For today – how about a card? I pulled out a few oceany stamp sets, the Waterfront and Whale Done sets, plus the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder for this one. Take a look-see:

I made a fun Congratulations card for you guys today using the Many Mates (yes – a most-awesome sentiment stamp set!), Whale Done and the Whale of a Time DSP. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.
I started with a piece of the wunnermus Whale of a Time DSP that I matted on Calypso Coral for the card front.
Next, I embossed a Whisper White panel in the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder, matted it on Calypso Coral, and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
The horizontal element is another piece of the Whale Done DSP, matted on Calypso Coral and adhered with Liquid Glue.
For the sentiment, I cut a third design of the DSP with the largest square Stitched Shapes Die. In the corner, in Calypso Coral ink, I added a Many Mates sentiment. Then I popped the square onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I fussy cut three turtles from one of the DSP designs and adhered the two smaller ones to the sentiment square with Liquid Glue (and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional to support some of the parts hanging over the edge…). The bottom turtle is popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals!
I used little dabs of Liquid Glue to adhere a few Whale of a Time Sequins and the card front was done!
On the inside, I added a second Many Mates sentiment in Calypso Coral to a Whisper White panel. Then I stamped the turtle from Whale Done across the bottom of the panel in Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point and Blackberry Bliss. I added some Pool Party bubbles. 🙂
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Calypso Coral mat and into my Pacific Point card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Whale Done turtles and bubbles across the front…
…and a little more of the Whale of a Time DSP on the envelope flap!
Et Voila! I love the gorgeous images in the Whale of a Time DSP, don’t you? And fussy cutting the turtles really turned out cute, I think.
Also handy that there’s that cute turtle image in the Whale Done stamp set – making it easy to carry the theme into the inside and onto the envelope! Many Mates lends the perfect sentiments to the whole thing! 🙂

Thankfully, Wayne does most of the hard stuff – with the help of the big tractor – complete with A/C and a radio!

Finn – in the meantime – is helping me supervise from the golf cart. Which has NEITHER A/C nor radio!

I saw a sweet “exploding” box-card that Brigitte Keiling had created with the adorable Zany Zebras stamp set and decided I needed to make one – or two! – of my own and share the how-to with y’all. I did mine with the wonderful Whale Done bundle and gorgeous Whale of a Time DSP. Take a look-see:
If you were able to join me yesterday for my YouTube live, I appreciate you spending some time with me – and you got to see exactly how to build these fun “box cards”. If not – take a gander at it here on YouTube. They’re really pretty easy – but…kinda hard see how to do it in still photos – moving pictures are worth a gazillion words! 😉
The box is super easy to make – I started with a 6″ x 12″ piece of card stock that I scored at 2″ and 4″ on the short side and at 2″, 4″, 6″, 8″ and 10″ on the long side.
I folded and lightly burnished the score lines, then I used my Stampin’ Trimmer to cut at the dotted lines as shown above.
I cut 16 pieces of the Whale of a Time DSP into 1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″ squares and adhered them to the outside of the box with Liquid Glue.
On the second box – the one in the video – I got a little jiggy with it – and changed up the DSP for the “top” of the folded box – so the recipient see a little “sea-scene” when they lift the lid! 🙂
It made me happy!
On the inside, I used some Brights (Pacific Point) or 2020-2022 In Color (Just Jade) 6″ x 6″ DSP for the squares.
On both boxes – I cut two pieces of Whisper White at 1 7/8″ x 5 5/8″. Then I stamped the Whale Done sentiments in Pacific Point for both boxes.
I added a variety of sea images from Whale Done – in Calypso Coral, Pretty Peacock, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Shaded Spruce and Blackberry Bliss.
I cut the Whisper White panels down to 1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″ and adhered them in order with Liquid Glue.
For the “extra” sentiments, I turned to my Many Mates set and stamped a few sentiments on Whisper White in Pretty Peacock, Calypso Coral and Granny Apple Green. I fussy cut the words and edged them in Pacific Point or Granny Apple Green – then adhered them to the panels with Liquid Glue.
Some Whale of a Time sequins, adhered here and there with dabs of Liquid Glue was all that remained for the card.
For the lid – I cut a 3 5/8″ x 5 5/8″ piece of card stock – in Pacific Point for the sample box and Granny Apple Green for the video box. I scored and folded them at 3/4″ from each end on the short and long sides.
Then I snipped “tabs” in the end and adhered the lid together with Stampin’ Seal +.
I adhered strips of Whale of a Time DSP around the edge of the lid. For the top, I stamped a second sentiment from Whale Done in Pretty Peacock on a “scene” piece of Whale of a Time. Then I adhered the panel to a Granny Apple Green or Pretty Peacock mat and popped it onto the top of the box lid with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the whale in Night of Navy or Pretty Peacock, punched him with the bundled Whale Punch and popped him on with Dimensionals.
A few more Whale of a Time sequins on the lid finished it off!
Et Voila! This is a “wow” fun-fold for sure! And the bx is for sure sturdy enough that you could stick a little “green” inside or some candy. Or…both!
I love the Whale of a Time Suite – way more than I figured I would. The images and sentiments are cute (and SO fun to just keep stamping and stamping to make my own underwater scenery!) and the paper in Whale of a Time is wonderfully colorful and gorgeous!

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop! Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Birthdays! We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
I’ve been wanting to play with the new Whale Done stamp set and the amazing Whale of a Time DSP since I saw it in the new catalog. So…I was really happy to see a birthday sentiment in it so I could use it today! And…I did – and even paired it with another GREAT stamp set – the Many Mates set. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from this week’s FabFriday sketch challenge.
I started with a piece of Pacific Point card stock. Using the coral image from Whale Done, I stamped all over the panel in Pacific Point ink. Then I used Pretty Peacock to stamp the fish-school image and the bubbles.
Once the panel was covered, I embossed it in the new Seabed 3D Embossing Folder. Y’all – this might be my fave folder yet! I mean…look at this beauty!!
Once I’d embossed the panel, I trimmed it to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and then adhered it to the front of my Pacific Point card base with Liquid Glue.
I cut two pieces of the STUNNING new Whale of a Time DSP…
On the fishes panel, I inked and stamped a sentiment from Many Mates in Versamark Ink. Then I sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heated it up with my Heat Tool.
I matted both panels on Bumble Bee cardstock.
I adhered the Calypso Coral panel with Liquid Glue, then popped the sentiment panel on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using little dabs of Liquid Glue, I adhered a bunch of little Whale of a Time Sequins – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the Whale Done sentiment in Pacific Point on a Whisper White panel. Across the bottom, I added some Pacific Point coral, Pretty Peacock fishes and stamped-off-once Pretty Peacock bubbles.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bumble Bee mat and into the Pacific Point card base and the card was done.
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more of the Whale Done undersea scene on the front…
…and more of the Calypso Coral Whale of a Time DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I am really loving this Whale Done stamp set – and it’s got a matching (and bundled!) punch!
And – I’ve said it before and will say it again…the Many Mates set is a real WORKHORSE of a sentiment set – and one you NEED in your stash!
