Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! We’ve got a wide open theme challenge today and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table! I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
Since it’s New Year’s Eve – and…I think most of us are quite ready to see 2020 in the rearview mirror – I figured I’d make a cute card along the lines of a few I’ve seen around the interwebs the past week or so. It features Darling Donkeys kicking a Playful Alphabet2020 to the curb. And it’s all set atop some Flower & Field DSP. Take a look-see:
Happy Monday, y’all! Sorry to start the week with an oxymoron! 😉
I made a fun Congratulations card for you guys today using the Many Mates (yes – a most-awesome sentiment stamp set!), Whale Done and the Whale of a Time DSP. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.
I started with a piece of the wunnermus Whale of a Time DSP that I matted on Calypso Coral for the card front.
Next, I embossed a Whisper White panel in the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder, matted it on Calypso Coral, and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
The horizontal element is another piece of the Whale Done DSP, matted on Calypso Coral and adhered with Liquid Glue.
For the sentiment, I cut a third design of the DSP with the largest square Stitched Shapes Die. In the corner, in Calypso Coral ink, I added a Many Mates sentiment. Then I popped the square onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I fussy cut three turtles from one of the DSP designs and adhered the two smaller ones to the sentiment square with Liquid Glue (and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional to support some of the parts hanging over the edge…). The bottom turtle is popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals!
I used little dabs of Liquid Glue to adhere a few Whale of a Time Sequins and the card front was done!
On the inside, I added a second Many Mates sentiment in Calypso Coral to a Whisper White panel. Then I stamped the turtle from Whale Done across the bottom of the panel in Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point and Blackberry Bliss. I added some Pool Party bubbles. 🙂
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Calypso Coral mat and into my Pacific Point card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Whale Done turtles and bubbles across the front…
…and a little more of the Whale of a Time DSP on the envelope flap!
Et Voila! I love the gorgeous images in the Whale of a Time DSP, don’t you? And fussy cutting the turtles really turned out cute, I think.
Also handy that there’s that cute turtle image in the Whale Done stamp set – making it easy to carry the theme into the inside and onto the envelope! Many Mates lends the perfect sentiments to the whole thing! 🙂
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
We got hay the other day.
You knew that cuz I toldja.
Thought you might like a picture or two of the process.
Once we get the hay home – the real hot and dusty work begins.
Thankfully, Wayne does most of the hard stuff – with the help of the big tractor – complete with A/C and a radio!
Get it off the trailer….
\
Drop it on the ground to get it up on end and then carry it to the barn.
Then he stacks it in – using that giant tractor like a precision instrument!
Finn – in the meantime – is helping me supervise from the golf cart. Which has NEITHER A/C nor radio!
Good morning and Happy Friday! 🙂 Hope you’ve got a fun weekend planned! Not really sure what’s on our agenda, to be honest. Probably something uber-exciting. Like…I think the Costco Business Center has Wayne’s bottled water on sale…
Yes. I know. You’re a little jealous of our Lives-of-the-Rich-and-Famous lifestyle. 😉
I saw a sweet “exploding” box-card that Brigitte Keiling had created with the adorable Zany Zebras stamp set and decided I needed to make one – or two! – of my own and share the how-to with y’all. I did mine with the wonderful Whale Done bundle and gorgeous Whale of a Time DSP. Take a look-see:
If you were able to join me yesterday for my YouTube live, I appreciate you spending some time with me – and you got to see exactly how to build these fun “box cards”. If not – take a gander at it here on YouTube. They’re really pretty easy – but…kinda hard see how to do it in still photos – moving pictures are worth a gazillion words! 😉
The box is super easy to make – I started with a 6″ x 12″ piece of card stock that I scored at 2″ and 4″ on the short side and at 2″, 4″, 6″, 8″ and 10″ on the long side.
I folded and lightly burnished the score lines, then I used my Stampin’ Trimmer to cut at the dotted lines as shown above.
I cut 16 pieces of the Whale of a Time DSP into 1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″ squares and adhered them to the outside of the box with Liquid Glue.
On the second box – the one in the video – I got a little jiggy with it – and changed up the DSP for the “top” of the folded box – so the recipient see a little “sea-scene” when they lift the lid! 🙂
It made me happy!
