Happy happy HAAAAWMMMP Day. And….happy Wednesday-before-Thanksgiving-Eve! Yes. A week from tomorrow you’d best have that turkey thawed! Do NOT wait until next Tuesday. Trust me on this – you’ll be Googling “how to thaw my frozen turkey two days before Thanksgiving.”
Ask me how I know this. 😉
My card today is a fun one (I think!). I saw this Disappearing Nine Patch technique on SplitCoast Stampers and wanted to give it a go. So…I picked my fave DSP – the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP. And I combined it with the Bright Baubles set – for the sentiment – and the Time of Giving Bundle for a cute tag! Take a look see:
I was playing along with the Inspired By challenges…
And I selected many of the design elements based on the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge. I got Gift – Non Traditional Holiday Colors – Patterned Paper. And Holiday – Silver/Gold – Patterned Paper! 🙂
I followed the instructions that Betty Traciak gave on her SCS tutorial – first cutting 9 1″ squares of Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP and adhering them to a 3″ x 3″ square of Foam Adhesive Sheet (I decided to use that instead of an Adhesive Sheet).
Using my Paper Trimmer, I cut the square in half – and then cut each half in half.
I re-arranged the squares and adhered them to a 3″ x 3″ square of cardstock. Then I trimmed the whole thing down to a 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ square with my Trimmer. And…totally didn’t take a picture of this stage. Sorry! 🙁
I wrapped two lengths of White 3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbonaround the square – securing it in the back with Glue Dots – to look like a wrapped present. Then I adhered the whole thing to a Blushing Bride mat.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the gift to a Basic White panel and stamped the Bright Baubles sentiment in Misty Moonlight. Then I matted the panel on a Blushing Bride mat to create the card front.
I used a Tailored Made Tag – with the Gift Givingdie centered in it – to cut a Shimmery White cardstock tag. Then I used the same Tailor Made Tag to cut a solid Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP tag.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the detailed Shimmery White tag to the solid Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP tag – then I adhered it to the top of the gift with Liquid Glue.
I tied a fancy bow from the White 3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon and adhered it over the top of the tag with a Glue Dot.
I added some small Blue Adhesive-backed Gems and the card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped a Time of Giving sentiment in Misty Moonlight on a Basic White panel. In the corners, in stamped-off-once Blushing Bride, I added the stylized snowflake image from Time of Giving. I added some Blue Adhesive-backed Gems in the middles of the snowflakes.
I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Blushing Bride mat and into my Misty Moonlight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the stamped-off-once Blushing Bride snowflakes from Time of Giving on the front..
…and more Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love how that Disappearing Nine Patch technique worked to make my “gift” from Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP, don’t you? I hope you’ll give it a go. Bright Baubleshas lots of fun sentiments, but I really like the size and font on this one that I used on the front. I am also really loving how the Tailor Made Tags dies work so perfectly with the Gift Giving tags – the die set bundled with Time of Giving! Such fun – and so handy as we head into the holidays!
Good very-early-morning! I’ll be back later with my card share for today!

Happy Monday! So…I realized something yesterday while we were at Sam’s. Wayne said…”It’s Sunday and everyone is at Sam’s shopping!”. I did a little high-level, very sophisticated math in my head and realized…THANKSGIVING is like…tomorrow!
Well – not EXACTLY – but…close! A week from Thursday! I ordered my ham to pick up next week and then promptly decided (apparently!) that I was “ready”. So…nothing to worry about or prep for – obvs! Sheesh!
Know what’s RIGHT AFTER THANKSGIVING!?
Friday! Bwahahahaha! YOU thought I was going to say CHRISTMAS!
But – it IS right smack around the corner so…today’s card is spot on! It uses the Candy Canes and Sweet Little Stockings stamp set – and is SOOO easy that if you’re behind (I am so NOT behind! 😂😂😂😂) and need some quick cards – I’ve got you covered. Take a look-see!
This one goes fast so….pull out your Stamparatus and…let’s roll!
I started with a piece of Basic White that I matted on Shaded Spruce for the card front.
