Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop! Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is “Celebrate Summer”! We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
A pitcher filled with flowers. Lemons waiting to be squeezed. Birthdays in June! All these things say summer to me – and the So Refreshing Bundle and some flowers from the Cheerful Daisies die set brings them to my card today – all setting atop the perfect summer paper from the Delightfully Eclectic DSP. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by the sketch challenge from the MFT Sketch Challenge.
And the colors were inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments.
I started by adhering a piece of the beautiful Delightfully Eclectic DSP on the front of a Petal Pink card base. Y’all! This paper is on sale AND it’s a HUGE pack of paper! Like…48 sheets – and you can get it for just $25.50. I’ll do the math for you…that’s $.53 a sheet! WOW!
I stamped the So Refreshing sentiment in Crushed Curry ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.
Then I matted the panel on a Balmy Blue and a Soft Sea Foam mat and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I cut the following:
– The large Cheerful Daisies die cut in Basic White – then I snipped off the two smaller flowers to use on the card.
– The small detailed Cheerful Daisies flower die cut in Basic White.
– Two large So Refreshing die cut leaves in Soft Sea Foam.
– Three small So Refreshing die cut leaves.
– A Cheerful Daisies die cut “twig” in Crushed Curry.
– Cheerful Daisies die cut detailed flowers in Petal Pink.
– So Refreshing die cut pitcher in Balmy Blue.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the Petal Pink Cheerful Daisies detailed die cuts to their coordinating larger flowers. I used a Dark Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend to color the middles of those two flowers.
I adhered all but the “top” flower to the card front with Liquid Glue – then I adhered the pitcher over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally – I used a Dimensional to adhere that final Cheerful Daisies die cut flower.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the So Refreshing two-lemon image twice in full-strength Crushed Curry and added the fill in stamped-off-once Crushed Curry. I also stamped the cut lemon image in full strength Crushed Curry.
I cut them out with their corresponding die from the So Refreshing die set.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the lemons and the small die cut leaves to the bottom of the pitcher. When I had them all adhered – I used double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals to support the lemons that are “hanging off” the bottom of the pitcher.
I added some Brushed Brass Butterflies and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the branch image from So Refreshing in Soft Sea Foam on a piece of Basic White cardstock. I added the flowers from the stamp set – the outline in Petal Pink and the fill in stamped-off-once Petal Pink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Soft Sea Foam mat and then into the Petal Pink card base and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the So Refreshing floral on the front…
…and more of that gorgeous Delightfully Eclectic DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I’m loving the sweet (and a little tart! 😉) So Refreshing bundle – the pitcher and those adorable lemon and beautiful floral images! And the font on the sentiments are gorgeous!! Cheerful Daisies – well. It’s perfect! And the Delightfully Eclectic DSP – on sale right now thru the end of June! – is one of the prettiest packs of designer paper ever!
I hope you like!
