Good morning, y’all! Happy Friday- I hope your week has gone well. For those of you still digging out from Helene – and now from Milton – I hope that help is coming. And that you are safe. 🙏
My card today is a fun fold – which you probably figured out from the blog post title. It’a a cool – and easy! – Z-fold Christmas card, showcasing the wonderful Shepherd’s Care stamp set and Season of Elegance Specialty DSP. Take a look-see:
You’ll see this card – along with the other Design Team members’ cards – at this week’s Creative Creases Challenge! We’re all about the fun folds and I hope you’ll come and join us – we would LOVE for you to share YOUR fun fold creations with us!
I started with a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Basic Beige cardstock that I scored along the long side at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″. I folded the 2 3/4″ score line as a mountain and the 5 1/2″ line as a valley. And….”Z-fold”. Okay – an “UPSIDE DOWN – AND MAYBE BACKWARDS! – Z”! 🤷♀️
I matted three pieces of Season of Elegance DSP – two Pretty Peacock and one Basic Beige – on Lost Lagoon cardstock and used Liquid Glue to adhere them to the card front – two on the first two small panels – and the third on the end of the back panel.
On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped a Shepherd’s Care sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink. Over the top I stamped the large star in Basic Beige ink. Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the panel to the back panel of the card base.
For the front art – I used the largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut out a piece of non-foiled Basic Beige Season of Elegance Specialty DSP.
I stamped the shepherd from Shepherd’s Care in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. And I stamped the image of Bethlehem in Gray Granite ink.
I colored the shepherd’s head-dress with the Light & Dark Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends – and added some color to his robe with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend.
I used the Light Gray Granite Stampin’ Blend to add some ground under Bethlehem.
I stamped a star and some “snow” in Basic Beige around the two stamped images.
Counting from the center (smallest die) I used the 6th-largest Deckled Circles die to cut a Gold Foil circle and the 7th-largest to cut out a Lost Lagoon circle.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the gold foil circle to the Lost Lagoon circle. Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the art circle.
Using Liquid Glue on the LEFT side of the back of the Lost Lagoon circle – I adhered the art piece to the right side of the front panel of the card base.
On a piece of Basic Beige cardstock, I stamped a Shepherd’s Care sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink and cut it out with the smallest Stylish Shapes banner die.
I tied a small simple bow from the gold trim in the Gold & Silver 1/8″ Trim Combo pack and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.
Using a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment over the bow.

I added a clear Drusy Adhesive-backed Embellishment to the middle of the stamped star – and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the large star from Shepherd’s Care in Basic Beige on the front…
…and more of the Season of Elegance Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love the Shepherd’s Care stamp set – it’s so simple and so perfect – for Christmas or even for a sympathy card. And all the colors in the Season of Elegance Specialty DSP – all enhanced with some gold foiling – are so beautiful and you’ll love them on any of your projects! A Z-fold is a super easy fun fold – I mean…it’s ONE extra fold! But it really is a stunner!
I hope you like!
