Stampin’ Up! Painted Paisleys & Posies for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and it’s going to be fun to see what everyone comes up with – will it be Thanksgiving?  Christmas?   Be sure to check ’em all out when you get done here!

Since today is Thanksgiving, I went old-school.  And I made a card for y’all – as a digital way to say “thank you!”.  I am so Thankful-Grateful-Blessed to have all y’all find my blog and follow me and become my customers and friends!  I’d be hard pressed to send each and every one of you a card (although I would if I could), so…squint yer eyes and know that this one’s for you!

I started by Fast Fusing a piece of the wonderful Wood Textures DSP to a Crushed Curry mat for the card front.  On a smaller piece of Very Vanilla, I began to build the art!

I made the Painted Harvest sunflowers with three colors.  The first layer is Peekaboo Peach – and I stamped that three times on each flower (be sure to rotate the image a bit between each stamp).  Then I used the detailed second-step image twice in Crushed Curry.  I finished it up by stamping the second image again – just one time on each flower – in Pumpkin Pie.

The centers are stamped in Crumb Cake – with Crumb Cake little “seeds”.  While I had it out, I added some more of the little three-dots image in Crumb Cake around the flowers.

I let that ink dry good and rubbed it with my Embossing Buddy.  Then I inked up the sentiment from Paisleys & Posies in Versamark and stamped it on the card front.  I sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heated it up.  And then I Fast Fuse’d the panel onto the card front.

To make my pumpkin patch, I cut a large Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits die cut from Peekaboo Peach.  Using a Sponge Dauber, I sponged an area of Peekaboo Peach card stock with Pumpkin Pie ink – then I adhered the die cut pumpkin over that with Liquid Glue and fussy cut it.  I cut some pumpkin tendrils from Copper Foil with the dies in the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits.  Finally, I stamped three detailed leaves images from the Painted Harvest in Old Olive ink on Old Olive card stock and cut them out with the bundled Leaf Punch.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere the leaves and tendrils to the card front and popped the pumpkin on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I wrapped some Crushed Curry Solid Baker’s Twine twice around the card front, securing it in the back with scotch tape.  Then I made a Billie Moan bow with Linen Thread and secured it with more Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine.  I stuck it all to the card front with a dab of Liquid Glue and the card front was done.

On the inside, I added another Painted Harvest sunflower in Peekaboo Peach, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie to a Very Vanilla panel.  I made the middle with Crumb Cake and added more little “seed” dots around the flower, too.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Crushed Curry mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another Painted Harvest sunflower on the front…

…and a little more of the Wood Textures DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Sunflowers from Painted Harvest and pumpkins from Patterned Pumpkins!  What a combination – perfect for Thanksgiving Day!  Hope you like – and know how grateful I am for each and every one of you! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Hug in a Patterned Pumpkin Patch for the Stamp Ink Paper #125

So – good mornin’, y’all!  It’s Tuesday – almost the last Tuesday I’ll be in Utah.  I’ll actually admit that I’ll miss it here a little – the scenery is ridiculously gorgeous – especially when there’s some weather around!  I’m betting in the middle of July it might not be so appealing to me…

Before we get going, I wanted to share some pretty exciting (and totally and completely unexpected – heck, I wouldn’t have even looked!!) news with you.  I found out yesterday that I am ranked #107 in the US among Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and #227 in the world!  Holy Smokes – can you even believe that?!?  And – I have you guys and my wonderful Critters-N-Creatin’ Krew to thank for it!!  I so very much appreciate my customers and team – thank you thank you thank you!!! 🙂

Our Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #125 this week is a color challenge – some of my favorites!

So, since my happy-place-colors were conveniently aligned for me to use one of my very favorite bundles in the Holiday Catalog – I indulged my love of collages with the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set and Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits.  Take a look-see:

I started with a piece of Cajun Craze card stock and stamped it all over – in Cajun Craze ink – with the little pumpkin from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set.  Then I embossed it in the Layered Leaves Dynamic TIEF and matted it on Crushed Curry.

The center panel is a beautiful piece from Wooden Textures DSP, also matted on Crushed Curry, and Fast Fuse’d to the card front.

