Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves Blessed by Paisleys & Posies

Happy Saturday, y’all!  I had a bit of an awakening on Friday.  I realized I’m pretty behind on making Thanksgiving cards.  I’ve got buckets and tons of Christmas Cards, and a pretty hefty pile of Halloween Cards, but….I’m short Thanksgiving Cards.  So…hang on to your hats – I’m in make-up mode!

One little Finn update.  Went to the vet today to get weighed (him – not me!!) so we could get the right sized Heartworm medicine.  You may remember – back when Finn first came to live with us….

finn-in-the-water
…he was already a big boy at 34 pounds.  Well, just a month later at almost 6 months old (and a week away from his tutoring 🙁 )…he’s 42 pounds!  He’s a weed!

And I need to show you a cute picture….

finn-helping-put-away-the-silver
That’s him plopped between me and the cabinet while I was unloading silver from the dishwasher.  Not earth shattering – it just made me chuckle! 🙂

My card for today is for Thanksgiving.

About time, Mary!

I used the Paisleys & Posies stamp set – added some Copper-embossed Vintage Leaves – and backed it all up with Petals & Paisleys DSP.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Basket of Wishes, Paisleys and Butterflies

Before I get going, I was thrilled to learn the other day that my card from Sunday was a winner at the Stamps Ink Paper challenge!  I’m very grateful to the good folks over there for selecting my card – there were a lot of really great entries, so this is a real honor!  If you want to see this card, check it out right here.  And here’s a link to the blogpost where they announced the winners – do take a minute to check them all out! 🙂

Happy Hawmmp Day, y’all!  Hope your week is going well and that the results of yesterday’s election didn’t send you into a deep funk!  If it did – pull out your card making supplies and make something pretty.  It’s a sure-fire way to distract your mind!

Finn doesn’t give a rat’s patootty about the election.  Just isn’t important to him.  What he cares about these days is…chipmunks.  He thinks they’re self-propelled furry toys placed on the planet for his amusement.  I am sad to report that he actually caught one the other day.  The encounter didn’t go well for the chippy.  Which makes me sad.  Cuz I like the little buggers.  But….he’s a dog.  High on the food chain.  Predator.  Chippy’s are….prey.

So – I can’t really be mad at him.  A bit disappointed?  Yes.  In my eyes, he was just a happy little curly-haired soul bouncing thru life.  What a shock to discover that there’s still “dog” under all that cuteness! 🙂

On the other hand, we’ve had a couple of good close-encounters with the cats.  He’s stood in front of them (on the leash!) while they’re laying on their bed and they didn’t run.  And he didn’t bounce!  So everyone was happy.  I think his encounter with the “beast-cat” at his playdate helped him a lot!

Okay – on to the card for today!  I went completely and totally away from Christmas for this one.  And I pulled out some older stamp sets and thinlits, combining them with a sentiment from the Basket of Wishes stamp set and one from Paisleys & Posies.  Take a look-see:

basket-of-wishes-paisleys-and-butterflies-4-stamps-n-lingers

My design was inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch for this week:

mm-473-sketch

And the colors and theme are from the latest Stamp Ink Paper challenge.

sip-73-sketch
Okay – this one wasn’t difficult, but there are a few steps, so bear with me.

Please don’t bare with me.  That just ain’t fittin’! 😉

To begin, I used a piece of Marina Mist card stock and stamped a sentiment from Basket of Wishes (“Thinking of You”) in Marina Mist ink all over the panel, then I matted it on a piece of Soft Sky card stock.  Then I cut a piece of Vellum card stock the same size as the card front and embossed it in the Fluttering TIEF.  To tone it down a bit, I sponged the Vellum with Marina Mist ink.

basket-of-wishes-paisleys-and-butterflies-2-stamps-n-lingers
My main sentiment, also from Basket of Wishes, is stamped in Wisteria Wonder on Whisper White, cut with an oval die from the Ovals Layering Framelits, and matted on a scalloped edge oval in Soft Sky.

