Good morning and happy Sunday. As I type this on Saturday afternoon, I know a bunch of my friends and customers and team mates are hunkering down and trying to stay warm and safe. My prayers are going to all of you!! Right now – there’s really nothing happening here – the timing appears to be for us to get whatever we’re going to get…tomorrow. Not to worry – we have milk and eggs and bread. And chocolate. Quite a large supply of chocolate! 🙂
Today’s card is a kluge between some current products – my fave Sweet Bug Bundle and Cute as a Bug DSP – and some new goodies – the Springtime Scenes Bundle from the March 2026 Online Exclusives (available on 3 March). With them, I made a cool fun fold card. Take a look-see:
I saw a double pop-out fun fold card like this one that SU demonstrator Cindy Piggott created – and I loved it so much that I had to make my own!
I started with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock that I scored at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″. I folded the 2 1/8″ score line as a mountain and the 4 1/4″ score as a valley.
I matted two pieces of Cute as a Bug DSP on Cajun Craze cardstock and adhered them to the front two panels of the card base.
On a narrow piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock, I used Liquid Glue to adhere a second design from the Cute as a Bug DSP. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals – I adhered the matted strip to the right edge of the back panel of the card base.
To make the art – I used the largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut out a Cajun Craze Circle. Then I used two of the dies in the new – and wunnermus! – Springtime Scenes die set to cut out a Mossy Meadow circle and an Old Olive circle.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered first the Mossy Meadow and then the Old Olive circles to the Cajun Craze circle.
I used the Sweet Bugs dies to cut two Cajun Craze mushrooms (a small and a large) and two Darling Duckling mushroom caps (again – a small and a large). I adhered the caps to the mushrooms with Liquid Glue.
Then I adhered the mushrooms to the layered circle with Liquid Glue.
I used two dies from the new Springtime Scenes die set – one to cut a Basic Black ladybug body and the second to cut the wings from Poppy Parade. I adhered the wings to the body with Liquid Glue – then adhered it to the layered circle.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Sweet Bugs sentiment in Cajun Craze ink. Then I cut it out with the handy label die from Springtime Scenes. I adhered it over the ladybug and mushrooms with Liquid Glue.
I stamped two Springtime Scenes leaves in Soft Sea Foam ink and cut them out with the coordinating die. Then I slipped them under the sentiment, adhering them with Liquid Glue.
I cut out three little Springtime Scenes flowers from Poppy Parade cardstock and adhered them with Liquid Glue. I added a small white dot from the new Natural Matte Dots (available in the March 2026 Online Exclusives) to each of the flowers.
To make the pop-out, I folded two small pieces of Cajun Craze cardstock in half and – using Liquid Glue on just one side, adhered one on each side of the fold in the card front.
Then I put Liquid Glue on the top portions and adhered the circle to them.
For the inside, I stamped a Springtime Scenes sentiment in Cajun Craze on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped the larger leaf image from the set twice in Soft Sea Foam Ink.
I matted the panel on Cajun Craze card stock and then adhered it inside the card base with Liquid Glue and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the larger Springtime Scenes leaf in Soft Sea Foam on the front…
…and more of the Cute as a Bug DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Well – as soon as I saw the ladybug dies in the Springtime Scenes Bundle (new – and available on 3 March 2026!) – I KNEW it was going to get a play with the Cute as a Bug DSP and Sweet Bugs bundle. I just love that suite – and know that you do, too! And – since that’s all available right now in the Jan – Apr 2026 Mini Catalog, you can be sure you’ve got it ready to go!!
I hope you like!
