…and the bright color palette is thanks to the Inspire. Create. Challenge.
I started by embossing a piece of Basic White cardstock in the Hive 3D Embossing Folder(new in the Jan-Jun 2022 Mini and available on 4 Jan) and adhering it with Liquid Glue on the front of a Basic White cardstock.
I selected some likely DSP designs from the Sunshine & Rainbows 6″ x 6″ DSP (Sale-A-Bration!) and matted them on Flirty Flamingo, then adhered them to the card front – all with Liquid Glue.
I used the smaller rainbow die in the Brilliant Rainbow die set to cut out a rainbow printed on one design in the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP. The die lines up perfeclty with the DSP – and cuts 4 perfect rainbow arcs!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere each piece of the die cut rainbow to a piece of Basic White cardstock. Then I fussy cut around the complete rainbow.
I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used the cloud dies to cut a few Basic White clouds and then discovered that the Thank You sentiment in the Rainbow of Happiness stamp set fit them PERFECTLY – so…I stamped three of them in Misty Moonlight!
I adhered one cloud (no sentiment) to the rainbow with Liquid Glue – then popped all three sentiment clouds on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some new Brushed Brass Butterflies (these are ALSO new – and super super cool!) and the card front was done!
On the inside I stamped a second Rainbow of Happiness sentiment in Misty Moonlight on a Basic White panel. I used another of the stamps to stamp a rainbow over top – I stamped it three times (offsetting it a smidge each time) – in Magenta Madness, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green. Then I added one more Brushed Brass Butterfly! 🙂
I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat and then into the Thick Basic White card base and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got a repeat of the three-color rainbow on the front…
…and more of the Sunshine & Rainbows 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This new Rainbow of Happiness stamp set – with the bundled Brilliant Rainbow Die set is so bright and cheerful – and I love the sentiments (and the fun fonts!). I am a HUGE fan of dies that cut images from Designer paper – and the Sunshine & Rainbows 6″ x 6″ DSP lets you do just that!

On Friday – Sonya picks up Finn’s toys and piles them in the “toy-bed”. He has a…plethora…of toys.
As she walked out of the living room she asked Finn how long it would take for him to go start digging them out.
Hello again and happy Monday! I don’t know about y’all – but…four-day weekends really throw me for a loop. I have trouble remembering what day it is ANYway. Having a holiday on Thursday just puts me in a spin! 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
My card today is simple – but super sweet (she says modestly!). I used the new Heart & Home DSP and the Honeybee Home stamp set – with the bundled Honeybee Blooms Die set (all coming on 4 Jan in the Jan-Jun 2022 Mini Catalog. Unless…you JOIN the team – this is a GREAT time to do that! THEN you can get them on…Wednesday, 1 December!). Take a look-see:
I started by matting a piece of the pretty gray woodgrain paper from the Heart & Home DSP on Highland Heather for the card front.
Using the next-to-smallest of the skinny dies in the Stitched Rectangle Die set, I cut a piece of the Misty Moonlight paper from Heart & Home and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered a length of 3/8″ Denim Ribbon (part of the Heart & Home Suite and available on 4 Jan) across the card front.
I used the two dies in the Honeybee Blooms die set to cut a Highland Heather and a Misty Moonlight flower- which I then adhered on the left side, over the ribbon, with Liquid Glue.
I tied a simple bow from Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the uber-sweet Honeybee Home sentiment in Highland Heather. Then I cut it with the smallest skinny Stitched Rectangle Die.
Using double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment over the top of the ribbon and the bow.
Finally, I added a few Basic Gray dots from the new Classic Matte Dots (from the Jan – Jun 2022 Mini) and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped two of the flowers from Honeybee Home in Highland Heather and Misty Moonlight. I nestled a small Basic Gray Classic Matte Dot in the foliage.
I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Highland Heather mat and into my Smoky Slate card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Honeybee Home flowers on the front in Misty Moonlight and Highland Heather…
…and more of the Heart & Home DSPon the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Wow – this is going to be SUCH a popular Suite! This amazing Honeybee Home stamp set and bundled Honeybee Bloomsdies are so beautiful! Add the floral and woodgrain beauty of the Heart & Home DSP and… it’s a winner for sure!