On the inside, I used some Brights (Pacific Point) or 2020-2022 In Color (Just Jade) 6″ x 6″ DSP for the squares.
On both boxes – I cut two pieces of Whisper White at 1 7/8″ x 5 5/8″. Then I stamped the Whale Done sentiments in Pacific Point for both boxes.
I added a variety of sea images from Whale Done – in Calypso Coral, Pretty Peacock, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Shaded Spruce and Blackberry Bliss.
I cut the Whisper White panels down to 1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″ and adhered them in order with Liquid Glue.
For the “extra” sentiments, I turned to my Many Mates set and stamped a few sentiments on Whisper White in Pretty Peacock, Calypso Coral and Granny Apple Green. I fussy cut the words and edged them in Pacific Point or Granny Apple Green – then adhered them to the panels with Liquid Glue.
Some Whale of a Time sequins, adhered here and there with dabs of Liquid Glue was all that remained for the card.
For the lid – I cut a 3 5/8″ x 5 5/8″ piece of card stock – in Pacific Point for the sample box and Granny Apple Green for the video box. I scored and folded them at 3/4″ from each end on the short and long sides.
Then I snipped “tabs” in the end and adhered the lid together with Stampin’ Seal +.
I adhered strips of Whale of a Time DSP around the edge of the lid. For the top, I stamped a second sentiment from Whale Done in Pretty Peacock on a “scene” piece of Whale of a Time. Then I adhered the panel to a Granny Apple Green or Pretty Peacock mat and popped it onto the top of the box lid with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the whale in Night of Navy or Pretty Peacock, punched him with the bundled Whale Punch and popped him on with Dimensionals.
A few more Whale of a Time sequins on the lid finished it off!
Et Voila! This is a “wow” fun-fold for sure! And the bx is for sure sturdy enough that you could stick a little “green” inside or some candy. Or…both!
I love the Whale of a Time Suite – way more than I figured I would. The images and sentiments are cute (and SO fun to just keep stamping and stamping to make my own underwater scenery!) and the paper in Whale of a Time is wonderfully colorful and gorgeous!
I hope you like – and will try one of these fun box-cards for yourself!
And – maybe the Whale Done Bundle will be the one YOU choose when you sign up and join my Team during our amazing Pick a Free Bundle Starter Kit Promotion! 😉

Well – once my back decided that it could calm down a bit on Sunday, the weekend went pretty well for me – we had a fun Inkin’ Krew meeting yesterday on Zoom – and we even made some cards “together’! With our team spread out all over the country, it’s totally cool to be able to see everyone and laugh and craft together!! We have an awesome team – and more folks joining us all the time – especially with the amazing joining special we’ve got going right now!
My card today is not one of the ones we worked on in our meeting – but you’ll get to see those in the next few days. Today, I have a quick and super easy card for you to make with the beautiful Flowers For Every Season Memories & More card pack and…yes, again!…the Many Mates stamp set. Take a look-see:
I borrowed the layout for this one from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
I started with a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock that I embossed in the new Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder and matted on Bumble Bee for the card front.
I pulled two of the smaller cards from the Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Card Pack and cut them down a bit. Then I matted them on Bumble Bee card stock.
I adhered the first to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using Glue Dots, I adhered a length of Bumble Bee 1/4″ 2020-2022 In Color RIbbon.
On the second panel – the one with the frame – I stamped a sentiment from Many Mates in Pretty Peacock. Then I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added a Bumble Bee 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dot and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a second Many Mates sentiment in Pretty Peacock on a Whisper White Panel. Across the bottom of the panel, I adhered a Bumble Bee-matted strip of Flowers For Every Season DSP.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bumble Bee mat and into my Just Jade card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got one of the flower stickers from the Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Card Pack on the front…
…and more Flowers For Every Season DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I do so love this Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Card Pack – it’s so handy and makes quick and easy cards so…quick and easy. And beautiful!!
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
House guard….POST!
On full alert.
I shall not eat while at my post.
I shall alert my family if there is a deer. Or a mud dauber. Or a leaf.
I shall stay ever vigilant.
The first, the last – yes, the very final defense….
Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! Today’s a color challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table! I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
When I saw our colors I knew I was going to be making a sunflower – or two! – using the new Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and bundled Sunflowers Dies. And I also figured the World of Good DSP would have some goodness in it, too! The Many Mates set lent the perfect sentiment. Take a look-see:
Can you – possibly?!? – guess our colors?? 🙂
I pulled a layout idea from this week’s Sunday Stamps challenge!