The art work consists of a couple of images from the Butterfly Basics stamp set.  I stamped the flower in Basic Gray Archival Ink on a Whisper White square.  Then I colored it with my Aqua Pen.

Now – this past weekend at OnStage, I learned something that y’all may already know, but I didn’t.  Put 70% Rubbing Alcohol in your Aqua Painter!  It’s a tad thicker than water, and it really does a great job coloring – much smoother and easier to blend than water.  So that’s what I did!

basket-of-wishes-paisleys-and-butterflies-3-stamps-n-lingers
I colored the flower with Pink Pirouette (picking the ink up from the lid of the ink pad) and shaded it with Blushing Bride.  Then I used Mint Macaron for the stem.  I inked up the honeycomb image from Butterfly Basics in Marina Mist and stamped it off once before stamping it all around the flower.  Finally, I matted the square on a scalloped-edge Soft Sky mat.

Another demonstration we saw at the WCMD event this weekend was one on Textures and Layering.  I was really impressed by Kimberly Van Diepen’s presentation, so I tried to incorporate some elements she showed us.  I tore a piece of a Delicate White Doily and used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the back of my square.

basket-of-wishes-paisleys-and-butterflies-1-stamps-n-lingers
Then I used a Glue Dot to adhere a few loops of Silver Metallic Thread to the back of the square.

At this point, I dry fit the oval and the square.  Then I adhered the Vellum panel I made earlier to the card front, using Liquid Glue under the spots where I planned to put my other elements.

Next, I used some Silver 5/8″ Satin Ribbon and some Pool Party 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon and adhered them across the card front for the horizontal element of the sketch.  Finally, I adhered the art square over all that with Liquid Glue.

Still with me?? 🙂

My butterflies come from two spots.  I punched two Marina Mist little guys from Subtles Designer Series Paper with the Bitty Butterfly punch.  The large butterfly was stamped with Watercolor Wings, using Marina Mist and Wisteria Wonder ink – this is a 3-step stamp.  Then I cut it with the matching die from Bold Butterfly Framelits – and I also cut a second butterfly in Silver Foil.  I adhered the two layers together with Liquid Glue and then adhered it and the two Bitty Butterflies to the card.  Then I gave them all some Pearl Basic Jewel bodies.

basket-of-wishes-paisleys-and-butterflies-8-stamps-n-lingers
I adhered the sentiment oval with Liquid Glue, then added a couple of leaves – cut with the little dies in Swirly Scribbles from Silver Foil, and a Petite Petals flower punched from Mint Macaron Designer Series Paper and embellished with a Soft Sky heart Enamel Shape.

And that was it for the card front!

Whew! 🙂

On the inside, I added a sentiment from Paisleys & Posies in Wisteria Wonder on a Whisper White panel.  Then I added some stamped-off-once Marina Mist butterflies from Butterfly Basics.

basket-of-wishes-paisleys-and-butterflies-5-stamps-n-lingers
I SNAILd it to a Soft Sky mat and into a Marina Mist card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done!

The front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope got more stamped-off-once Marina Mist Butterfly Basics butterflies…

basket-of-wishes-paisleys-and-butterflies-6-stamps-n-lingers
…and an envelope flap with more of the Marina Mist Designer Series Paper.

basket-of-wishes-paisleys-and-butterflies-7-stamps-n-lingers
Et Voila!  Nothing difficult or confusing – just of a lot of steps.  But, sometimes, it just takes some extra effort (and a bunch of tools!!) to get a card how you want it, right?  Hope you like – and think it was worth the time! 🙂

Scroll on down for the card cuts and all the goodies you need to make this one for yourself!

Stampin’ Up! Leaflets, Petals, Paisleys & Posies….Oh My!

