Meadow and added the flower in Flirty Flamingo ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel inside my Mossy Meadow card base, adhered the card front on with Liquid Glue and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the little stems and flowers on the front…
…and some Pecan Pie Wood Grain Wonders DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I’m already oh-so-in-love with this Wood Grain Wonders DSP, aren’t you!? It’s perfect for masculine cards – or sweetend up with florals like these from the new Forever Florals bundle! They both need to be on your list for 3 March, I’m thinkin’!
