Stampin’ Up! Fluttering Love Blossoms Sneak Peek

Happy 2-Days-Until-Christmas, y’all! Back at home for a few days – and I’ve discovered a new luxury! Yesterday I spent some time – kind of a lot of time, really – unpacking all my stuff from my recent trip. And unpacking boxes of goodies from Stampin’ Up! that I’d ordered while I was away. Then I sat down to make a card to share for today. Ahhhhhhhhh……what a treat to have all my “stuff” at my fingertips! All my stamp sets to choose from. All my TIEFS. All my inks and paper colors. Sigh…….it was lovely! 🙂

I am having the tiniest bit of difficulty getting back into the swing of at-home-time-management. Dinner? Now?? So, I’m actually writing this post on Wednesday morning which, if you’ve been following me for any time, you’ll know is not my norm. But – I got to too-late-for-me-to-think last night with my card barely done. See what I mean? Time management – fail! But I’ll get better…

So, with everything at hand, I pulled out my Fluttering TIEF, mixed it up with some Love Blossoms DSP (coming soon – 5 Jan!) and a little Papillon Potpourri and a couple of Bloomin’ Love stamps (also coming soon) and this is what I came up with. Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! What’s Up at Stampin’ Up! on 22 December 2015

Good morning! It’s almost Christmas in Georgia (probably where you are, too, huh? 😉 ) – and it’s going to be raining and 70 degrees today. And they’re talking about thunderstorms and isolated tornadoes tomorrow night. Seriously? I don’t think there’s ever been a Christmas song wishing for a rainy, tornadic Christmas! 🙁 Definitely no white Christmas on the books for us this year. I hope if you want a white Christmas, that you’re going to have one..

The Year End Clearance Sale and the Retiring List are both drawing to a close (4 Jan 16). Stampin’ Up! just added even more items to the Clearance Sale, so be sure to check it out! Whoo-hoo!

SU! gave us a little note today about the Stampin’ Trimmer blades. We’re working with the supplier of our Stampin’ Trimmer Cutting Blades on a quality issue. Stampin’ Up! Wild About Flowers Acrylic Block Stamping

Alrighty, folks! I’m home in Atlanta! The weather is crisp and cool and the days are counting down to Christmas. So, as you’d obviously expect – I have a completely non-Christmas card to share with you today. Not a Calling Bird to be found! 😉

I saw a similar kind of project on Pinterest, and wanted to give it a try. It uses acrylic block stamping – something I always think “oh, that’s cool, I’m going to try that” and then I always forget. Well, this time I didn’t forget. I also used my new-to-me Wild About Flowers to create a silhouette and the ever-faithful Watercolor Wishes for the sentiment. Just as an aside, folks – if you haven’t availed yourselves of the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit – do yourself the favor of picking it up. The cards you make with the kit are lovely, and having the exclusive-to-the-kit stamp set to use forever and ever is a true bonus!

Stampin’ Up! Lovely as a Tree and Timeless Textures. A Close Non-Example

Well, good Sunday morning to you! It’s Saturday evening and I’m sitting in my hotel room in San Diego – waiting for dinner to arrive. I made a pretty classic Mary-mistake today. I got into town early enough to decide I’d do a little tourist-y thing. First I took a picture out my window….

…then decided to NOT rent a stand-up paddle board, due to the unseasonably cool (like blustery and freakin’ cold!) weather here.

Yep. The weather. That’s why I didn’t rent a stand-up paddle board!

That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! White Christmas for Super Simple (and Single Stamp set!) Saturday

Hello WEEKEND! And – more importantly for me (and it’s all about me, remember!) – it’s the day before I go home! Whoo-hoo! We got done a little early, so yesterday was just getting ready to get gone – and today I’m headed out to leave tomorrow. I’m so excited….and I just can’t hide it….(please hum that when you read it. Yes, go back and hum the song. You know the one!) 🙂

I used White Christmas – and only White Christmas! – for my share today. It’s on a Whisper White Note Card – so you don’t even have to cut card stock and score it to fold. Easy Peasy is what I’m getting at. Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Lovely as a Tree Brings Peace

It’s Friday. Finally. Following a week made up primarily of Mondays (okay, Tuesday was pretty good, but the rest of the week….there’s been knots in the floss for sure). I’m very much counting on this being the last weekday post from Arizona! Please keep your fingers crossed for me! 😉

Today’s share uses Lovely as a Tree – one of our oldest (and most beloved?) stamp sets. When I get sad that Wonderland (2015 Holiday Catalog – and retiring soon!) is going away, I pull Lovely as a Tree out and remind myself of its beautiful images – including one of my very favorites. It’s a wonderful little pine cone on its bough. And I just love it. So, I combined all that with a sentiment from Peaceful Wreath (also retiring on 4 Jan 16), and this is what I came up with. Stampin’ Up! Sassy Happy Birthday Bow-Tie

Good morning! Hope your last week before Christmas is going well – getting all your shopping and wrapping and house cleaning and stocking-stuffer-buying and guest-readying and tree-trimming done! I’m almost done here – just mailed two boxes of SU! stuff (the heavy things – paper, punches, ink pads, TIEFs and Thinlits-on-magnetic-cards) home to Atlanta. Just a few more days until I’m homeward bound! 🙂

Today’s share is a birthday card – with a masculine bent. I pulled out Sassy Salutations (which remains one of my very favorite sentiment sets!) and the ever-fun Bow-Builder Punch. Add to that a few cool textures from Timeless Textures – which will be available on 5 Jan with the 2016 Occasions Catalog. Take a look-see:

This is pretty cool – don’t know if you saw the Today show last week, but our Stampin’ Up! Interim CEO, Sara Douglass was on the show that day. The segment was about the 2015 Today Show Toy Drive – so far, they’ve raised $15 million in gifts for homeless and disadvantaged children in the U.S. Stampin’ Up! is a long-time donor to this program, and this year we donated $2 million in craft supplies! If you didn’t see it – here’s a link to the SU! segment. Way to go, Stampin’ Up!

Stampin’ Up! Deer Wonderland!

Today’s share is a card that we all need right now – with Christmas fast approaching, and Monday work – something quick and easy! If you’ve got Wonderland and Sassy Salutations (or any other Christmas sentiment set), you can probably knock out a stack of 10 of these in about 20 minutes. Maybe less! Take a look-see:

I’d seen this uber-cute design on Pinterest, and thought – “Self, that’s just too cute – and what a great way to use that sort of odd antler stamp in the Wonderland stamp set!” But, what I saw was a single layer card – and those kind of terrify me. Especially when they’re on a white card. For me, that’s like a brand new t-shirt. Just point where you’d like me to drop something (or, to bring it back to cards – where would you like me to fat finger a smudge!!?). And, I just kind of like layers. 😉

Stampin’ Up! Another Sneak Peek at Love Blossoms Bloomin’ Love!

Hey y’all! Happy Sunday. Do you know what this is? This is the official start of the countdown – not to Christmas (although that’s just a stone’s throw away!), but to me going HOME!!! Whoooooo-hoooooo!!! Yep – seven days from today I’ll be winging my way back to Atlanta – to start dealing with the impending Christmas rush! So – some time between today and Saturday (when I head over to San Diego for my flight out on Sunday) I have to pack up all my stuff. Get the Big Shot nestled in the suitcase (wish I had a second one of them, but….I don’t, so this one’s going to get some frequent flyer miles in the next couple of months!). Probably mail a box home. And, it means I need to get way ahead in cards, too!