Happy Sunday, y’all!  I hope that your weekend is going well – maybe getting ready for the onslaught of little ghoulies and ghosties on Monday night?  We don’t get trick or treaters here – which I really kind of miss.  I enjoyed them coming by way back “in the day” when we lived in a neighborhood – our 1/3 mile driveway with a gate sort of puts kids off!  Although it would make for a heck of a Haunted Hay Ride! 🙂

I also hope you’re getting all ready to buy some Designer Paper and take advantage of my Ordering Special – the sale and the special both go away tomorrow night!  Read on down for the details….

We had a great day on Saturday – took Finn over for another playdate with Scout.  He had so much fun with her and the other dogs!  And he thinks Scout is the bees knees.

Why do people say bees knees?  I don’t even think bees have knees and if they do, why would they be any better than anyone else’s knees?  Why not “the elephant’s knees”?  Or…the “anteater’s knees”?  Things that make you say….hmmmmm…

But I digress.  Finn loves Scout and she thinks he’s pretty cool, too!

finn-and-scout
After we got some lunch, we took him with us to get feed.  First time at the Tractor Supply store – and he had a great time!  Met folks who petted him.  Sat down and politely accepted the treat the cashier gave him.  Sniffed every flavor of dog food and treats that were on the bottom shelves.

And got two new toys!!  Cuz….what’s the fun of going to the store if you don’t get a new toy? Or two!?

He’s an awfully good boy!

So, we all had a big day and he’s sleeping now while I share my card with you.  If you remember a couple weeks back I shared the October Paper Pumpkin cards….

october-pp-2-stamps-n-lingers
…and said I was going to make another shaker card using my leftover sequins from the kit and some Vintage Leaves.  Well, today’s the day!  I used the Leaflets Framelits and the sentiment from Paisleys & Posies.  And added a little Petals & Paisleys DSP….and the Petal Burst TIEF.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! A World of Paisleys and Haunts

Happy Saturday, y’all!  As I write this on Friday evening, it’s raining gently outside, which is a blessing borne on the heels of Matthew – who is mostly assuredly not a blessing to most folks that he’s meeting today.  For those of you affected in a less pleasant way – I’m sending thoughts and prayers for your safety.

Before I get to my thank you card for today….here’s a picture of my little Katy.  I really love when cats forget to be cats – and channel their inner dog.

katy-sleeping
It always cracks me up when they sleep right in the middle of the floor – like a dog would.  Her blue tent, in the background, is a much more cat-like-cave.  Soon after I took this picture of her ridiculous cuteness, she got up and went to the tent for another nap.  And some world surveilling out the door.  You can also see where they’ve scattered some food around the bowl.  I do not know how they decide which kernel among the 20 or so identical kernels in each bowl are not worthy of being eaten.  I vacuum – they scatter – I vacuum – they scatter….  sigh…..

Okay – that’s your dose of cute for the day!

My card share is a thank you card and I used several stamp sets to get it done.  I used the World of Thanks, Jar of Haunts, and Paisleys & Posies.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Totally Suite Paisley Trees for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner-2
Mornin’, y’all –  welcome to another edition of the Happy Stampers Blog Hop. If you’re following along, you’ll know this is a color challenge week.  We changed some things up a bit, though – now you may see us use a sketch or design challenge to help us get our creative juices flowing.  Yeah!  I’m excited to see what everyone did with these pretty colors this week.  Hope you are, too, and that you’ll check out all the projects from the ladies-who-hop!

Here’s our color scheme…perfect for the first official day of Fall, don’t you think??

14067473_10210503222365126_1412953050962586921_n
Before I get into my card – let me share the news.  I know many of you probably had a sleepless night, worrying about whether I hurt myself getting on my hands and knees to search for my AWOL spider from the Jar of Haunts stamp set.  And if that wasn’t concerning you – you were anxious about whether I found him – or vacuumed him up!

