Stampin’ Up! Hug in a Patterned Pumpkin Patch for the Stamp Ink Paper #125

So – good mornin’, y’all!  It’s Tuesday – almost the last Tuesday I’ll be in Utah.  I’ll actually admit that I’ll miss it here a little – the scenery is ridiculously gorgeous – especially when there’s some weather around!  I’m betting in the middle of July it might not be so appealing to me…

Before we get going, I wanted to share some pretty exciting (and totally and completely unexpected – heck, I wouldn’t have even looked!!) news with you.  I found out yesterday that I am ranked #107 in the US among Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and #227 in the world!  Holy Smokes – can you even believe that?!?  And – I have you guys and my wonderful Critters-N-Creatin’ Krew to thank for it!!  I so very much appreciate my customers and team – thank you thank you thank you!!! 🙂

Our Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #125 this week is a color challenge – some of my favorites!

So, since my happy-place-colors were conveniently aligned for me to use one of my very favorite bundles in the Holiday Catalog – I indulged my love of collages with the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set and Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits.  Take a look-see:

I started with a piece of Cajun Craze card stock and stamped it all over – in Cajun Craze ink – with the little pumpkin from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set.  Then I embossed it in the Layered Leaves Dynamic TIEF and matted it on Crushed Curry.

The center panel is a beautiful piece from Wooden Textures DSP, also matted on Crushed Curry, and Fast Fuse’d to the card front.

Then I started cutting and stamping!  I cut three of the large Patterned Pumpkin die cuts – one each in Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Copper Foil.  I stamped the sentiment from Hug in a Mug in Cajun Craze on a piece of Very Vanilla and adhered the Crushed Curry pumpkin to it with Liquid Glue.  Hint – you need to snip the middle two “grooves” from the die cut!

I also fussy cut some pumpkins from the Painted Autumn DSP.  A Crushed Curry “starry” Patterned Pumpkin die cut and a Pumpkin Pie-on-Crushed Curry pumpkin rounded out the patch.

I layered up the patch with some Copper Foil and Crushed Curry leaves, berries and tendrils, using Liquid Glue for all but the fussy cut pumpkin on the bottom right and the sentiment pumpkin – those are popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a slew of little Crushed Curry stars (from the die cut pumpkin) here and there among the pumpkins, using Liquid Glue. The final finishing touch was a gold star Metallic Enamel Shape just above the sentiment.

On the inside, I stamped a couple of pumpkins from the Pick A Pumpkin set – one in Pumpkin Pie and one in Cajun Craze – on a Very Vanilla panel.  I stamped the large pumpkin first and then covered him with a sticky note mask before stamping the smaller guy.  I used my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker to lightly color their stems.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Crushed Curry mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a repeat of the Pick a Pumpkin pumpkins on the front – but I reversed them…

…and I added some more of the Wood Textures DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This one has just about every one of my favorite things – Fall colors, wood, and piles and gobs of goodies!!  Pick a Pumpkin and the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits – well.  Hope you’ve got them.  If not?  What are you waiting for?!?  Hope you like.

Stampin’ Up! Pick a Woodland Pumpkin for the Stamp Ink Paper #121

Mornin’, y’all!  It’s a Tuesday in October, so I’m bringing you a project from this week’s Stamp Ink Paper challenge!  I do hope that you’ll take inspiration from the challenge and use it to make a project of your own!

This week’s Stamp Ink Paper #121 challenge was a Tic-Tac-Toe (one of my favorites!).  I worked this one several different ways – down the left side…across the middle – I got my money’s worth out of it!

I went with my current favorite set – the Pick A Pumpkin bundle with the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits.   For the “Embossing” I used the wonderful Woodland TIEF.  Take a look-see:

My layout was inspired by the sketch from the MFT Sketch Challenge this week.

I started by cutting a piece of the Wood Textures DSP stack and laying it over the front of a Crumb Cake card base.  Then I ran the pieces thru the Big Shot, inside my Woodland TIEF.  On the card base, I brushed the trees with an almost-dry Stampin’ Sponge and Crumb Cake ink, then used my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker to highlight the embossing on the trees.  On the DSP, I used the Early Espresso Marker on the trees.  Then I matted the DSP on a piece of Peekaboo Peach card stock.