Another piece of Basic White went into the Stamparatus and I stamped it with the Candy Canes stamp in Real Red.
I used the next-to-largest Scalloped Contours die to cut out a rectangle and adhered it to the middle of the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered a length of Real Red 3/8″ Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon across the panel.
I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Little Stockings in Real Red on a strip of Basic White and matted the strip on Shaded Spruce cardstock.
Then I popped it over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added a Shaded Spruce gem from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the card front was done.
Who AM I!?? 😳😳😳 Surely….this can’t be a Mary card!!?
On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment and a candy cane, from Sweet Little Stockings, in Real Red on a Basic White panel. Then I added another Shaded Spruce Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewel.
I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got a few Sweet Little Stockings candy canes on the front…
…and one…single…yummy…cane on the envelope flap!
Et Voila! Red – White – Green. Classic! Real Red Candy Canes! A Sweet Little Stockings sentiment and…how handy that there was a CANDY CANE in that set, too!?
I hope you like!

Well – good morning, it’s Friday again! House cleaning day (whoo-hoo!) and Day 1 of OnStage! Last night was fun and we saw a lot of Top Performers recognized for their achievements this year! 🙂

I owe ALL of that to my amazing customers and Critters-N-Creatin’ Krew Team! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! 🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻
If you were able to join me yesterday afternoon for my YouTube video, I appreciate you spending part of your day with me! If not – but you’d like to watch the replay and see how to make this fun fold (with a hidden bonus!) – here’s ’tis!
I know. I know. HOW many times will I use the Whimsical Trees bundle and pretty Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP this week?!? I’m sorry (not sorry!). I just love it – and when I saw the sketch that I used…it was too perfect! Just to mix it up a little, I DID use the Christmas Season stamp set for the sentiments – and it’s a fun fold. AND a gift card holder. So…totally different! Take a look-see:
And here’s that sketch I was talking about – from the SugarPea Mix It Up challenge for November!
So – I saw the idea of using a Joy Fold card to make a Gift Card Holder somewhere on Facebook. I carefully saved the post so I could give credit where credit is due but…it’s been disappeared! 🙁 Just know I wasn’t nearly clever enough to come up with this by my ownself!
I started with a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock that I scored at 3″ on the long side to make the large card base. A 3 5/8″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Blushing Bride cardstock, scored at 4 1/4″ on the long side, created the small card base.
I matted some of the snowflake paper from Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP on Mint Macaron and adhered them to the front small panel and the large back panel of the large Misty Moonlight card base.
I cut a piece of Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP – in silver-foil stripes – and adhered it to the inside of the small card base using Liquid Glue. I cut a smaller piece and used the scalloped oval in the Double Oval Punch to cut a half-circle out of one long edge.
I used a thin line of Liquid Glue – right at the very edge! – to adhere that piece to the small card base to create the gift card holder. Note: I only put glue on the two short sides and the non-punched long side.
I matted a piece of Misty Moonlight Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP on Mint Macaron to create the card front for the small card base.
On some Mint Macaron paper from the DSP pack, I stamped the tree image from Whimsical Trees in Mint Macaron. Using a second stamp in the set, I added Misty Moonlight lights to each of the trees and cut them with the matching die in the bundled Christmas Trees Die set. I also cut the cool “open” tree die from the same Mint Macaron DSP.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the three trees to the small card front. Then I fussy cut a bunch of Christmas gifts from the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP. These are “piled” under the trees with Liquid Glue.
I tied a small silver bow from a piece of Simply Elegant Trim and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Christmas Season sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink and fussy cut it – roughly following the shape of the words.
I used my Mint Macaron Stampin’ Write Marker to edge the sentiment, then used double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment to the small card front.
I added a few Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels and then adhered the card front to the front of the small card base. Note: the small card base opens OPPOSITE a “normal” card, so make sure you’ve got it oriented correctly! 😉
For the inside of the small card base, I stamped the second Christmas Seasonsentiment in Misty Moonlight on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I added the Whimsical Trees images in Mint Macaron and Misty Moonlight – then I added a medium Champagne RhinestoneBasic Jewelby the sentiment.
