Stampin’ UP! CAS Thanking You Pine Tree Thank You Cards

Good morning and happy Monday!  Well – the cold hit yesterday – with a windy blast of arctic air.  So – the barn is all closed up – the plants in the garage – a heated water bucket hung on the outside gate so I don’t have to break ice in the trough in the morning.  It’s going to be 19 – with a wind chill down to I-don’t-even-know.  I can see all y’all northerners rolling yer eyes. 🙄  But – this is the SOUTH!  So…that’s way too danged cold for this kid!

As I was looking at my list of thank-you’s that I need to send, I realized that this would be a good time to make a card that would easily make mulitples.  I hit on the Thanking You stamp from the Annual Catalog and paired it with a tree from the Pine Tree Trimmings set.  Add a double frame and…boom!  Take a look-see:

I did a quick video on how to make this pretty card – in multiples! –  which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by stamping the Thanking You stamp in Poppy Parade on a 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock.

Over the top – I stamped the pretty pine image from the Pine Tree Trimmings stamp set three times in Granny Apple Green ink.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the panel to a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock.

Then I popped it onto a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Poppy Parade cardstock with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added three Granny Apple Green gems from the Shades of Green Hexagons and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped that Pine Tree Trimmings tree in Granny Apple Green ink on a Basic White panel.  Then I stamped the little bow three times in Poppy Parade ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Basic White card base (I didn’t use Thick here – it didn’t need it and it helps keep weight and thickness down for easy mailing!) – adhered the card front with Liquid Glue and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Pine Tree Trimmings tree and bows on the front…

…and the little bow right in the middle of the envelope flap!

Want to do multiples?  Here’s how:

– Determine how many you need to make

– Cut all the cardstock

– One 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Basic White – scored and folded at 4 1/4″ – for each card

– One 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Poppy Parade for each card

– One 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Granny Apple Green for each card

– One 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ piece of Basic White for each card

– One 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White for each card

– Stamp the Thanking You image in Poppy Parade on all the 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ pieces of Basic White cardstock

– Stamp the Pine Tree Trimmings tree three times in Granny Apple Green over each sentiment

– Adhere the white cardstock pieces to the 3 3/4″ x 5″ pieces of Granny Apple Green cardstock – use Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal

– Adhere all the matted panels to the 4″ x 5 1/4″ pieces of Poppy Parade cardstock with Stampin’ Dimensionals

– Add the Shades of Green Hexagons to all the card fronts

– Adhere the card fronts to the front of the card bases with Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal

– Stamp all the 4″ x 5 1/4″ pieces of Basic White cardstock with the Granny Apple Green tree and Poppy Parade bow

– Stamp the fronts of all the Basic White Medium Envelopes with the Granny Apple Green tree and Poppy Parade bow

– Stamp the envelope flaps with the Poppy Parade bow

– Adhere the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White to the inside of the card bases with Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal

And – boom!

Et Voila!  I love the Thanking You stamp – it’s just the one big sentiment stamp – and it does the bulk of the work for you!  But – I made it a CHRISTMAS Thank You card with the color palette and the pretty images from the Pine Tree Trimmings stamp set – another of my faves!