Well….I found him! 🙂

I searched thru all my scrap paper.  Used a flashlight to peer around under the desk.  Emptied the trash cans – searching (a little bit!) thru the papers in them to see if he was there.  No joy.  I slumped back in despair, knowing I had no choice but to pull up my big girl panties and get down and run my hand all over the floor, hoping I’d feel him.  As I gazed dejectedly down at said floor (have I mentioned I need to vacuum?!?), I noticed an oddly shaped scrap of Real Red card stock.

It looked….blurry…on one end.

Could it….?  Could it possibly be??

Not holding out much hope, I reached down and picked up the scrap.

And, by golly – there he was!!  Clinging stubbornly to that scrap of card stock.  I know he was hoping I’d find him – he’d lost his way – and not vacuum him up!

There was much singing and rejoicing!  And while he was singing and bouncing around,  I gave him a stern talking to for scaring me and a time out.  In his stamp case.  If he thinks I’m just going to jump up and stamp his little image on something anytime soon…well, he’s just got another think coming to him! 😉

So – what did I do with these colors for today?  Well, I didn’t stamp a spider, that’s for darned sure!  I pulled out the Suite Seasons stamp set, which is just chock-a-block full of great sentiments for the season.  I suppose that’s why it’s called that…  I added some trees from Totally Trees and dressed it all up with beautiful Petals & Paisleys DSP.  Take a look-see:

totally-suite-paisley-trees-4-stamps-n-lingers
I used this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge to help me with my design.  Mojo Monday #466:

mm-466-sketch
I started by SNAILing a piece of Mint Macaron design-paper from the Petals & Paisleys DSP to a Rich Razzleberry mat.  For the small rectangle on the left, I SNAILd the copper-foil-embossed paper – also from Petals & Paisleys – to a second Rich Razzleberrry mat.  And SNAILd that to my card front.

The art began with the sentiment from Suite Seasons.  I inked the image with Versamark, then with my Delightful Dijon ink, stamped it on a Very Vanilla square, and sprinkled it with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Then I heated it up – resulting in a shiny, embossed, Delightful Dijon sentiment!

totally-suite-paisley-trees-1-stamps-n-lingers
My trees, from Totally Trees, are stamped three times in Versamark ink, sprinkled with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and heated.  Then I colored the leaves with my Rich Razzleberry, Mint Macaron and Delightful Dijon Stampin’ Write Markers.  I SNAILd the panel to a Rich Razzleberry Mat and then to the card front.

My ribbons are from the 3/8″ Ribbon Trio Pack in the Holiday Catalog in Rich Razzleberry and Delightful Dijon.  I snipped little banner ends and then wrapped them over the top of the card, securing the end with scotch tape.  I used a little line of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to stick the ribbons down on the card.

totally-suite-paisley-trees-2-stamps-n-lingers
For the embellishment, I cut a little shape from Copper Foil with my Paisleys Thinlits and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.  Using a Glue Dot, I added a small Classy Designer Button.  I finished it off with a little bow that I’d tied with a length of Linen Thread and two lengths of Copper Metallic Thread, adhering that with a Glue Dot, too.  And that was it for the card front! 🙂

totally-suite-paisley-trees-8-stamps-n-lingers
On the inside, I SNAILd a Very Vanilla panel to a Rich Razzleberry mat.  Then I used a small image from the Paisleys & Posies stamp set and – stamping off once first – ran it up the side of the panel in Delightful Dijon.

totally-suite-paisley-trees-5-stamps-n-lingers
I SNAILd it into my Delightful Dijon card base, added the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a line of stamped-off-once Paisleys & Posies images across the front…

totally-suite-paisley-trees-6-stamps-n-lingers
…and some more of the Petals & Paisleys DSP on the envelope flap!

totally-suite-paisley-trees-7-stamps-n-lingers
Et Voila!  This pretty Thanksgiving-worthy card holds so many of my favorite things from the Holiday Catalog!  And it sure was easy to put together, too!  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Vintage Paisleys & Posies Grateful

Good morning, y’all!  How’s your week going?  I started mine with a trip to the doc – you know, to get some prescriptions refilled.  Cuz, they gotta listen to your chest, ask you the same questions they asked 6 months ago, take some blood – right after telling you that the tests from 6 months ago look just fine.  And then dispense the scripts.

