Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry Blessings Fun Fold With Video Tutorial

Happy last day of January, y’all! So – I’ve got a fun-fold for you today – that will make you think of summer – and I showed how to make it last night on my Facebook live video. If you were able to spend some of your weekend with me, I appreciate it! If not, here’s the replay on YouTube!

I pulled out one of my favorite papers – that also just so happens to be a freebie during Sale-A-Bration – the Berry Delightful DSP (that I cut using the Curvy Dies!). Then I added some flowers and leaves cut with the Strawberry Builder Punch. And some images and sentiments from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set. All on a cool fun fold. Take a look-see:

The layout for the front of the card is inspired by the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge.

And the TGIF challenge was right up my alley!

I started with a piece of Shaded Spruce card stock, cut to 4 1/4″ x 11″ that I scored along the long side at 2 1/4″, 3 5/8″, 7 3/8″ and 8 3/4″. Then I folded at each score line: 2 1/4″ (valley); 3 5/8″ (mountain); 7 3/8″ (mountain); 8 3/4″ (valley).

I matted two pieces of leafy-green Berry Delightful DSP on Flirty Flamingo and adhered them to the outer panels of the front of the card.

For the front panel, I layered two pieces of the Berry Delightful DSP together and ran them thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the dotted-curve die from the Curvy Dies in place near the middle. That gave me four pieces – with two needed for a card front. If you’re doing the math – that means you can go right ahead and make TWO of these cards lickety split! 🙂

I adhered two of the cut pieces to another piece of Flirty Flamingo and then to the front of the card with Liquid Glue.

The sentiment, from Sweet Strawberry, is stamped in Shaded Spruce on a strip of Basic White. Then I snipped a banner in one end and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On another piece of Basic White, I stamped five small flowers from Sweet Strawberry in Flirty Flamingo. Using the fill-image, I stamped five with full strength Flirty Flamingo and two with stamped-off-once Flirty Flamingo.

Then I stamped three leaves in Shaded Spruce – filling them with Granny Apple Green. I punched everything out with the Strawberry Builder Punch and curled the flowers lightly with my fingers.

I adhered the leaves with Liquid Glue, then added two flowers. With a Glue Dot, I adhered a small bow tied with two lengths of White Baker’s Twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack. Then I added the third flower with Liquid Glue – and a fourth on top of the bow with a Glue Dot. The fifth flower is adhered with Liquid Glue at the end of the sentiment strip.

I colored some Rhinestone Basic Jewels with my Dark Mango Melody Stampin’ Blend and added one to each of the flowers – and the card front was done!

For the back, I matted two pieces of plaid Berry Delightful DSP on Flirty Flamingo and adhered them to the side panels. I added a second Sweet Strawberry sentiment and some flowers and leaves to a Basic White Panel.

The flowers and leaves are in the same colors as the ones on the front. I colored a medium sized Rhinestone with the Mango Melody blend and adhered it to the larger flower.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat and onto the back panel and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Sweet Strawberry flowers and leaves on the front…

…and a little more leafy Berry Delightful DSP on the envelope flap!

Finn Fan Fix

The other day – before the current cold-cycle, it was ALL the way in the high 50’s.

Which is WAY too hot for fur-bucket ponies in full winter regalia!

I thought I got a glimpse of Cady coming up from the back pasture – and she looked suspiciously….drippy.

When they came in that evening….

…It became pretty apparent that she’d been ponding. 😉

Like…all the way in. Based on the look of her – probably rolling in the pond.

It’s just what she does (I’ve seen her in the pond when it was 35!). 🙂

Stampin’ Up! CAS Berry Delightful Blessings

Mornin’, y’all! How goes your week? We’re enjoying a little warm-snap – which is lovely. Wayne’s been working up a storm and has 11 of our 12 new barn roll-up doors on – which will be AWESOME – cuz…supposed to be back down into the high 20’s on Thursday! 😉

I have a clean-and-simple card for you today.

