Good morning, y’all – Happy Thanksgiving! As often happens with Thanksgiving – it’s ALSO Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I decided to make a wintery scene with the Woodland Scenery stamp set – and added some sentiments from the Words for the Season bundle. It’s all on top of a beautiful Christmas Greetings Mix and Match Card! Take a look-see:
And – here’s our theme challenge!
I also used some elements from the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge, too. I went across the center – gold, free, matching envelope.
I started with a 3 3/8″ x 5 5/8″ piece of Gold Foil sheet. From it, I cut out “Christmas” and “Wishes” from the Words for the Season die set. Note: the first letter of each of these die cut words is not attached to the remainder of the word – which is pretty handy! And – be sure to keep track of the eeensy-weensy “dot” for the “i’s”!! 😳
I hung onto the Gold Foil panel – it’s going to be the mat for the art panel!
I set the words in place on a 3 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Basic Beige cardstock and used them as a guide for where to stamp my Woodland Scenery images.
I started stamping the house in Pecan Pie ink – to sort of set the stage. Then I just kept adding images until I was happy! I even added snow – just to be sure that y’all knew it’s “winter”! 🙂
Using little dabs of Liquid Glue – I adhered the die cut words in place. In hindsight – I might have used the Adhesive Sheets but…the Liquid Glue got the job done! And – I even remembered to dot my “i’s”!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to that 3 3/8″ x 5 5/8″ piece of Gold Foil Sheet from which I’d cut the words.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the panel to the front of a Garden Green Christmas Greetings Mix and Match Card.
Then I added a few Flower Accents and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Words for the Season set in Garden Green ink. Then I stamped more of the Woodland Scenery images in Pecan Pie ink and the card was done!
The Christmas Greetings Mix and Match Envelope got more Woodland Scenery images on the front…
…and it didn’t need a darned thing on the envelope flap cuz…they come already decorated! 🙂
Et Voila! How fun is the scene-builder Woodland Scenery stamp set? So cute! It needs sentiments – and the Words for the Season bundle is a perfect choice – I love die cut sentiments, don’t you?!
I hope you like!