Oh – and send the bill to the insurance.  Don’t forget that piece, right?

I like my doc, don’t get me wrong.  But…seems a bit like a money-making endeavor, to me.

And I learned a little lesson – one that I knew, but apparently had to relearn.  I have an ankle that’s been giving me some angst – I suspect it’s from an old sprain.  I asked if she’d look at it.

And then drove over to the Outpatient x-ray place – which is where she sent me right after pushing around on my ankle a bit.

So my 30 minute appointment turned into 3 hours.  And guess what’ll be the outcome?  “Looks like you maybe sprained it a couple years ago….did you?  Oh, and you’re getting old, so….” 🙂

Sheesh.

Oh – the lesson?  Never, ever confess to anything “wrong” at the doctor’s (unless you want to spend half a day running around doing tests and stuff!).  I learned that long ago in my previous life, but….guess it slipped my mind!

But, I still had time to make a card – so I did!  This one uses the Paisleys & Posies stamp set, for the pretty sentiments, and Vintage Leaves, for an autumn-y touch.  I added some of the Petals & Paisleys DSP.  Take a look-see:

vintage-paisleys-posies-4-stamps-n-lingers
For my design, I used the sketch over at RetroSketches this week.  Sketch challenge #232:

rs-232-sketch
I started by SNAILing a panel of the Copper-embossed Petals & Paisleys DSP to a Cajun Craze mat.  I SNAILd a second, smaller, piece to another Cajun Craze mat and then SNAILd that to the card front.

I used some Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to adhere a 2015-2017 In Color Doily – in Mint Macaron – to the center panel.  Over that, I ran a length of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon and a piece of Mint Macaron 3/8″ Sheer Linen Ribbon.

vintage-paisleys-posies-2-stamps-n-lingers
My sentiment, from Paisleys & Posies (this is one of my fave sentiments ever!), I stamped in Versamark on Very Vanilla card stock, and heat embossed it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  It’s matted on Cajun Craze and then popped over the ribbons with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped a Vintage Leaf in Versamark on Very Vanilla, heat embossed it in Copper, and cut it with its matching Leaflet die.  Then I used some Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere it to the sentiment panel and card front.

vintage-paisleys-posies-3-stamps-n-lingers
I added a few Cajun Craze Enamel Shapes and that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment in Cajun Craze on a Very Vanilla panel.  Then I heat embossed the Vintage Leaf in Copper down in the corner.

vintage-paisleys-posies-5-stamps-n-lingers
I SNAILd it to a Cajun Craze mat and into my Mint Macaron card base.  The card front’s popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and that finished the card off!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another Copper-embossed Vintage Leaf on the front…

vintage-paisleys-posies-6-stamps-n-lingers
…and an envelope flap from the pretty Cajun Craze-design Petals & Paisleys DSP.

vintage-paisleys-posies-7-stamps-n-lingers
Et Voila!  Vintage Leaves – pretty paisley paper – and a great sentiment all add up to a pretty Fall card.  Thank you card?  Just grateful to a friend card?  Yep – could be any of those things!  Hope you like! 🙂

Speaking of paper – see what I did there? – check the BTHRGO (that’s Buy Three Get One Free – but it danged sure doesn’t just roll off the tongue, does it?!?)  deal coming up on 1 Oct!  Great way to stock up on some Designer Paper!  Scroll down for the deets.

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Better Together Sympathy

Hey, ya’ll – welcome to the week.  I hope you had a great weekend and are ready to get after it again!

Before we get started – can someone tell me why I stayed up until almost midnight on Saturday night?  If you know me, then you know that’s about 4 hours past my “sweet-spot bedtime”.  I stayed up watching The Force Awakens.  Which is fine.  Except that…I’d recorded it.  And – it’s been playing on every single Starz channel pretty much 24/7 since it opened up on Saturday.  Which means I’ve now – on Sunday night – watched it approximately 700 times.

