Stampin’ Up! Deckled Inked & Tiled Botanicals Card

Happy Happy HAWWWWMP DAY!!  We’re rounding the top of the week and headed for the downhill slide to the weekend! 😎😎  Yeah!

My card today is a totally quick – totally easy – totally beautiful little number inspired by a sample in the catalog.  It uses what is fast becoming one of my favorite stamp sets – the Inked & Tiled set with its bundled Inked & Tiled Punch Pack.  Add in some gorgeous Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ DSP and a couple Deckled Rectangles and…BOOM.  Done!  Take a look-see:

I played along with the Just Us Girls Word Week Challenge…

And I picked some elements for the card thanks to the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! I went across the bottom (Friend Sentiment – Fave Color – Floral) and up the diagonal (Friend Sentiment – Free – Yellow) and down the right side (Yellow – Die cuts – Floral).

I started by cutting two pieces of the Inked Botanicals DSP – one in Crushed Curry and one in Lost Lagoon (my current most favoritest color!) with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die.

I adhered the Lost Lagoon die cut to the front of my Lost Lagoon card base using Liquid Glue.

On the yellow panel – I stamped the large floral from Inked & Tiled in Crushed Curry Ink.  Then I added the leaves in stamped-off-once Lost Lagoon.

I punched the corner of the panel using one of the punches in the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack.

I set a small square of Very Vanilla cardstock where I figured the sentiment would go, placed the punched DSP panel over the top – and stamped the Inked & Tiled sentiment in Lost Lagoon ink in the opening.

Then I adhered the little square to the card front with Liquid Glue – making sure the sentiment was straight and would still work with the punched hole in the Inked Botanicals DSP panel.

Finally, I adhered the Crushed Curry panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some splatter images in Petal Pink here and there – and a few Lost Lagoon gems from the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the Inked & Tiled flower in Crushed Curry and the leaves in stamped-off-once Lost Lagoon on a Very Vanilla panel.  I added a few splatters in Petal Pink, too.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and into the Lost Lagoon card base and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the floral, leaf and splatters on the front…

…and more of the Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I didn’t really expect to love the Inked Botanical DSP so much but… I totally do and even just ordered two more packs of it (it’s on sale, so…you know!).  It’s just so pretty!  And the Inked & Tiled stamp set is…beautiful, too! With its sweet florals and pretty sentiments!

Finn Fan Fix

You know what causes dog-nundrums??

This.  This is a dog-nundrum.

He’d just gotten comfy – all stretched out on the floor for Nap #4 of the day and…

…Dad sets his lunch plate on the floor CLEEEEAR over by his chair.

What.  To.  Do.

Hmmm.

Well – perhaps look exhausted and a little pitiful….

…yup…it’s working…c’mon, Dad…

Got him wrapped right around his giant hand.  🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

  1. Beautiful card Mary! Love the stamping on the designer paper. Oh my goodness…poor Finn, it is a long way to the 3 feet to the chair. We call that Ginny’s “I’m exhausted” pose. 🙂