Then I started cutting and stamping!  I cut three of the large Patterned Pumpkin die cuts – one each in Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Copper Foil.  I stamped the sentiment from Hug in a Mug in Cajun Craze on a piece of Very Vanilla and adhered the Crushed Curry pumpkin to it with Liquid Glue.  Hint – you need to snip the middle two “grooves” from the die cut!

I also fussy cut some pumpkins from the Painted Autumn DSP.  A Crushed Curry “starry” Patterned Pumpkin die cut and a Pumpkin Pie-on-Crushed Curry pumpkin rounded out the patch.

I layered up the patch with some Copper Foil and Crushed Curry leaves, berries and tendrils, using Liquid Glue for all but the fussy cut pumpkin on the bottom right and the sentiment pumpkin – those are popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a slew of little Crushed Curry stars (from the die cut pumpkin) here and there among the pumpkins, using Liquid Glue. The final finishing touch was a gold star Metallic Enamel Shape just above the sentiment.

On the inside, I stamped a couple of pumpkins from the Pick A Pumpkin set – one in Pumpkin Pie and one in Cajun Craze – on a Very Vanilla panel.  I stamped the large pumpkin first and then covered him with a sticky note mask before stamping the smaller guy.  I used my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker to lightly color their stems.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Crushed Curry mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a repeat of the Pick a Pumpkin pumpkins on the front – but I reversed them…

…and I added some more of the Wood Textures DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This one has just about every one of my favorite things – Fall colors, wood, and piles and gobs of goodies!!  Pick a Pumpkin and the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits – well.  Hope you’ve got them.  If not?  What are you waiting for?!?  Hope you like.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest Pumpkin Cat!

Happy Friday, y’all – when you read this, I’ll probably be on my way back to Utah.

Or not.  My jet lag has jet lag – I have no idea what time it’ll be anywhere I’m at today, so…you know what I mean!  When next you hear from me, it’ll be from Utah!

My card today uses an all-time favorite, the Painted Harvest stamp set, and I played with the Eclipse technique.  A couple of die cuts from the Patterned Pumpkin set and a few Cat Punches lent a hand.  Take a look-see:

I started with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and, using the two-step flower image from Painted Harvest, stamped several flowers all across the panel.  I used three colors for the petals – Crushed Curry, Peekaboo Peach and Pumpkin Pie.  There wasn’t a lot of rhyme or reason behind the color combinations – I just played with the colors.

It’s not like there are any rules – just mix these three colors – two per flower.  Stamp each image a couple three times – rotating the image a little for each stamp. And you’ll be a flower-making rock star!!  Promise!

For the middles, I used Early Espresso – and stamped the large middle twice per flower, rotating with each stamp.  And then I added some little dots – also in Early Espresso – to each flower.

I used the Cat Punch and cut him from the bottom of the panel – and added some eyes in Early Espresso from the Spooky Cat stamp set.  Then I cut four more of him from Early Espresso and stacked them all together with Liquid Glue.

Next, I ran the panel thru the Big Shot with the large pumpkin die from the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits laid on the panel – and slightly overlapping the cut-out cat.  I made sure to keep track of the cut out-middle pieces.

Then I cut three more of the pumpkins from Early Espresso – and stacked them all up with Liquid Glue.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to an Early Espresso and Peekaboo Peach mat and used more Liquid Glue to adhere the stacked pumpkin back into its negative space.  Then I added the single-layer of the cut-out pieces back where they went in the die cut.  To finish it off, I added the stacked cat back in as well.  He sits a little higher than the pumpkin (due to having 4 additional layers versus the three under the pumpkin), giving the impression he’s sitting in front of the pumpkin! 🙂

I enlisted the help of the Gourd Goodness stamp set for the sentiment, stamping it on a strip of Peekaboo Peach card stock in Soft Suede.  I snipped banners in both ends, edged it with my Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker, and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Finally, I tied a bow with two strands each of Crushed Curry and Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twines and adhered it over a Billie Moan Bow made with Linen Thread, using a Glue Dot.  I added it to the card front and it was done!