I started with a piece of Bumble Bee paper from the wunnermus World of Good DSP pack, that I matted on Old Olive for the card front.
Using a Stitched Rectangle Die – and running it half way thru my die cutting machine then moving the die and going back thru the machine the other direction (to create a longer die cut) – I cut a rectangle of Old Olive. Then I stamped the piece of card stock with the two leaves images from Celebrate Sunflowers in Old Olive for a tone-on-tone look.
Finally – I embossed the panel in the new Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On another piece of the same Bumble Bee paper from the World of Good DSP set, I used my Stamparatus to stamp both sunflower images in Early Espresso. I cut the large flower with the die from the Sunflowers Dies – and fussy cut the small flower. There IS a die for the smaller flower – but I trimmed off the leaves so…fussy cutting was the way to go!
On Old Olive, I stamped two large leaves and one of the small double-leaf images in Old Olive – then cut them with their matching dies. I also cut the corresponding detailed leaves from Old Olive.
From Early Espresso – I cut the large detailed flower and two flower centers.
Using Liquid Glue just in the middle – I adhered the detailed flower to the large die cut. I also adhered the detailed leaves to their solid leaf die cuts.
On yet another piece of the World of Good DSP, I used my Stamparatus to stamp a Many Mates sentiment in Early Espresso. Then I cut it out with a Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered it to the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I laid everything out – and started assembling!
I cut a smallish Stiched Shapes square from Brass Foil, embossed it in the Old World 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I adhered the large leaves to the card front with Liquid Glue – then added the large flower with more Liquid Glue. I popped a flower center on this one with a Black Stampin’ Dimensional.
Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the small leaves to the back of the small flowers and the second flower center to the…center! 🤔
Then I used a Glue Dot to wind some gold trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack. I added a bow tied from a piece of 1/4″ Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon with another Glue Dot.
Finally – I added a couple of Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front – and a Glue Dot to the middle of the gingham bow – and adhered the small flower. Note: I left the covers on the dimensionals. I wanted their support – but did NOT want the flower to lay down that tightly. Make sense?
To finish off – I got a little jiggy with the color challenge and added a Cinnamon Cider 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dot to the sentiment – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the small flower a few times in Early Espresso on a Very Vanilla panel. And that was it!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Old Olive mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more Celebrate Sunflowers flowers on the front in Early Espresso…
And a little more World of Good DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This card has so many elements I love – the Celebrate Sunflowers, die cut with their matching Sunflowers Dies. World of Good DSP – with it’s old world look. A little Old World Paper 3D Embossing. And a collage! Score! Of course, Many Mates slides in with the perfect sentiment for this custom-order card! Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! Today’s a color challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table! I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
When I saw the colors for this week – I saw flowers. I know. Shocker. Mary used flowers! 😳😳😳 I pulled out the wunnermus Blossoms in Bloom stamp set and my Stamparatus and got after it! Take a look-see:
Yeah, I see it – I’m kind of on a roll with the stamp-an-image-cut-part-of-it-out-and-pop-it-back-in thing this week. 😉
I started with a panel of Whisper White that I placed in my Stamparatus. Then, I used the Stamparatus to stamp the big, bold blossoms from Blossoms in Bloom in Mango Melody.
I pulled the cardstock out of the Stamparatus and added some smaller flowers around the main image in stamped-off-once So Saffron. I also added some stamped-off-once Old Olive leaves here and there.
I added flower centers in So Saffron and some in Mango Melody.
Then, I used the larger label die in the Stitched So Sweetly die set to cut the center out of the panel.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the panel to a Mango Melody mat – and then to an Old Olive mat. I popped the die cut back in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere a length of Old Olive ribbon from the Ornate Floral Ribbon Combo Pack.
The sentiment, from Blossoms in Bloom, is stamped in Old Olive on Whisper White and cut with the narrowest Stitched Rectangle Die. Then I popped it on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used my Fine-Tip Glue Pen to add some clear gems from the new Flowers For Every Season Gems pack – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a whole cottage garden’s worth of flowers onto a Whisper White panel using the small flowers in the stamp set. Then, cuz I like it so much, I pulled out Many Mates and added that sweet sentiment in Old Olive.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mango Melody and Old Olive mat and into my Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Blossoms in Bloom flowers and leaves on the front…
…and on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! How gorgeous are these Blossoms in Bloom flowers? I love the different “gardens” that we can make with one stamp set! And – although I didn’t use it on this card – the bundled Many Layered Blossoms Die set is a showstopper!!