Or….maybe 10.

When I was younger – waaaaaay younger – one of my first driving excursions (without a parent in the car!) was to take my brother and I to see Star Wars.

The first one.

Which is really the fourth one…

And remains – for me – the best one!

It was my first introduction to Han Solo/Harrison Ford – thus starting a life-long crush.  Luke Skywalker?  Nah – Han’s the Man!  And I saw him in it many more times after that.  You know – when you had to go to a theater to see a movie?  Drive?  Park?  Walk in and find a seat?  No Redbox – no HBO….

And boy oh boy – (unlike – IMHO – Luke) he’s aged….beautifully.

(Caution – major spoiler alert coming next….skip to the card if you haven’t seen the movie and plan to!)

************************************************************************************************************************
SPOILER–SPOILER–SPOILER–SPOILER–SPOILER–SPOILER–SPOILER–SPOILER–SPOILER–SPOILER
************************************************************************************************************************

For each of the 700 times I watched the movie this weekend, I yelled bad bad words at Kylo Ren when he…..killed/murdered/assasinated….Han.

When I watched it in the theater, I just sat in stunned and horrified silence.

I don’t think this’ll be like the great carbomite freezing incident of Empire.  It’ll be tough to bring him back from a light-saber thru the heart.

Star Wars will never be the same for me…. 🙁 🙁 🙁

So I made a sympathy card for myself. 😉

Actually, it’s another request card, but…I’m not sure it’s going to answer the mail.  She asked for no flowers, mentioned the swing in Sitting Here.  But…I didn’t want to do that for you again so quick.  And I was afraid I’d end up making yesterday’s card again today – whether I meant to or not!

I decided to go with one of the pretty silhouette images in Artistically Asian, paired up with some Paisleys & Posies images.  And sentiments from Better Together.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Blessed with Petals, Paisleys and Posies

Good cusp-of-the-weekend, y’all!  Yes, it’s that time again – another weekend looms long and luxurious ahead of us!  If we could just keep from sliding into the “weekend time warp”, we’d be doing good, huh?  As it is, we’ll blink and you’ll be reading my Monday morning Salutations.

Maybe it’ll be Sassy…. 😉

Get it?

For my card today, I needed a quick one, cuz I was pretty much covered up on Thursday between my real job and cutting up share goodies!  So, when I find myself in that position, I like to go to a pretty DSP and kind of let it do all the work for me.  For this one, I pulled out the beautiful Copper and Night of Navy paper in the  Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP.  I also called upon the matching stamp set – Paisleys & Posies.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves, Pines and Paisleys for Thanksgiving!

Made it to another weekend – my, how time does seem to fly!  Is it because I’m getting older…or is it because I have company coming in 27 days?  Or…what do y’all think?  I mean, seriously – it feels like I’m gonna blink and it’s going to be Christmas!

In 2025!! 🙂  Sheesh.

So today’s card is probably going to annoy you guys a little – cuz I called on my new favoritest stamp and Thinlit set – the Christmas Pines bundle from the 2016 Holiday catalog.  I can’t help it very much, y’all – I just flat love this set.  So…I’m gonna use it!  I did combine it with another great set – the Vintage Leaves stamp set and Leaflets Framelits.  And, once again, the new Paisleys & Posies stepped in to give me a sentiment.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! A Paisley Time of Year for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner-2
Mornin’, y’all –  welcome to another edition of the Happy Stampers Blog Hop.  It’s color challenge week and I hope you’ll take a minute to browse all the projects brought to you by the ladies-who-hop!  With color week – you never know what we’ll come up with!