The middle panel is another piece of Crumb Cake, that I cut into a rectangle with a square Stitched Shapes Framelit.  I laid the framelit on the card stock and ran it about half-way thru the Big Shot.  Then I turned it around, lined up the “stitches” and ran it back thru the other way.  Thus…rectangle from a square! 🙂

Next, I embossed it with the Woodland TIEF – I made sure that its embossing would match the embossing on the card front.  I used my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker to highlight the tree embossing, then I adhered it with some Liquid Glue and started making pumpkins!

I cut a large pumpkin with the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits from Peekaboo Peach card stock and adhered it to a piece of Pumpkin Pie with Liquid Glue, then I fussy cut around it.  The smaller pumpkins, all from Pick a Pumpkin, are stamped in Pumpkin Pie on Peekaboo Peach, then cut with their matching dies from Patterned Pumpkin.  I gave them all faces in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I cut a leaf and a couple pumpkin vine tendrils from Copper Foil and a few leaves from some Painted Autumn DSP, too.  Then I built the collage – using Liquid Glue.  The very last pumpkin – the smallest one – I popped on with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The sentiment is from the Spooky Cat stamp set – stamped in Early Espresso on a strip of Crumb Cake.  I bannerized the end with my Paper Snips, added some faux stitches with my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker – and popped it on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  For my little embellishment, I ran a piece of Linen Thread thru the little hole in a Corrugated Elements tag, wrapped it around a short length of Peekaboo Peach 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding and tied a bow.  Then I adhered it with a Glue Dot and the card front was done!

On the inside, I ran one edge of a Very Vanilla panel thru the Big Shot in the Woodland TIEF and highlighted the trees with my Crumb Cake Marker.  I also lightly brushed them with Crumb Cake using a Stampin’ Sponge.  I stamped another Pumpkin Pie-on-Peekaboo Peach Pick a Pumpkin pumpkin and cut him out with his matching Patterned Pumpkin die.  Then I adhered him over the trees with Liquid Glue and added a tiny Linen Thread bow.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Peekaboo Peach mat and into the Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another Pick a Pumpkin pumpkin on the front…

…and some more of the Painted Autumn DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Y’all told me to keep doing collage cards, so I took your words to heart!  Thank you!!  If you haven’t picked up the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set and its bundled Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits – you’re missing out!  Get them now!

And – getcha some Designer Paper!! This is such a perfect perfect time to stock up on your favorite gorgeous papers – including the Painted Autumn DSP!!

Stampin’ Up! Patterned Pumpkin Label

Mornin’, y’all!  Well – here ’tis.  The day before the big exodus to Utah!  I’m about to switch to “go” mode – that moment when my brain stops fighting it and just decides to do it and get ‘er done.

Any….second…now…

Well.  Maybe not quite yet.  Soon, though, I’m sure! 🙂

Had a “fun” day yesterday – our extra freezer decided it was time to call it a day.  So – big shuffle of frozen food to the other freezer spaces.  Did use the opportunity to get rid of those things no longer identifiable.  Or so freezer burned that…yea, unidentifiable.  So that happened.  Our neighbor is a refrigeration guy so he came and looked at it – told us we should replace the compressor and keep this one (it’s 20 years old).  Said the new ones are….problematic.  So that’s what we’ll do!

Or – Wayne will do it next week.

My project for today is another Fall-themed card using the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits and some Painted Autumn DSP.  With a little Labels to Love sentiment thrown in for good measure.  Take a look-see:

The layout is inspired by the sketch at the MFT Card Challenge.

And the color palette hails from the Color Throwdown challenge.

I started with a piece of the Painted Autumn DSP and I matted it on Soft Sky for the card front.  Then there’s a strip of Very Vanilla on Soft Sky adhered with Liquid Glue and I wrapped a piece of Peekaboo Peach 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding around the card front, securing it in the back with scotch tape.

Last up is another design from the Painted Autumn, also on Soft Sky, that I popped over the Very Vanilla strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My sentiment, from Labels to Love, is stamped on Very Vanilla.  I used my Cajun Craze and Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Write Markers to color the stamp directly.  Then I cut it with a Stitched Shapes Framelit and adhered it with Liquid Glue and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

I fussy cut a trio of pumpkins from a piece of the Painted Autumn DSP and used my Early Espresso Marker to edge it – that helps to give it a little “substance”.  I used the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits to cut a large pumpkin in Cajun Craze, a couple of Garden Green Leaves, one Soft Sky leaf and a couple of Peekaboo Peach tendrils.