I had a friend – and Critters-N-Creatin’ Krew team member! – ask me to help her figure out how to modify a little gift box that she’d seen over at Nigezza Creates. She wanted something a little bigger that would fit some chocolate. You KNOW I am all about MORE chocolate, so…I stuck my engineer hat on and…came up with a 1 1/2″ Square Treat box with the fun and Christmas-y Gingerbread & Peppermints 6″ x 6″ DSP – plus…a few little tags and sentiments here and there. Take a look-see:
While I was making it, I thought…wonder if I couldn’t just give y’all (and myself!) a handy formula so that you could create whatever size box you needed (within the constraints of your cardstock size, of course!). And…so I did. And made a 2 3/4″ Square Gift Box, too!
The basics are the same for any size – and the Box Size you WANT is the starting point for all the calculations!
For the 1 1/2″ square, I started with a 5″ x 6 1/4″ piece of Real Red cardstock. Using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I scored along the long side at 1 1/2″, 3″, 4 1/2″ and 6″. Then I rotated the cardstock to put the short side up and scored at 1/4″, 1 3/4″, 3 1/4″ and 4 3/4″.
I used scissors to cut flaps and tabs…
..as you can see here (and at about the 7:45 point in the video!).
I used my Paper Snips to trim rounded corners on the large tabs.
In the video, I matted the small DSP squares on Basic White and then adhered them to the square panels of the box base.
I selected my “top” and used the very top of the head on the Snowman Builder Punch to cut a “thumb” hole.
Then I added Liquid Glue the small tab on the right side of the base in the picture above. I closed the box together – check the video at about the 19 minute mark to see how!
I used a sentiment from the Peaceful Cabin stamp set and stamped it in Old Olive on Basic White. Then I cut it with a small tag die from the Ornate Frames die set. I also cut a Real Red tag. Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the two little tags together – slightly offset but with the tiny holes lined up.
I ran a piece of white Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack thru the hole and tied a little bow. I adhered the tag with a Glue Dot.
Using the small circle die in the Gingerbread Die set, I cut a small Basic White circle. Then I cut the coordinating “peppermint swirl” die cut in Real Red. I adhered the swirl to the circle with Liquid Glue, then popped it on the end of the tag with a Stampin’ Dimensional – and the box was done!
The large box has some Real Red 3/8″ Mini Ruffled Ribbon and a tag made with the Giving Gifts and Tailored Made Tags die sets.
I adhered the Basic White Tailored Made Tag to the back of the Real Red detailed cut with Liquid Glue – adhering “bad” side to “bad” side. That left the nicer “front” side visible on the back – where I stamped an Old Olive sentiment from the Festive & Bright set.
Et Voila! I love this little Square Gift Box – whether it’s 1″, 1 1/2″ or a “huge” (😉) 2 3/4″! Note: 2 3/4″ is about as big as you can get with 12″ x 12″ cardstock!
While I’ve used the Gingerbread & Peppermints DSP here – you can use whatever DSP suits your occasion! Look thru your stamps and dies (although you NEED the Ornate Frames, Tailor Made Tags and Giving Gifts Die Sets – just saying!) and use the sentiments that you’ve got! 🙂