I know – I know. Not at all what you expect from me, right? Well – hang on, cuz…I think you’ll like it as much as I do. It perfectly showcases the gorgeous Berry Blessings Bundle – which you can get for FREE during Sale-a-Bration with a $100 order (not including shipping & tax). Take a look-see:

The layout is an interesting one from the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

This is a PERFECT little card to use up scraps that you’ve got sitting around. And your Stamparatus if you wanted to make multiples! 🙂

I started by cutting a piece of the Berry Delightful DSP into three 1/2″ wide strips. Then I matted each of them on 5/8″ wide Granny Apple Green. These started out at about 4″ – and then got trimmed down.

I pulled out a Basic White panel and arranged my three matted-strips in place – keeping them in order so the pattern would match up. Then, using them as reference, I stamped the Berry Blessings sentiment in Poppy Parade.

I adhered the matted strips in place with Liquid Glue. Then, using my Paper Trimmer – I cut the excess off the right side of the panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat.

And….uhm….the card front was done! 😉

On the inside, I used Granny Apple Green to stamp the outline leaves images from Berry Blessings, then filled them with Granny Apple Green. I also stamped a couple of stems. Then I added Poppy Parade berry outlines and fills.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and into my Poppy Parade card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Berry Blessings berries and leaves on the front…

…and more of the wunnermus Berry Delightful DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! There is truly NOTHING to not-love about this amazing Berry Blessings Bundle, right? It’s really stunning – with the Berry Delightful DSP bringing summer cheer to all your projects!!

Finn doesn’t always get on the sofa.

But, the other night, he hopped up and – apparently – had something he wanted to discuss.

But – it turned out all he really wanted to do was “help” me work on my blog! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Berry Delightful Blessings Corner-Fold Card with Video Tutorial!

Good morning and happy Friday! Hoping that your week went well – even with all the….well. You know. I don’t know about y’all but I am so over all of this…you know. 🥺

So – let’s talk about something FUN! Like…FREE Designer Series Paper with a bundled FREE stamp set! Did I say Free?? Yep – with a $100 purchase before shipping & tax, you might pick the goodies in today’s card.

If you were able to join me for my YouTube live yesterday, I appreciate you spending part of your day with me! If not, here’s the replay!

I saw this cute Corner-Fold card design on the talented Rachel Tessman’s blog and decided to give it a go. I even used the same Berry Blessings stamp set and bundled Berry Delightful DSP – cuz I love it. A LOT! Take a look-see:

I played along with the Anything Goes challenge over at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.

I started with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Pacific Point cardstock, that I scored and folded at 4 1/4″ (just like a regular side-fold card).

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere a piece of Granny Apple Green plaid Berry Delightful DSP to the card front.

Then, using my Paper Trimmer, I cut twice to create the twisting corner element. You can see how to do it in the video (where I show you how to use Rachel’s Post-It Note trick!) – and here’s a cut-template.

Once the cuts were done, I turned the corner – bringing the top right-hand corner in towards the middle of the card – and using my Bone Folder to burnish the fold. It’s a lot easier to see in the video. 😉

With a little more Stampin’ Seal, I adhered the turned-down corner to the card front.

I matted another piece of the Berry Delightful DSP on Shaded Spruce and adhered it to the square.

Using the same DSP as on the square – I matted a strip on Shaded Spruce and adhered it across the bottom portion of the card with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Whisper White (or Basic White will for sure work!), I stamped the Berry Blessings sentiment in Shaded Spruce and cut it with a Tasteful Labels die. Then I popped it onto the DSP strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I colored a new Opal Round with my Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blend, added it to the card front and the card front was done.

I stamped the blueberry outline image from Berry Blessings in Pacific Point on a piece of Whisper White then added the fill image in stamped-off-once Pacific Point. I added the leaves outline in Shaded Spruce and then the leaves fill with Granny Apple Green. I cut it with the large circle die in Tasteful Labels and popped it onto the inside of the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the inside, I added the blueberries and leaves in the corner of a Whisper White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into the card base and the card was done!

My Whisper White (or Basic White) Medium Envelope got the Berry Blessings blueberries and leaves on the front…

…and more of the Berry Delightful DSP on the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry Love You Always Treat Box Sneak Peek with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Friday! It’s been a busy week here – catalogs getting mailed – Catalog Pre-Order – lots going on and I’ve felt like I’ve met myself coming and going! But…today???