I hope you like….and have added this to your list. OR…maybe THIS will be the bundle you pick as your FREE BUNDLE when you join between 3 Jun and 30 Jun!? 😉

Good morning and happy Memorial Day! Hope you’ll have a great day with family and socially-distanced friends – with good food and fun. And a moment to remember the sacrifice behind the holiday!
Do you guys realize that we’re only NINE days away from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog going LIVE?!? Happy Dance Happy Dance!! Of course, that also means that we’re only EIGHT days from the end of the Retiring goodies – so….be sure to pick up your favorites before they’re gone for good!
Now – my card for today uses the Many Mates stamp set. Again. Sorry for the quick repeat, but…this card came to my brain and it needed this sentiment. This time, I paired it with some Misty Moonlight paper from the In Good Taste DSP. Take a look-see:
This one is super easy – letting the wonderful In Good Taste do all the work.
I started with a pretty Misty Moonlight and Gray Granite paper from the In Good Taste DSP that I matted on Bumble Bee for the card front.
The middle panel is a second pattern in the DSP pack – also matted on Bumble Bee.
I ran a length of new Bumble Bee 2020-2022 In Color 1/4″ Ribbon thru a slide from the Antiqued Corners & Slides (new in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog) then I wrapped it around the small panel and secured it in the back with Glue Dots.
I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Gray Granite, in Night of Navy, I stamped the Many Mates sentiment using my Stamparatus. Then I punched it out with the Tailored Tag Punch.
I added faux stitches with my Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker, then I popped the tag on with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I adhered one Bumble Bee dot from the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots and…the card front was done!
On the inside, on a Gray Granite panel, I stamped a second Many Mates sentiment in Night of Navy. Across the bottom is a Bumble Bee-matted strip of the In Good Taste DSP.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bumble Bee mat and then into my Misty Moonlight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the “Celebrate” sentiment from Many Mates stamped across the front in Night of Navy…
…and more of the pretty In Good Taste DSP on the envelope flap.
Et voila! Many Mates is so stinkin’ useful – with sentiments ranging from this birthday wish to Sympathy, Thanks, retirement and congratulations!!
Look how different this card looks from the last one I made with this set.
Th difference? The In Good Taste DSP!
I hope you like – and are counting down the days till you can get it all for yourself! Of course – there IS a way to get it all RIGHT NOW!! Yes – join the team now and you can select from these goodies to fill your Starter Kit! Check the deets down below!!
If you want to recreate this card – all the Stampin’ Up! products you need are listed down below along with the card cuts!

Somedays, when the weather is fine, Finny and I just sit on the porch at the barn.
Enjoying the birds. And the flowers.
The quiet of a garden is good for the soul.
Be it human or dog. 🙂
Finn sleeps. I read.
Not at all a bad way to spend a few minutes on a lovely Georgia spring morning! 🙂
Hey y’all – it’s Sunday, which means I’ve got another fun challenge for you from the Paper Players – it’s a sketch challenge from our lovely LeAnne this week and it’ll for sure jump-start your creative mojo! I hope you’ll come and play along. 🙂
If you were able to join me yesterday for my Facebook Live video, I appreciate you spending some of your weekend with me! If you weren’t able to watch the live version, but you’d like to see the replay on YouTube…here ’tis!
I pulled out the new Many Mates stamp set, with it’s bundled Many Medallions Die set (coming on 3 June!), plus a little of the new Forever Greenery DSP for this one! And – some new Brass Foil became the focal point. Take a look-see:
And here’s this week’s Paper Players theme challenge! Hope you’ll join the fun and show us your projects! I can’t wait to see what you create! 🙂
I started with a piece of Just Jade card stock – one of the wunnermus new 2020-2022 In Colors! – and embossed it in the new Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. Then I cut it to be the same size as the front of my Just Jade card base and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
Next up is a piece of Forever Greenery DSP, double matted on Pretty Peacock and Melon Mambo – and adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using the big, bold die in the Many Medallions Die Set, I cut a Brass Foil piece. Then I used my Paper Snips to trim the panel down to fit and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
I stamped the Many Mates sentiment in Melon Mambo on a strip of Whisper White, then used the new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch (new in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog) to cut each end.