Good morning, y’all! First off…HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! I hope that (AFTER you read thru our blog!) that you have a most wonderful day with family and friends and lots of food and….elastic waistbands!! 😉
It’s ALSO Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I decided that it would be a good day to acknowledge that it’s practically Christmas, so I pulled out the Sparkle of the Season Bundle (one of my VERY favorites in the current Jul – Dec 2021 Mini Catalog!) and combined it with some gorgeous Peaceful Place Specialty DSP. Take a look-see:
And here’s the sketch we were all working with!
I also took inspiration from the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge this week! I went on the diagonal (Plaid-Wreath-Red); down the left column (Plaid – Layers – Die Cut); and…across the bottom (Die Cut – Sequins/Gsms – Red). 🙂
I started with the diamond-y paper from the Peaceful Place Specialty DSPand I matted it on Evening Evergreen. Then I took a slightly narrower piece of the plaid Peaceful Place Specialty DSP and adhered it over the top with Liquid Glue.
I adhered a narrow strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock across the “seam” with Liquid Glue to create the card front.
Using the dies in the bundled Seasonal Swirls die set, I cut an Evening Evergreen and a Soft Succulent “pine boughs” wreath. I also cut the star-strewn wreath from a piece of the (shiniest) silver foil from the Silver Foil Specialty Pack.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the three die cut wreaths in a “stack”.
I tied a small bow from silver Simply Elegant Trimand adhered it with a Glue Dot.
On a strip of Basic White, I stamped the Sparkle of the Season sentiment in Cherry Cobbler. Then I snipped banners in each end with Paper Snips – and used double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over top.
I cut out six holly leaves – there’s a sweet little die in the Seasonal Swirls Dies that cuts two at a time! – from Evening Evergreen and adhered them around the wreath.
Then I added Cherry Cobbler gems from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels as “berries” for each leaf pair.
I added an Evening Evergreen gem from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to the sentiment and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped the second sentiment from Sparkle of the Season in Cherry Cobbler on a Basic White panel. Over top, I added the pine bough from Sparkle of the Season in stamped-off-once Soft Succulent. Then I added a small Evening Evergreen gem.
I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to an Evening Evergreen mat and into my Cherry Cobbler card base and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got some pine boughs from Sparkle of the Seasonin Soft Succulent on the front…
…and more of the Peaceful Place Specialty DSP on the envelope flap!
Et Voila! Sparkle of the Season – and the bundled Seasonal Swirls dies – is SUCH a great bundle! Crossing multiple holidays, with the gorgeous wreath dies – complete with decorations for the wreaths – this will be one of your go-to bundles! And…there is no denying the subtle, elegant beauty of the Peaceful Place Specialty DSP is there?

Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day – and happy Thanksgiving Eve! Are you ready? Today is cooking day – at least at my house. My pressure cooker is going to be a-steaming away!

The Honeybee Home Bundle is one I was anxiously awaiting – and now…it’s all sticker-mounted and inked up! I also borrowed a sentiment from the Biggest Wish set – available now in the Annual Catalog. And…gorgeous Heart & Home DSPplays a major role. Take a look-see:
I used the sketch from Sunday Stamps for the layout.
And – many elements are thanks to the inspiration from the As You See It challenge.
I started by adhering a piece of new Heart & Home DSP to an Early Espresso mat for the card front.
I cut a piece of Bumble Bee cardstock with a Stitched Rectangle Die, then embossed it in the new Hive 3D Embossing Folder (coming on 4 Jan in the Jan-Jun 2022 Mini Catalog). I adhered the die cut to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I matted some gray woodgrain paper from Heart & Home DSP on Early Espresso and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Then I used a little Liquid Glue to adhere a new Basic Gray Heart & Home Doily (coming in the new catalog on 4 Jan – and the pack has Cinnamon Cider, Basic Gray and Misty Moonlight doilies!)
I used the grass and flowers dies in the Honeybee Blooms Dies(bundled with Bumble Bee Home) to cut two from Bumble Bee and one from Cinnamon Cider cardstock. These are adhered to the gray doily with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the sentiment from Biggest Wish in Bumble Bee ink. Over it, I stamped a grasses image from Honeybee Home in stamped-off-once Cinnamon Cider. Then I cut it with a Layering Circles Die and popped it onto the doily with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped a few little bee images from Honeybee Home in Basic Gray ink on Basic White and cut them with their matching dies in the Honeybee Blooms Dies. I colored them with my Bumble Bee Stampin’ Write Marker.
Then I adhered the bees with Liquid Glue (the bottom bee has a Dimensional under his little bee-butt).
I tied a Linen Thread Double loop bow…
a. Wrap the Linen Thread around four fingers four times.
b. Without cutting the thread, wrap around two fingers four times.
c. Pull the loops off and squeeze the loops together.
d. Twist the loops one time around to create a “figure 8”.
e. Tie a second short length of Thread around the loops in the middle.
f. Spread the loops out to create a bow
…and adhered it with a Glue Dot. To finish off, I added some Cinnamon Cider 2020-2021 In Color Squares and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a sweet sentiment from Honeybee Home in Bumble Bee ink on a Basic White panel. In the corner I used Bumblebee and Cinnamon Cider to stamp some Honeybee Home florals.
I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to an Early Espresso mat and into my Cinnamon Cider card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got more of the Honeybee Home florals on the front…
…and more Heart & Home DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Seriously!? The Honeybee Home stamp set and bundled Honeybee Flowers Die set is part of the Heart & Home Suite and…I love it SOOO much! I mean…look at the font on those sentiments!
Combine it with the Heart & Home DSP and…think of what you can make!