Here are  the colors we all worked with this week:

13631413_1495511343808769_864869676973586998_n
Now when I first saw that color combo, I looked to the By the Shore DSP and figured that would be the basis for my card.  But I decided to go a different direction, instead.  I pulled out the new Paisleys & Posies bundle:

Pailseys & Posies Bundle - Stamps-N-Lingers
…and combined it with the Host-Exclusive set from the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog called Time of Year.  And this is what I came up with.  Take a look-see:

Paisley Time of Year 4 - Stamps-N-Lingers
That’s not DSP there on the card front!  I made that using the Baby-Wipe inking technique.  Cool, huh?  Here’s how I did it.

I laid down my silicon sheet to protect my worktable.  Then I laid a regular old baby wipe down on the sheet.  Using my Dapper Denim and Mint Macaron Ink Refills, I randomly dropped drops of each on the baby wipe – letting it all run together.  Then I used that inked-up wipe as my ink pad.  So every time I inked my Paisleys & Posies stamp, I picked up both colors.  And every time, the colors it stamped were different!

Diaper Wipe Technique - Stamps-N-Lingers
I stamped the paisley image all over a Very Vanilla panel.  Then I added a couple of drops of Calypso Coral ink to the edges of my “ink pad” and used that to ink the little flower from Paisleys & Posies and stamped it around the panel.  I SNAILd it to a Calypso Coral mat.

For my Time of Year sentiment, I stamped that in Dapper Denim ink on Very Vanilla.  I cut it out with a square-sided die from the new Squares Layering Framelits.  It’s matted on a Calypso Coral scalloped-edge square, also cut with the Layering Framelits.

Paisley Time of Year 3 - Stamps-N-Lingers
I also used my baby wipe ink pad to stamp another little image from Paisleys & Posies in the top corner of the sentiment panel.  And I stamped a little circle image – and cut it with the matching die in the Paisley Framelits.  I adhered it with Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue in the opposite corner.

Okay – okay – you’re right.  That one wasn’t planned.  I’d stamped a second little image (like in the top right corner) there, but it came out blurry.  Instead of re-doing the whole panel, I covered it up with a little die cut.

Sheesh.  Y’all know me too well! 😉

Paisley Time of <span style=
Using some new Mint Macaron 3/8″ Sheer Linen Ribbon, I wrapped a length around the card front, securing it in the back with scotch tape.  Then I popped the sentiment square over it all with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few little embellishments…the first is a doubled-over piece of Very Vanilla 1/2″ Lace Trim.  The next is a die cut from the Paisley Framelits.  I went back to my baby wipe ink pad, and pressed a piece of Very Vanilla card stock into it…

Diaper Wipe background - Stamps-N-Lingers
I think that’s so cool – I’m going to have to try this and use my resulting panel as a card front one of these days! 🙂  With this one, though, I used the Paisley Framelit die to cut out a shape, which I adhered over the lace trim with more Liquid Glue.

Paisley Time of Year 8 - Stamps-N-Lingers
Finally, I adhered a bow of the Mint Macaron 3/8″ Sheer Linen Ribbon with a Glue Dot.  And that was it for the card front!

Paisley Time of Year 1 - Stamps-N-Lingers
On the inside, I added a couple more baby-wipe-inked paisley and flower images from Paisleys & Posies on a Very Vanilla panel.

Paisley Time of Year 5 - Stamps-N-Lingers
I SNAILd it to a Calypso Coral mat and then into my Dapper Denim card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done! 🙂

I added more of the same paisley image to the front of my Very Vanilla Medium Envelope…

Paisley Time of Year 6 - Stamps-N-Lingers
…and again to the envelope flap.  For this, I opened the flap up, masked off the front of the envelope with Sticky Note tape, and stamped all over the flap.

Paisley Time of Year 7 - Stamps-N-Lingers
Et Voila!  I think this is an awfully pretty group of images in this set.  And it works really nicely with the baby wipe technique, don’t you think?  Keep that technique in your kit bag, okay?  It’s a good one! 🙂

Card cuts and all the products you need to make this one for yourself are at the bottom of this post…