I tied a simple bow from a length of 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim and adhered it with a Glue Dot. Then I popped the sentiment over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A couple of Just Jade dots from the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots pack finished off the card front!
On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Many Mates in Melon Mambo to a Whisper White panel. I added a Pretty Peacok-matted strip of Forever Greenery DSP across the bottom – and some of the trimmed Brass Foil die cut, as well. A single Just Jade Enamel dot finished it off.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pretty Peacock and a Melon Mambo mat and then into the Just Jade card base and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a few words from Many Mates in Melon Mambo on the front…
…and more of the Forever Greenery DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This Many Mates set is absolutely filled with fun and useful sentiments – and the bundled Many Medallions offers some great textural accents for your projects!
I hope you like – and are adding this one to your gotta-have-it list!
And I can help you get this stamp set – either now as a new demonstrator (yes, you can select pre-order goodies for your Starter Kit!!) or after 3 June (consider an Online Host Club!!) or my Sentiments Rule Special Bundle!

Wayne put a stick on the dog the other day.
Wait – that might have been me.
I put a stick on the dog the other day.
I think I said something like – hey Finny, wanna get this stick?
And he indicated he did not by just ignoring me completely.
So – I put the stick on him.
Figured he’d shake it off real quick.
I figured wrong.
I dunno – maybe he wants to be one of those wagon-pulling dogs?
Happy Saturday, y’all! And it’s the Saturday of a Three-Day Weekend to celebrate Memorial Day! As you go about your socially distanced activities this weekend, grilling and playing in the sun, I’d ask you to take a moment to say thank you to those who gave all so that we could enjoy the freedoms we love so much! Our freedom came at the ultimate cost for so many. Thank you!
Part of my weekend will be spent (I hope!) with you (virtually!) tonight at 7pm Eastern over on my Stamps-N-Lingers FB page. We’re going to play with a sentiment-centric bundle called Many Mates. With a few other goodies thrown in. Take a sneaky peek!
I think you’ll like this one so…hope to see you then.

I’ve had a few requests for an update on the progress of our garden.
So – Finny (my docent) and I, went out with the camera.
Our first stop is the Squash department! On the left – a baby Spaghetti Squash. On the right – some yellow squash that are doing great! We’ve had trouble in the past with blossom-end rot. But..so far so good this year! 🙂
My French Algarve pole beans are doing their thing – and we’ve got tons of little flowers (baby beans, do-do-do-do-doo). Underneath – my Buttercrunch that I started from seed (have to keep saying that cuz I can’t believe how good everything did this year!). I’ve also got sweet onions in that bed – that we started from root cuttings off onions I cooked with. Yes. I AM channeling Laura Ingalls… 😉
Moving into the tomato area…
The two big plants in the corners are the tomatillos – going great guns.
The two small plants are basil.
Except…they’re not. Somehow in the seed starting process, things went astray, awry and maybe even avast. They are most definitely tomatoes. I ASSUME they’re Argo paste tomatoes, but…I guess we’ll see!
I kept looking and waiting for them to look like basil – rubbing the leaves and sniffing….nope. NOT basil! LOL
The Sweethearts are doing well – they’re such a solid performer! This is a grape tomato and they’re sweet as sugar!
My Ancho Magnificos are really flourishing. Not as fast as Wayne thinks they should – he keeps worrying that our soil isn’t as good as it “was last year”. Cuz…we don’t have a thousand peppers by mid-May! 😉 But…we’ve got a bevy of flowers (aka baby peppers, do-do-do-do-dooo).
Finally, into Finn’s favorite part of the garden (cuz…he can reach these!).
We’ve got lavender… with some flowers around the edge…
And the blueberries and raspberries….
You DO have to keep a close eye on the fruit – those rascally squirrels are known berrytarians!
Last, but not least, Finn’s favorite – the Pink Peace!!
No more pictures of turnips, mustards and collards…we had two big harvests…
And some gorgeous radishes!
So – there you have it! The garden is doing its thing! 🙂
