Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical Sneak Peek Fun Fold Video Tutorial!

Good morning, all!  Hope your weekend is going well!

Are you ready for Thanksgiving?  My friend Jan and I finalized the menu for dinner last night.  It looks a LOT like it does every year.  There’s comfort in tradition, yes? 🙂

While Tara used the gorgeous Magnolia Lane suite for her version, I did a sneak peek of the Timeless Tropical stamp set and bundled In The Tropics Dies – with the Tropical Oasis DSP.  Take a look-see!

While the best way to see how to make the card and box is to watch the video – here’s the basics!

I started by coloring my Mini Pizza Box with my Sponge Brayer and Blushing Bride ink.  Then I decorated the top with matted paper from the Tropical Oasis DSP and an Early Espresso sentiment from the Timeless Tropical stamp set (both coming to you on 4 Jan 20!) and some flowers cut with the In The Tropics Die set.  A loop of new Braided Burlap Trim accentuates the tropical theme!

I added matted DSP all the way around the box – and it was ready.  For our card AND/OR a brownie or cookie or…remember, the Mini Pizza Boxes are food safe on the inside! 🙂

For the card, I cut two pieces of Blushing Bride at 3 1/4″ x 9 3/4″ and scored and folded them both at 3 1/4″ and 6 1/2″.  Using Liquid Glue, I overlapped the end squares to create a loooong accordian-fold card!

On the front, I adhered a So-Saffron-matted piece of Tropical Oasis DSP.  I added a smaller strip (with the car) as well.  Using my Stamparatus and the Marker-to-Rubber inking technique, I stamped the Timeless Tropical palm tree – in Early Espresso for the trunk and Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow for the fronds.  Then I cut it with the matching die in the In The Tropics die set.

I adhered the palm trees with Liquid Glue.

For the inside, I used a sentiment from the 2020 Sale-A-Bration set called Sending You Thoughts, stamping it in Early Espresso on Whisper White and cutting it out with a Stitched Nested Label die.  I popped it onto a So-Saffron-matted piece of Tropical Oasis DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals – on the center panel as the focal point.  I added more leaves and flowers – and a Noble Rhinestone gem.

The other panels are decorated with Tropical Oasis Memories & More Card pack stickers or the sentiment from Timeless Tropical.

Et Voila!  I feel a little like a broken record but THIS might be my favorite Suite in the upcoming 2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog!  Tropical Oasis is simply stunning – with the gorgeous DSP and Timeless Tropical stamp set and bundled In The Tropics Dies!  I hope you like and that this one has made its way… WAAAAY up on your MUST HAVE list when the catalog goes live!
