Stampin’ Up! Gingham & Sweetest Cherries Card

Good morning and happy Monday! I’m typing this up at 4am on Monday cuz…last night the power went out just as we got done feeding Cady – and didn’t come BACK on until after 10. Anyone who knows me knows I am in BED at 10 – getting up to do a blog post weren’t gonna happen! We had a pretty good storm – not as bad as the adrenaline-spiking “THERE IS A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR YOUR AREA” messages made me think it would be but…I guess a tree went down somewhere – cuz it wasn’t just us.

I was happy we were each able to get in a “Navy shower” with the remaining water pressure – we’d been working outside and were…uhm…yucky. AND – the storm cooled it off just enough that we were able to open the house and – if we held real still – go to sleep. Just in time for the power to return and trigger the printer to come on, the lights in the kitchen, all the fans…. 😂. We WERE happy for those fans, though, for sure!

Long before the power went out – I made a quick card in summer colors featuring some on-sale Glorious Gingham DSP and a few Sweetest Cherries! Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! CAS Earthen Textures & Exposed Brick Thank You Card

Well – happy Monday. Again. Are the weekends going by faster and faster for you, too? I thought for sure that would stop when I retired, but…nope! They still just fly by! 🤷‍♀️

My card today is so quick and so easy – I literally (no – really!) made 4 of them – WITH a reel – in just about an hour! So – if you need some pretty thank you cards quick like a bunny, check it out!

I used the Earthen Textures stamp set – didn’t even need the bundled dies for this one! – and added some texture with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. Take a look-see:

My card today is a cool fun fold that I saw on Lynn Dunn’s blog – it’s a Front Flap Accordion card, and she showed two ways to do it. Accordion-opening or accordion-fixed. When I saw our theme – I pondered using the Hey Chuck stamp set but…that seemed sorta mean and rude. So, instead, I pulled out the Berry Harvest background stamp and the Sweet Citrus stamp set with the coordinating Hybrid Embossing Folder for this one. My card today is a totally quick – totally easy – totally beautiful little number inspired by a sample in the catalog. It uses what is fast becoming one of my favorite stamp sets – the Inked & Tiled set with its bundled Inked & Tiled Punch Pack. Add in some gorgeous Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ DSP and a couple Deckled Rectangles and…BOOM. Done! Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Card Video Sneak Peek for Today – and a New Time!

Good Saturday, my friends! Hope you’ve got a good day planned! I’m going to be cooking – about a billion deviled eggs are in the works – got the Maple Pecan sheet cake done last night. And a batch of Ms Paula Deen’s most-excellent Pimento Cheese put together cuz…Pimento Cheese, y’all! YUM!

AND – at some point today – we’ll pull the three briskets out of the smoker and put them into the faux cambro to rest until they’re cool enough to pull! TRIPLE YUM!

So – due to the birthday party this afternoon – I’m going to be going live on my Stamps-N-Lingers YouTube channel with a fun card for you – but…it’s going to be really EARLY! Like…at 1pm Eastern! I know that’s right in the middle of your day – and I’m sorry for it but…🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. Needs must! Here’s a sneaky peek!
