Stampin’ Up! Sweetly Sentimental Lily for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a color challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I pulled out my gorgeous Lily Impressions DSP (which, OBTW – you can get for FREE in the Sale-A-Bration flyer with a $50 purchase) and paired it up with (also FREE) the matching Lovely Lily stamp stamp set ($50 level reward) and Lily Pad Dies ($100 level reward).   To those pretty images, I added a So Sentimental sentiment on a Stitched So Sweetly die cut label.  Take a look-see:

Here’s our color palette!

And – since a good sketch challenge is a great way to get some inspiration, I borrowed mine from this week’s Tuesday Morning Sketches!

It also fits perfectly with the photo inspiration from the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge!

I started with a mostly-Bermuda Bay piece of the Lily Impressions DSP that I embossed in the Stone 3D Embossing Folder (also FREE during Sale-A-Bration, bundled with the Power of Hope stamp set!) and matted it on Basic Black for the card front.

Using my Stitched Shapes dies, I cut two squares from another design in the pack and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

From a third design – mostly in Lovely Lipstick – I cut a Stitched So Sweetly rectangle and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

With an Oval Stitched Shapes die, I cut a Basic Black oval, embossed it in the Stone 3D Folder and popped it onto the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the So Sentimental set, is stamped in Bermuda Bay on Whisper White and cut with another label die from Stitched So Sweetly.

I cut two short lengths of Granny Apple Green 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon and used a couple of Glue Dots to adhere them to the black oval.  Then I popped the sentiment on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then it was time to pull out the Lovely Lily stamp set and it’s matching Lily Pad Dies. HINT:  the Lovely Lily stamp set is a photopolymer REVERSIBLE set.  Which means that one side of the stamp is the detailed side – and you just have to flip it over on your block to stamp the “fill” image!  Cool, huh? 🙂

I created a flower by stamping the small flower detailed image in Lovely Lipstick on some of the Lovely Lipstick Lily Impressions DSP and cutting it with the die in the Lily Pad Die set.  I used a second die to cut a detailed flower from Lovely Lipstick card stock.  Finally – I made a leaf by stamping the leaf in Granny Apple Green on Granny Apple Green card stock and cutting it out.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the three pieces together to form the flower!

Before adhering the flower to the card front – I wound some Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine around my hand several times and twisted it into a figure eight.  Then I used Glue Dots to adhere it to the card front.

Then I used Liquid Glue and a couple of Black Dimensionals to adhere the flower over top.

A single Granny Apple Green Glitter Enamel Dot finished off the card front!

On the inside, I first stamped the detailed flower image in Lovely Lipstick in the corner of a Whisper White panel.  I cleaned the stamp and turned it over, inked the “solid” side in Lovely Lipstick and stamped it one time on my scrap paper.  Then I stamped it into the flower image for the “fill”.   I made a sticky note mask by cutting the flower die from the top of a sticky note – and laid it over top.  Then I stamped the detailed lily pad image in full strength Granny Apple Green and the fill in stamped-off-once Granny Apple Green.

Phew – that was a LOT of words for 4 stamps, huh??  🙂

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Granny Apple Green card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another flower and lily pad on the front…

And a bit more Lily Impressions DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  The So Sentimental stamp set and bundled Stitched So Sweetly dies are a wonderful complement to the Lovely Lily images, Lily Pad die cut flowers and beautiful Lily Impressions DSP, don’t you think?  And – it doesn’t hurt that all the Lily goodies are FREE during Sale-A-Bration!  I hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Lily Pad Impressions and Tulips Sympathy Card

Well – it’s here again!  Monday!  Yeah?

Do you realize January is almost over?!?  Yikes!

My card today celebrates Sale-A-Bration (which is only around thru the end of March, remember).  I used the Lovely Lily stamp set ($50 level reward) and the Lily Pad Dies ($100 level reward), plus the simply gorgeous Lily Impressions DSP ($50 level reward).  And…I borrowed a couple of sentiments from Itty Bitty Greetings (2019-2020 AC) and Timeless Tulips (2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog).  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

And I thought the TGIF inspiration challenge was fun this week, too! 🙂

I started by embossing a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock – it’s the same size as the front of the card – in the new Stone 3D Embossing Folder (get this one bundled with the Power of Hope stamp set with a $100 order during Sale-A-Bration).  Then I adhered it with Liquid Glue to the front of my Pretty Peacock card base.

To make the angled panel, I first laid a piece of the Lily Impressions DSP across the card base.  Then I flipped it over and traced the back of the DSP so I’d know where to cut.

With the pencil line clearly visible, I cut the panel in my Paper Trimmer.

Then I adhered the panel to a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock – lining up the two straight sides to create my “normal” mat edge.

I used my Paper Trimmer to cut off the excess card stock – eyeballing the mat size.

Then I adhered the matted panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.

For the flowers, I used Melon Mambo ink to stamp the large flower in the Lovely Lily stamp set on a piece of Whisper White card stock and one on a piece of Flirty Flamingo.  I “pulled” the ink out into the petals of both flowers using a Blender Pen.  Then I cut them both out with the die in the Lily Pad Dies set.