I used Liquid Glue to add the various elements – topping them all off with the fussy cut pumpkins, which are popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow with the Peekaboo Peach Crinkled Seam Binding and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Tip – take a little piece of thread (I used Gold Metallic Thread) and tie it around the ribbon that is laid across the card front.  When you “cinch” the knot down, it helps to create the illusion that the bow was actually tied from a single piece of ribbon.

I added a few Garden Green Enamel Shapes and the card front was done!

On the inside, I inked up a pumpkin from the Pick a Pumpkin set in Peekaboo Peach, then used Tangerine Tango on a Sponge Dauber to add some depth around the edges.  I stamped it a second time on a Sticky note and cut it out as a mask.  Then I inked the smaller pumpkin in Peekaboo Peach and shaded it with Cajun Craze, then stamped it over the taller (and now masked) pumpkin.  I used my Early Espresso Marker to touch up the stems.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Soft Sky mat and into my Garden Green card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another couple of Pick a Pumpkin pumpkins on the front…

…and the envelope flap got some more of the Painted Autumn DSP.

Et Voila!  This Pick a Pumpkin bundle, with the matching Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits might well be one of my favorites in the entire Holiday Catalog!  I really love it – especially when paired up with the oh-so-gorgeous Painted Autumn DSP.  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Pumpkin Cat-oween for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!

Good mornin’, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Knew team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month is Halloween!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see who went spooky and who went nice, okay?

I decided to use the Cat Punch and a few pumpkins from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set and Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits to make a sorta sweet and not-at-all spooky card.  Take a look-see:

I played along with a couple of sketches on this one.

The first, from Sunday Stamps, kind of loosely inspired my color choices:

My layout comes from the folks at the TGIF Challenge.

I started with a piece of paper from the Painted Autumn DSP and Fast Fuse’d it to a Night of Navy mat.  Then I cut a Delicate White Doily in half and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue – leaving space between the halves so the doilies would peek out from my center panel.

Next up,  I cut the little cross-shapes out of the corner of a piece of Very Vanilla card stock, using the die in the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits.  To make my background, I used some Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie inks to stamp the leaves images from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set, and added the sentiment from Spooky Cat in Night of Navy.  The little speckles and splotches around the sentiment are actually the bubbles rising from the Spooky Cat beakers – stamped in Soft Sky!  Then I Fast Fuse’d it onto a Night of Navy mat and popped it over the doilies with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Now the cat.  When I first started making a card for the hop, I thought I wanted to play with the Just Us Girls challenge which asked for Watercolor Block stamping.  So I inked up one of my acrylic blocks with Pumpkin Pie ink, spritzed it with water using my Mister, and stamped it down on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.

And then I changed my mind and went another direction.  Specifically in the direction of this card!

But I had that paper…and I needed a cat.  So…out came the Cat Punch and all of a sudden – calico kitty!  I added a Night of Navy face with the little stamp in the Spooky Cat stamp set and adhered her to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Then is was time for the pumpkins.  I cut a large pumpkin in Pumpkin Pie – and adhered it to some Peekaboo Peach card stock then fussy cut the excess – and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I cut a star-strewn Cajun Craze pumpkin and popped it on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Finally – I stamped a Soft Sky pumpkin on Very Vanilla, added a Jack O’Lantern face in Night of Navy and cut it out with the die in the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits.  He’s added with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional and a little Liquid Glue – and finished off the card front.

On the inside, I added a Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze leaf from Pick a Pumpkin on a Very Vanilla panel.  Then I added a strip of the Painted Autumn DSP which I’d matted on Night of Navy.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Night of Navy mat and into my Thick Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelop got a Soft Sky Pick a Pumpkin pumpkin – complete with Night of Navy face.  Then I cut a quick sticky note mask and covered the pumpkin, then stamped a Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze leaf over the top…

…and I added another piece of Painted Autumn DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I’m not sure, but…this may be a personal record for me for making Halloween Cards!  But – if you’re going to make them, then it makes sense to use uber-cute stamp sets and Thinlits like you’ll find in the Pick A Pumpkin bundle.  And don’t even get me started on the Spooky Cat bundle – love love love!!  Hope you like!

Now that you’ve seen my card, I hope you’ll take a little time to jump thru all the other projects we have to share. Click any name below, or you can use the Previous Blog button to jump to Julie’s page or the Next Blog button to see what Karen’s been doing!

NOTE:  Several of us had Irma roll through our areas and knock out power so there may be a few links that aren’t working quite right if you run through the hop early. Hopefully there won’t be any hiccups, but please be patient with us if there are. We’ll get them fixed just as quickly as we can! 🙂