On the inside, I made three more Painted Harvest flowers across the bottom of a Very Vanilla panel – again from Crushed Curry, Peekaboo Peach and Pumpkin Pie.  I added the centers with the Early Espresso.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to an Early Espresso and Peekaboo Peach mat and into my Crushed Curry card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another Painted Harvest flower on the front…

…and a few more on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love it!  Painted Harvest never fails to impress!!  And I love how it looks like the cat – when you can even see him!! – is sitting in a pumpkin patch, surrounded by beautiful flowers.  Hope you like!!

Stampin’ Up! Pick a Woodland Pumpkin for the Stamp Ink Paper #121

Mornin’, y’all!  It’s a Tuesday in October, so I’m bringing you a project from this week’s Stamp Ink Paper challenge!  I do hope that you’ll take inspiration from the challenge and use it to make a project of your own!

This week’s Stamp Ink Paper #121 challenge was a Tic-Tac-Toe (one of my favorites!).  I worked this one several different ways – down the left side…across the middle – I got my money’s worth out of it!

I went with my current favorite set – the Pick A Pumpkin bundle with the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits.   For the “Embossing” I used the wonderful Woodland TIEF.  Take a look-see:

My layout was inspired by the sketch from the MFT Sketch Challenge this week.

I started by cutting a piece of the Wood Textures DSP stack and laying it over the front of a Crumb Cake card base.  Then I ran the pieces thru the Big Shot, inside my Woodland TIEF.  On the card base, I brushed the trees with an almost-dry Stampin’ Sponge and Crumb Cake ink, then used my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker to highlight the embossing on the trees.  On the DSP, I used the Early Espresso Marker on the trees.  Then I matted the DSP on a piece of Peekaboo Peach card stock.

The middle panel is another piece of Crumb Cake, that I cut into a rectangle with a square Stitched Shapes Framelit.  I laid the framelit on the card stock and ran it about half-way thru the Big Shot.  Then I turned it around, lined up the “stitches” and ran it back thru the other way.  Thus…rectangle from a square! 🙂

Next, I embossed it with the Woodland TIEF – I made sure that its embossing would match the embossing on the card front.  I used my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker to highlight the tree embossing, then I adhered it with some Liquid Glue and started making pumpkins!

I cut a large pumpkin with the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits from Peekaboo Peach card stock and adhered it to a piece of Pumpkin Pie with Liquid Glue, then I fussy cut around it.  The smaller pumpkins, all from Pick a Pumpkin, are stamped in Pumpkin Pie on Peekaboo Peach, then cut with their matching dies from Patterned Pumpkin.  I gave them all faces in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I cut a leaf and a couple pumpkin vine tendrils from Copper Foil and a few leaves from some Painted Autumn DSP, too.  Then I built the collage – using Liquid Glue.  The very last pumpkin – the smallest one – I popped on with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The sentiment is from the Spooky Cat stamp set – stamped in Early Espresso on a strip of Crumb Cake.  I bannerized the end with my Paper Snips, added some faux stitches with my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker – and popped it on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  For my little embellishment, I ran a piece of Linen Thread thru the little hole in a Corrugated Elements tag, wrapped it around a short length of Peekaboo Peach 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding and tied a bow.  Then I adhered it with a Glue Dot and the card front was done!

On the inside, I ran one edge of a Very Vanilla panel thru the Big Shot in the Woodland TIEF and highlighted the trees with my Crumb Cake Marker.  I also lightly brushed them with Crumb Cake using a Stampin’ Sponge.  I stamped another Pumpkin Pie-on-Peekaboo Peach Pick a Pumpkin pumpkin and cut him out with his matching Patterned Pumpkin die.  Then I adhered him over the trees with Liquid Glue and added a tiny Linen Thread bow.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Peekaboo Peach mat and into the Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another Pick a Pumpkin pumpkin on the front…

…and some more of the Painted Autumn DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Y’all told me to keep doing collage cards, so I took your words to heart!  Thank you!!  If you haven’t picked up the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set and its bundled Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits – you’re missing out!  Get them now!

And – getcha some Designer Paper!! This is such a perfect perfect time to stock up on your favorite gorgeous papers – including the Painted Autumn DSP!!

