Stampin’ UP! Endless Love Notes Valentine’s Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all It’s Thursday – the FIRST one of 2026!!  And that makes it time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I got a cool card in the mail the other day, from one of my teammates.  It reminded me how much I like “inchie” cards.  She’d taken it up a notch, using black sqaures to make the card front look dimensional.  So – I shamelessly copied the idea to make today’s Valentine’s Day card with the Endless Love stamp set and some Love Notes Mix & Match DSP.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our color challenge.

Okay – the dark color in my DSP…I’m calling it dark Real Red.  That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

I started by cutting out eight 1 1/8″ x 1 1/8″ squares from the Love Notes Mix & Match DSP.

I also cut four Basic White squares of the same size.  On two of them, I stamped the hearts image from Endless Love in Strawberry Slush ink.  On the other two I stamped the “XO” image in Flirty Flamingo ink.

I also cut out 12 1 1/8″ x 1 1/8″ Basic Black squares.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the black squares to the DSP and Basic White squares – offset a bit to create “height”.

I adhered the matted squares to a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Bubble Bath cardstock to make the card front.  I deliberately adhered them all a little bit wonky – it just seemed more fun!

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Endless Love sentiment in Real Red ink and cut it out with a Stylish Shapes banner die.  I used the same die to cut out a Basic Black banner.  Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the sentiment to the black banner – offset a little.

I tied a small bow from Bubble Bath 1/8″ Faux Linen Ribbon and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

I adhered the matted sentiment over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals – added some hearts from the Loose Valentine’s Assortment with little dabs of Liquid Glue – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from Endless Love in Real Red on a Basic White panel.  I stamped two more words – one above and one below – in Strawberry Slush ink.  In the corner, I stamped the Endless Love hearts in Strawberry Slush.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Strawberry Slush hearts on the front…

…and again on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Inchie – or 1 1/8″-ies! – cards are so fun!  And making them have shadows…genius! Thanks, Dancene, for the idea!!  The pretty Love Notes Mix & Match DSP is a great choice – especially when helped out with the fun images from the Endless Love stamp set, don’t you think?!
