Stampin’ Up! Four-Square Easter Lilies Peace Easter Card with Video

Good morning!  So…did you remember to set those clocks forward before you went to bed last night or…are you running to do it right NOW cuz you just got a reminder?!  LOL!  Just think – it’s still going to be LIGHT at like…7pm tonight!  And that’ll just keep getting later and later.  Whoo-hoo!!

My card today is a celebration – of Spring and of the Resurrection!!  It features the Easter Lilies bundle – some new Flowering Zinnias DSP (a new Online Exclusive!) and…some masking from the Foursquare Decorative Masks.  Take a look-see:

The Easter theme was inspired by the Easter theme at the Global Design Project this week.

I started by adhering a piece of Flowering Zinnias DSP to the front of an Old Olive card base using Liquid Glue.

The card front is a piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock, that I brushed with Daffodil Delight ink using a Blending Brush and one of the Foursquare Decorative Masks.

In the corner, I stamped the Easter Lilies sentiment in Old Olive ink.  Then I matted the panel on Lemon Lime Twist card stock for the card front.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the flower elements from the set in Pebbled Path ink and then cut them out with their matching Easter Lilies dies.

I colored the flowers and stems with the Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Garden Green and Old Olive Watercolor Pencils.

I adhered the stem and top flower (the double-bud) to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Then I added the large center flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals – keeping them near the middle of the flower – so I’d have room…

…to tuck that final flower underneath – adhering it with Liquid Glue.

A few Adhesive-backed Dragonflies & Birds finished off the card front!

On the inside, I stamped the second Easter Lilies sentiment in Old Olive on a Basic White panel.  I added a small flower in stamped-off-once Pebbled Path.  I lightly colored the flower with the Watercolor Pencils and added some Adhesive-backed Birds.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Lemon Lime Twist mat and into the Old Olive card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Easter Lilies flower stamped in full-strength Pebbled Path, and colored with the Watercolor Pencils, on the front…

…and more of the Flowering Zinnias DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Easter Lilies bundle is so lovely – you can make a stamped-and-die-cut lily like I’ve done here – or use the individual petal dies (like I did on this card) – with the perfect Easter sentiments in the stamp set.  Flowering Zinnias DSP is such a gorgeous pack of paper – and it works with so many of our sets!  Don’t forget about using our masks – like those in the Foursquare Decorative Masks set – to add fun touches of texture and color to your projects!

Finn Fan Fix

So – the Man’s new thing.

He “takes” himself around on our last walk after feeding the pony.

When we get in the house – the collar end (apparently?) turns into a toy – and he hightails it into the living room with it.

I call him four or five times with no response.

Then – I inquire as to whether he’d be interested in a cookie.

Surprisingly – even though he brings himself – and his “toy” – to the kitchen – there’s obvioulsy some inner turmoil about reliquishing the collar.

I mean – he DOES, finally, cuz…cookie (hello?!) – but…he does have to think on it a minute!

🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Such a pretty card! Love the colors and those lilies are beautiful! Poor Finn…it’s hard to decide, cookie or collar. The dilemma… 🙂