Stampin’ Up! Pick a Painted Patterned Pumpkin

Mornin’, y’all!  The calendar tells me its Friday, so…happy Friday! We’re drawing to the end of week 2 here in Utah (well, after tomorrow, that is!).  Only 5 more weeks and then home to the hubby and the ponies and kitties and Finn!! 🙂  In between – we’ve got OnStage!  I’m so looking forward to seeing everyone….and getting a sneak peek of what’s coming down the pike from Stampin’ Up!

Okay – today’s card.  Now, when I started to make it, I didn’t really plan on it becoming yet another collage card.

I figure y’all are about sick to death of collage cards – with flowers and/or pumpkins and/or leaves – from me.

I mean, seriously.  What a bore – same kind of card almost every day!

But.  It’s for sure in my wheelhouse – and I like them.

So – you have to cope with yet another collage card.  With pumpkins.  And leaves.  I do think it looks quite a bit different from previous ones, though, so let’s pretend I’m just showing you how to make different looks with the same tools!

For this one, I used my current Fall go-to Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits with an assist from Painted Harvest.  Take a look-see:

I played along with two challenges with this one.  The first, which inspired my layout, is from the Global Design Project, which is a CASE the Designer challenge.

And the second was a photo challenge from The Card Concept.  I used what I’d describe as a layered collage with a rustic flavor style! 🙂

I started with a piece of the Wooden Textures DSP and Fast Fuse’d it to a Pool Party mat.  For my sentiment, I used a darker piece of the same paper, and heat embossed – in White – the sentiment from the Painted Harvest stamp set.  Then I Fast Fuse’d it to a Pool Party mat.

I took a silver Foil Snowflake and trimmed it down a bit, then used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the card front.  Over that, I adhered my sentiment panel with Liquid Glue.

To make my collage, I cut a large and a star-filled pumpkin, using the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits, from the same light-wood paper I’d used on the card front. I also cut a couple of the leaves in the same paper (same die set), as well as punching out a few leaves with the new Leaf Punch.

I colored the two Leaf Punch shapes with the Pool Party Stampin’ Blends (coming soon!).  I also stamped a couple of pumpkins from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set in Pool Party on Whisper White and cut them out with their matching dies from Patterned Pumpkin.

I made the star-filled pumpkin be more solid by adhering it to a scrap of Pool Party card stock and trimming the excess with my Paper Snips.

I used Liquid Glue to start layering up my collage elements.  Before I added the star pumpkin, I stuck a couple of silver Year of Cheer Embellishments on with Glue Dots.  Take a look – you can also see a few “spears” of silver Foil Snowflake nestled in there, too.  Then I popped the star pumpkin on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added the last little pumpkin with Liquid Glue.

I tied a bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and one of Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine and added it with a Glue Dot to finish off the card front!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Painted Harvest in Early Espresso on more of the Wood Textures DSP.  Over that I added another couple of Pool Party pumpkins from Pick a Pumpkin.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Pool Party mat and into my Crumb Cake card base, Fast Fuse’d the front on, and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another couple of Pick a Pumpkin pumpkins on the front…

…and a little more of the light Wood Textures DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This looks so similar – and yet so different! – from the cards I’ve been doing these last couple of days!  I hope you’re “getting” how handy and lovely the Pick a Pumpkin/Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits bundle really is – and either have it already or are busily placing an order for it!  Hope you like!

I promise to stop this collage-kick I’m on.

Well.

Probably!

Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Painted Harvest

Happy Hawwmp Day, everyone!  Hope your week is going well!  Mine is…going!  And it went in such a way that I had to eat a peanut butter pumpkin.  But I only had one.  And I was able to keep from eating any donuts.  Again.

Just sayin’.

My card today is the result of…”oh, you’ve got to be kidding me.  I didn’t bring Cherry Cobbler card stock?!?”.  I say that because I was half way done with the card and went to pull out said Cherry Cobbler card stock to cut my mats.  Why?  Cuz I was playing with the TGIF Challenge which is a color challenge using…Cherry Cobbler.  And, I’d already stamped my Seasonal Lantern sentiment and Painted Harvest flower using Cherry Cobbler.

So – I decided to substitute Cajun Craze (right after I put in an emergency, 2-day shipping order for Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry card stock.  Yea.  Forgot that, too).  But I decided that the stamping didn’t look bad – even with the disconnect between the two colors.  So I went for it! Take a look-see:

I was using the sketch challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch to help me with the layout.