I matted the panel on Mint Macaron and then adhered it inside the small card base.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the small card to the back panel of the larger card base – and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Whimsical Trees images on the front…
…and more of the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I can’t overstate how much I love love love the entire Whimsy & Wonder Suite! The colors in the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP are so much fun for the holidays and the images and die cuts in the Whimsical Treesand bundled Christmas Trees die set are perfect. I borrowed a couple of the sweet Christmas Season sentiments to just slightly change up my message. And…yes. How cool is it to use a Joy Fold card as a Gift Card Holder?!? 🙂
I hope you like!

Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I went with a Christmas theme and some pretty traditional colors! The Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set gave me the starting point with its big sentiment. Then I added some Christmas Pinecone die cuts and Christmas Season images. Take a look-see:
Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all! How goes the week!? We’ve been busy – Wayne on the building, me getting ready for OnStage@Home at the end of the week.
And…roasting peanuts! Our friend brought us a BIG (😳😳) bag of peanuts and I’ve been trying to use them up before they…go bad?
Also – they taste really good roasted. And boiled! 😉
So – I DO want to tell you about something coming next week (16 – 18 Nov) – it’s the Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Sale – and…it’s got some great discounts on cardstock, ink and die sets from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. AND – you can combine the discounts with the Start with Savings Starter Kit special to get you some AMAZEBALLS savings! All the deets are down below!! 🙂
My card today uses the wonderful Sparkle of the Season bundle (NOT from the annual catalog!), Nature’s Harvest DSP and…Cork Specialty Paper! Take a look-see:
The wreath and layout are from the Inspired By challenge this week.
And The Card Concept was also inspirational – for the pumpkins and the color palette! I’d call this style Freestyle Collage!
And the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge…well – I think I got everything BUT Gold Foil/Glitter! 😉
Thanks to the Sparkle of the Season bundle, this one was easy to put together.
To begin with, I cut a piece of Cork Specialty Paper to the same size as my Cajun Craze card base and adhered it to the front of the card with Liquid Glue.
I cut a smaller-than-usual piece of Harvest Meadow DSP, matted it on Evening Evergreen cardstock and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.
Using the Seasonal Swirls dies (bundled with Sparkle of the Season), I cut a leafy wreath from the Cork Specialty Paper and one from Cajun Craze cardstock. I stacked them up on the card front with Liquid Glue.
I used more of the Seasonal Swirls dies to cut leaves from Cork Specialty Paperand Evening Evergreen 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum and Pumpkin Pie pumpkins.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere a Cork and a Shimmer Vellum leaf to the top back of each pumpkin, then I popped the pumpkins on to the wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a Half-Double-Loop Linen Thread bow (the picture below is a regular Double-Loop bow – they’re the same, just with fewer wraps!).
Wrap the Linen Thread around four fingers TWO times.
Without cutting the thread, wrap around two fingers TWO times.
Pull the loops off and squeeze the loops together.
Twist the loops one time around to create a “figure 8”.
Tie a second short length of Thread around the loops in the middle.
Spread the loops out to create a bow.
I adhered the bow to the side of the wreath with a Glue Dot.
On a piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the Sparkle of the Season sentiment in Cajun Craze and cut it with the smallest, skinny Stitched Rectangle Die (my “go-to” sentiment die!) and popped it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used a little Liquid Glue to adhere two more leaves to the end of the sentiment, and then added Pumpkin Pie Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewelshere and there and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second Sparkle of the Season sentiment in Cajun Craze on a Very Vanilla panel. Then I stamped the sweet little three-leaf image in Pumpkin Pie!
I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to an Evening Evergreen mat and into the Cajun Craze card base and the card was done!
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got those little Pumpkin Pie leaves on the front…
…and more of the Nature’s Harvest DSPon the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Yeah – you know I love how this card turned out! The script-y paper from Nature’s Harvest DSP – the Cork Specialty Paper – the bundled up Sparkle of the Season wreath with the Linen Thread bow and simple sentiment. It’s really DOES have all the things! 😉
I hope you like!