Today is a GOOD DAY! Ms. Sonya comes back today!

Did you hear the choir of Angels singing?!? I sure did! I am so ready!

So – if you were able to join me yesterday for my YouTube live, I appreciate you spending some time with me – if not, but you’d like to see the replay, here ’tis! In addition to the project – I gave everyone a sneak peek at my second Pre-Order from the new catalog and….the new Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine! 🙂

I made a fun little treat box using products that you’ll be able to get on 5 January in the new Jan – Jun 2021 Mini catalog and 2021 Sale-A-Bration Flyer! The box itself is a Love You Always Treat Box – and it’s very cool! I decorated it with Berry Blessing DSP – which will be bundled with the Berry Blessings stamp set and, as part of the 2021 Sale-A-Bration, will be available for FREE with a $100 purchase! I also used the Sweet Strawberry stamp set and bundled Strawberry Builder Punch. – these are in the Mini Catalog. Take a look-see:

I played along with the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge!

The Love You Always Treat Box goes together pretty easy – once you see it! Do take a peek at the video and you’ll see how easy it is!

Before I assembled the box – I stamped the long side with the leaf outline image from Berry Blessings (this is the stamp set that’s bundled with the Berry Delightful DSP in the Sale-A-Bration flyer!) in Granny Apple Green. Tip – the boxes have a “food safe” side – it’s kind of shiny. The OTHER side – kind of matte – is the one you want on the OUTside of the box if you plan to stamp it. Ink doesn’t dry at all well on the shiny food-safe side. Ask me how I know?

Actually – don’t ask. Watch the video and you’ll see! 😉

I also covered the two short ends of the box and the two long edges of the “sleeve” with some Poppy Parade-matted Berry Delightful DSP before I assembled the box.

For the top of the box, I cut a second design of the Berry Delightful DSP and then laid a strip of the plaid pattern at an angle across it – adhering it with Liquid Glue. I trimmed the excess with my Paper Trimmer and matted the panel on Poppy Parade. Hint: it’s a lot easier to decorate the top of the sleeve/box if you slide the box back into the sleeve – that makes it a little sturdier!

I wrapped a length of Daffodil Delight 3/8″ Ruched Ribbon around the diagonal DSP – securing it in back with Glue Dots. Then I popped the panel onto the top of the box/sleeve with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To make the strawberries, I stamped the outline image from Sweet Strawberry in Poppy Parade four times on a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock and cut them with the Strawberry Builder Punch. I folded two in half and adhered the “fold” to each of the remaining flat strawberries with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the strawberry hat leaf image from Sweet Strawberry three times in Granny Apple Green ink on Granny Apple Green cardstock and cut them with the Strawberry Builder Punch. I used Liquid Glue to adhere two of them to the tops of my strawberries.

I made some leaves by stamping the image from Sweet Strawberry three times in Granny Apple Green onto Granny Apple Green cardstock and punched them out.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the leaves and the two strawberries to the top of the box.

On a piece of Daffodil Delight, I stamped the strawberry again in stamped-off-once Poppy Parade. Then I added the Sweet Strawberry sentiment in Granny Apple Green. I punched it with the punch and added a little strawberry hat leaf with Liquid Glue. Then I adhered it with a couple of stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Et Voila! This Love You Always Treat Box is really cool, y’all – it’s about 2″ tall and 4″ long – so it’s got a little room for some goodies! If you do as I suggest and put the non-food-safe side on the inside – then you’ll want to wrap your food gifts if you use it for that! 🙂

I think the Sweet Strawberry bundle – from the Jan – Jun 2021 Mini Catalog is going to be a lot of fun – and it’s REALLY fun that it totally coordinates with the Berry Blessings Bundle from the 2021 Sale-a-Bration catalog!

On Thursday morning, it was in the low 30’s.

AKA – too stinkin’ cold for me!

I pull on my sweatshirt. Buckle up my Carhartt bibs. Wrap my shemagh twice around my neck. Tug my knitted cap (thanks Mom!) over my head and ears. Zip up my insulated hoody and pull up the hood. Pull on my gloves.