And the color scheme is, as I mentioned, from the TGIF Color Challenge.

So – let’s all squint our eyes and pretend that the mats on this card are Cherry Cobbler.

I tried!

I started with a Crumb Cake panel and, using the fern-y leaf image in the Painted Harvest stamp set, stamped it all over in Crumb Cake ink for a tone-on-tone effect.  Then I laid a strip of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon across it – adhering it with a little Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Seasonal Lantern stamp set above the burlap ribbon, in Cherry Cobbler ink.

Next up, I stamped the larger Painted Harvest flower image in Crushed Curry on a piece of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped it three times, inking and rotating the image a little bit with each stamp.  Then I used the inside image and stamped it a couple of times in Cherry Cobbler – again rotating it between the stamps.  I used Crumb Cake and stamped the flower inside image twice.

Say it with me…rotating the stamp a bit each time! 🙂

Then I fussy cut the flower.

I adhered a Delicate White Doily to the side of the panel with Liquid Glue then used my Stampin’ Trimmer to cut off the excess.  Over that, I used a Foil Snowflake.

I smushed the vanilla side of the snowflake into my Versamark pad and then sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Then I heated it up!  I adhered it over the doily and trimmed its excess, too.

And here’s where I discovered the lack of Cherry Cobbler card stock.  So – I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Cajun Craze mat.  Then I wrapped a length of Jute Twine around it, securing it in the back with scotch tape.

I cut a pine bough in Crumb Cake, using the die in the Pretty Pines Thinlits.  Then I cut a second one from a piece of yellow Painted Autumn DSP.  Finally, using the die in the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits, I cut the leaf/berry shape.  These two pieces I smooshed lightly into my Crushed Curry ink pad to make them a little more curry-ish.

Then I build the collage with Liquid Glue.  For the flower, I put a few Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back and used them to wind some Linen Thread looks around – then I popped it over the other elements.

I used my Cajun Craze Stampin’ Write Marker to add some “seeds” to the middle of the flower and then tied a bow from Jute Twine and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  And that was it for the card front.

On the inside, I repeated the Painted Harvest flower in Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake in the corner of a Whisper White panel.  Then I added a few Crumb Cake leaves and Cajun Craze seeds.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Cajun Craze mat and into my Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Painted Harvest flower and leaves on the front…

…and I added a whole slew of Crumb Cake leaves on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I think it turned out okay.  I don’t even think the two colors actually clash all that much.  And, it’s hard to go wrong with Painted Harvest elements, don’t you think?  Hope you like! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Gourd Goodness and Pumpkin Leaves for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!

Good mornin’, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month is Giving Thanks!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I decided to go straight up Fall festival with my card, using the Gourd Goodness stamp set and…a few goodies from my October Paper Pumpkin!  Take a look-see:

I started with a piece of Painted Autumn DSP, that I Fast Fuse’d to a Cajun Craze mat for the card front.  I wrapped a long length of Linen Thread around the card front three times, securing it in the back with scotch tape.  Then I used a Glue Dot to pull the three strands together – right about under the bow on the card.

Next, I raided the leftover pieces of my October Paper Pumpkin kit and adhered two pretty Gold leaves to the card front.  Don’t have this kit?  You can cut some leaves from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits from Gold Foil and adhere them with some Liquid Glue. 🙂

Using the two-step pumpkin image in the Gourd Goodness stamp set – I stamped the first image in Peekaboo Peach on Very Vanilla.  Over the top, I stamped the second image in Pumpkin Pie.  The stems – also two-step – are stamped in Garden Green ink.  Then I fussy cut them.

I also cut a Cajun Craze pumpkin from the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits – and adhered it to another piece of Painted Autumn DSP with Liquid Glue.  Then I fussy cut that, too.

I built up my collage with the Patterned Pumpkin pumpkin adhered with Liquid Glue, popped the Gourd Goodness pumpkins on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then nestled a couple more leaves from the Paper Pumpkin kit in with Liquid Glue.  The final touch is a little Corrugated Elements heart!

