Stampin’ UP! Traditions of Christmas Sneak Peek Hidden Flap Fold for the SU Demos Fun Folds Blog Hop

Good morning everyone! Welcome to this month’s Fun Folds Blog Hop for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!  We’ve got a talented line-up and…I think you’re going to like what you see!  This is a once-a-month hop and…all our cards will be fun folds!!  How cool is that?!?

My card today is all about Christmas!  It’s a great sneak peek of the new Traditions of Christmas Suite – coming soon, on 3 Sept, in the Sept-Dec 2025 Mini Catalog!  With the gorgeous Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP and the two bundles in the suite – Christmas Greenery and Traditional Labels!  I used them on this cool hidden-flap fun fold.  Take a look-see:

I started by cutting two 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ pieces of Secret Sea cardstock.

On one of them, I adhered two 1 1/2″ x 4 1/8″ pieces of the plaid Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP using Liquid Glue.  I placed them on the ends – leaving a normal reveal on the sides, top and bottom.

The second piece of the Secret Sea cardstock is the fold mechanism.  I scored it at 1 3/8″ and 2 3/4″ on the long side.  I folded it into a “z” – with the 1 3/8″ as a mountain and the 2 3/4″ score as a valley.

On the inside of the middle panel – I adhered a 1 1/4″ x 4 1/8″ piece of the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP using Liquid Glue.

I made the inner liner next, stamping two sentiments from Traditional Labels in Secret Sea ink on a 2 5/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock.  Over the top, I stamped a Christmas Greenery floral in stamped-off-once Granny Apple Green ink.  I added a Pool Party gem from the new Traditional Sparkling Sequins (part of the suite and coming on 3 Sept!) then I adhered it to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.

Using Liquid Glue on the back of the folded panel, I adhered it in the center of the card base.

For the front, I cut another piece of Secret Sea cardstock – this one is 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ and adhered a 2 5/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Secret Sea Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP to it with Liquid Glue.

Using the dies in the Christmas Greenery set, I cut some foliage:

– Two Granny Apple Green pine boughs.  I snipped each of them in half to make them shorter.

– Three Garden Green holly leaves.

– Three Gold Sheet leaves – I snipped them down, too, keeping just the top half for this card.

– I cut out three florals right out of the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP!  SOOO cool and pretty!

With everything cut, I modified the two DSP die cut florals.  On one, I used scissors to snip off the bow – leaving the stems.  This picture shows how I cut it – I forgot to take a picture of it before putting it all together – sorry!

For the other two – I cut off the whole bow and stems.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the trimmed pine boughs, holly leaves and trimmed Gold Foil leaves to the small panel.  Note: they can extend past the SIDES of the panel – but not the top!

Then I adhered the trimmed florals with Liquid Glue – adhering the two shorter ones behind the one that still has stems.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the two-line sentiment from Traditional Labels in Secret Sea ink.  Then I cut it out with the wunnermus die in the set.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals – I adhered the sentiment over the floral bouquet.  Then I added some Pool Party Traditional Sparkling Sequins to finish it off.

To finish the card – I put Liquid Glue on the outside left-most flap of the Z-fold and then adhered the completed panel – aligning the left edges.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Christmas Greenery floral image in Granny Apple Green on the front…

Et Voila!  Oh my – this new suite is the bomb AND the diggity!!  I love love love it! The Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP gets the party started with traditional Christmas colors and foil embossing.  And then the Christmas Greenery bundle (which will also cut out images right from the DSP – yeah!!) and the coordinating Traditional Labels bundle bring all the images and sentiments you’ll need for ALL your holiday projects! 🙂