I also used the detailed flower die to cut a Melon Mambo flower.

The sentiment, from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set, is stamped in Melon Mambo on Flirty Flamingo and cut with the lily pad die.

I layered the flowers and the sentiment using Liquid Glue.  The sentiment is tucked into the flowers – hiding the little “dent” that makes it a lily pad.  So…it’s just an oval!

I wound a piece of So Saffron twine from the Metallics Baker’s Twine and Sequins combo pack ($50 level reward) around my fingers five times, then tied another piece around it to create a “bow”.  Which I adhered to the card front with a Glue Dot.

Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the flowers/sentiment over the top of the bow.

I added some Melon Mambo gems from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a sentiment from Timeless Tulips in Melon Mambo to a Whisper White panel.  In the bottom corner, I stamped the big flower and used my Blender Pen to pull ink into the petals.  Then I added a few Old Olive gems from Noble Peacock.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat and into the Pretty Peacock card base and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Lovely Lily flower in Melon Mambo on the front…

…and a little more of the gorgeous Lily Impressions DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Lovely Lily stamp set and coordinating Lily Pad Dies are the perfect complement to the gorgeous Lily Impressions DSP.

That paper is SO pretty – you can SEE the brush strokes in the oil “paint”!  Stunning!  I hope you like!

If you want to recreate this card – all the Stampin’ Up! products you need are listed down below.  With a $200 order – you could get the Lovely Lily stamp set, the Lily Pad Dies and the Lily Impressions DSP for free!

Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lily Pad Peaceful Moments Sneak Peek

Good morning!  Okay.  So – after my video on Saturday night – someone left a comment that made me sort of take a step back.

I’d mentioned that it was the “last FB live of the year”.  Well….it was the last FB Live of the DECADE.  Last WEEKEND of the DECADE.

This.  Is.  The.  Last.  Monday.  Of the 2010’s!  🙂  So…enjoy it!

My card for today is comprised of so many FREE goodies…I can’t believe it!  Y’all know that Sale-A-Bration is coming up – and three of the five “non-staple” Stampin’ Up! products are IN the Sale-A-Bration flyer!  We’ve got the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set (Free at the $50 level), the matching Lily Pad Dies (Free at the $100 level), the coordinating Lily Impressions DSP ($50 level) and the Metallic Baker’s Twine and Sequins Combo Pack ($50 level)!  Yikes!  Now – I pulled a couple of sentiments from the Peaceful Moments stamp set (in the 2020 Jan-Jun Mini Catalog).  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by the challenge sketch over at Inspire. Create.

I started with some of the gorgeous Lily Impressions DSP for the card front.

Then I started making lily pads and flowers!  The Lovely Lily Pad stamp set is a “reversible” set.  So – ink and stamp the “detailed” side – clean it off and flip it over on the block to stamp the fill in solid image!

So – that’s what I did!  I stamped the large flower in Grapefruit Grove – then flipped the image and stamped the fill in stamped-off-once Grapefruit Grove.

I did the same thing with the smaller flowers – in Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo.

I cut the flowers out with their Lily Pad Dies.  Then I cut some solid leaves from Granny Apple Green and Vellum Card Stock – as well as a few flowers from Vellum.

The last element is a Garden Green Lily Pad – stamped and cut just like the flowers.

I didn’t start this as a collage card – but…it ended up that way!  I layered all the pieces onto the card front – starting with the actual Lily Pad.  I made sure to let some parts “fall” off the edge – so I could trim them later for the sketch!

When I got to the large flower – I first tied a big ole loose bow with two pieces of So Saffron Baker’s Twine from the SAB Metallic Baker’s Twine & Sequins Combo Pack – and adhered it with a dot of Liquid Glue.

Then I popped the large flower on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

At that point, I trimmed the excess off the side with my Paper Trimmer and matted the panel on Grapefruit Grove.

The sentiment, from the Peaceful Moments stamp set (part of the Peaceful Poppies Suite), is stamped in Melon Mambo on Grapefruit Grove card stock.  I fussy cut the sentiment and adhered it with Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A few So Saffron sequins from the Metallic Baker’s Twine & Sequins Combo Pack adhered with Liquid Glue finished off the card front.

On the inside, I stamped a second Peaceful Moments sentiment in Melon Mambo on Whisper White.  Over the top, I added the large Lovely Lily Pad flower in Grapefruit Grove.  I added a tiny So Saffron sequin next to the sentiment.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Grapefruit Grove mat and into my Pretty Peacock card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another of the Grapefruit Grove Lovely Lily Pad flowers on the front…

…and more of that gorgeous Lily Impressions DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Wow!  I love this whole group of Lily Pad goodies – from the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set to the gorgeous Lily Impressions DSP.  And – it’s all FREE!  Get the Peaceful Moments stamp set – with its wonderful sentiments – as the perfect complement!  I hope you like!

So…check out my Special Bundle #3 – The Flower-dy Bundle.  You’ll get the Painted Poppies Bundle and the Peaceful Moments bundle – plus even more great goodies!  AND – you’ll be able to select three $50 level SAB gifts OR one $50 and one $100 level gift.  You could pick the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set and Lily Pad Dies!   😉