My sentiment, from Gourd Goodness, is stamped in Cajun Craze on Very Vanilla and then punched with the Pretty Label Punch.  I used my Peekaboo Peach Stampin’ Write Marker to add faux stitches and then adhered it with Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I made a Linen Thread multi-loop bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Over the center, I stuck a small Gold Faceted Gem and the card front was done!

On the inside, I simply added another of the Paper Pumpkin gold leaves to a Very Vanilla panel.  I would love to be able to buy sheets of these beautiful leaves (hello, Stampin’ Up!?).

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Cajun Craze mat and into my Peekaboo Peach card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another gold leaf on the front…

…and another bit of Painted Autumn DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Fall-on-a card….the perfect ode to plenty and thankfulness!  All from the Gourd Goodness stamp set, a Patterned Pumpkin die cut and a little bit of Paper Pumpkin parts!  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Touches of Texture Patterned Pumpkins

Well – it’s Friday.  But it’s really like Thursday since I have to work tomorrow.  But – we get Sunday and Monday off!  Whoo-Hoo!!  Thank you Chris Columbus! 🙂

Today’s card is a collage card – which I love to do.  But – it’s still got a lot of open space, so…it’s kind of a clean-and-collage-y card!  And it uses the so-pretty Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits with some help from the Touches of Texture stamp set.  Take a look-see:

As you might have noticed, my “photo booth” has changed up a bit.  We’ll see how this works!

I played along with four challenges on this one – the first, from Hand Stamped Sentiments, inspired the layout.

The Paper Players lent the Fall floral theme…

And…the color scheme from the Fab Friday challenge worked perfectly for the theme!

Finally – the Global Design Project was looking for Grateful-themed cards…

I started with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  Using the large splatter image in the Touches of Texture stamp set, I stamped it twice in Fresh Fig ink.  I didn’t re-ink between the stamps, either.  Then I matted the panel on Tranquil Tide and Cajun Craze card stock panels with Fast Fuse.

I added a couple of small flowers from Touches of Texture in Cajun Craze, just to add a little more “collage” to the card.

Next up, I punched a set of leaves in Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide with the new Leaf Punch, and cut a larger set of leaves in Tranquil Tide with the die in the Eclectic Layers Thinlits.  I creased all the leaves a little with my Bone Folder and adhered them with Liquid Glue to the card front.

To make the pumpkin, I cut the large open pumpkin from the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits a few times – twice in Cajun Craze and once in Copper Foil.  I adhered one of the Cajun Craze Pumpkins to a piece of Cajun Craze card stock and fussy cut the excess (to give me something to glue to).  Then I took the Copper Foil cut-out pieces and laid them in the Seaside TIEF and embossed them.  And then I used Liquid Glue to adhere them inside the pumpkin shape.  I did one more run thru of the Patterned Pumpkins die – just enough to yield a Tranquil Tide stem!

I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from All Things Thanks, is stamped in Fresh Fig on a Very Vanilla strip.  I cut banner ends with my Paper Snips, edged the banner with my Cajun Craze Stampin’ Write Marker and popped it on with Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final pieces are some Cajun Craze Enamel Shapes and a bow tied with a length of Jute Twine and one of 1/4″ Copper Trim. The Jute Twine piece is the result of separating the three strands that are twisted together to make the Twine.  I adhered the bow with a Glue Dot.

On the inside, I stamped the splatter image from Touches of Texture again in Fresh Fig on a Very Vanilla panel.  Then I adhered the Copper Foil Patterned Pumpkin over that, with the Cajun Craze cut out pieces in the middle.  I ran the die back thru to cut a Tranquil Tide stem and added it as well!

I Fast Fused the panel to a Tranquil Tide and Cajun Craze mat and into my Thick Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another Touches of Textures Fresh Fig splatter and a Cajun Craze pumpkin from the Patterned Pumpkins on the front…

…and a few more Fresh Fig splatters and Cajun Craze flowers from Touches of Texture on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Some Fall-colored florals from the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits, the new Leaf Punch and the Eclectic Layers.  Throw in some Touches of Texture and you’re all set.  Hope you like!

World Card Making Day Special Promotion!!

1 – 10 October 17

We didn’t come up with World Card Making Day, but we’re thrilled that it’s a thing! It’s a day dedicated to doing what you love most—making handmade cards! It celebrates the creativity and personal connection handmade cards create between loved ones, and it’s a great time to make their own cards to send to your family and friends.

This year the world celebrates the day on October 7, but one day wasn’t enough for us. For ten days (October 1–10), we can get 15% off Notecards & Envelopes and select stamp sets.

NOTE: We’d been offering two free Fast Fuse Refills when you purchased a Fast Fuse Adhesive, but y’all snapped those up so fast that they went on backorder and we had to discontinue that special! 🙁  To help make it up to us, SU! will bring back the same offer on Fast Fuse for five days within the next few months, after they’re confident they have sufficient Fast Fuse in stock (this five-day offer will be in North America only).   In the meantime, we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding!

Stampin’ Up! Patterned Pumpkin Label

Mornin’, y’all!  Well – here ’tis.  The day before the big exodus to Utah!  I’m about to switch to “go” mode – that moment when my brain stops fighting it and just decides to do it and get ‘er done.

Any….second…now…

Well.  Maybe not quite yet.  Soon, though, I’m sure! 🙂

Had a “fun” day yesterday – our extra freezer decided it was time to call it a day.  So – big shuffle of frozen food to the other freezer spaces.  Did use the opportunity to get rid of those things no longer identifiable.  Or so freezer burned that…yea, unidentifiable.  So that happened.  Our neighbor is a refrigeration guy so he came and looked at it – told us we should replace the compressor and keep this one (it’s 20 years old).  Said the new ones are….problematic.  So that’s what we’ll do!

Or – Wayne will do it next week.

My project for today is another Fall-themed card using the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits and some Painted Autumn DSP.  With a little Labels to Love sentiment thrown in for good measure.  Take a look-see:

The layout is inspired by the sketch at the MFT Card Challenge.

And the color palette hails from the Color Throwdown challenge.

I started with a piece of the Painted Autumn DSP and I matted it on Soft Sky for the card front.  Then there’s a strip of Very Vanilla on Soft Sky adhered with Liquid Glue and I wrapped a piece of Peekaboo Peach 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding around the card front, securing it in the back with scotch tape.

Last up is another design from the Painted Autumn, also on Soft Sky, that I popped over the Very Vanilla strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My sentiment, from Labels to Love, is stamped on Very Vanilla.  I used my Cajun Craze and Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Write Markers to color the stamp directly.  Then I cut it with a Stitched Shapes Framelit and adhered it with Liquid Glue and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

I fussy cut a trio of pumpkins from a piece of the Painted Autumn DSP and used my Early Espresso Marker to edge it – that helps to give it a little “substance”.  I used the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits to cut a large pumpkin in Cajun Craze, a couple of Garden Green Leaves, one Soft Sky leaf and a couple of Peekaboo Peach tendrils.

I used Liquid Glue to add the various elements – topping them all off with the fussy cut pumpkins, which are popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow with the Peekaboo Peach Crinkled Seam Binding and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Tip – take a little piece of thread (I used Gold Metallic Thread) and tie it around the ribbon that is laid across the card front.  When you “cinch” the knot down, it helps to create the illusion that the bow was actually tied from a single piece of ribbon.

I added a few Garden Green Enamel Shapes and the card front was done!

On the inside, I inked up a pumpkin from the Pick a Pumpkin set in Peekaboo Peach, then used Tangerine Tango on a Sponge Dauber to add some depth around the edges.  I stamped it a second time on a Sticky note and cut it out as a mask.  Then I inked the smaller pumpkin in Peekaboo Peach and shaded it with Cajun Craze, then stamped it over the taller (and now masked) pumpkin.  I used my Early Espresso Marker to touch up the stems.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Soft Sky mat and into my Garden Green card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another couple of Pick a Pumpkin pumpkins on the front…

…and the envelope flap got some more of the Painted Autumn DSP.

Et Voila!  This Pick a Pumpkin bundle, with the matching Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits might well be one of my favorites in the entire Holiday Catalog!  I really love it – especially when paired up with the oh-so-gorgeous Painted Autumn DSP.  Hope you like!
