Good morning! Whew! OnStage 2021 was awesome! We got to see all sorts of new goodies coming in January in the new Jan – Jun 2021 Mini Catalog. They had the usual stamping demonstrations and…a fun “stamp off” between Stampin’ Up! Concept Artists – that they ran like those Baking competitions on TV! AND – they told us that next year’s event will be LIVE (vs virtual) and it’s going to be in Vienna, Austria! 😳😳😳
Vienna has been on my “list of places to go” since…I read Marguerite Henry’s The White Stallion of Lipizza a hundred years ago! And since I am now owned by Haflingers (of AUSTRIAN descent!)…seems like it’s time! Fingers, toes and eyes crossed – I would LOVE to be able to go there!
As always, we did some projects during the event – and we used the new Blessings of Home stamp set with the bundled Flowers of Home dies and the gorgeous Heart & Home DSP – all of which you’ll be able to get in January (or…on 1 Dec as a Demonstrator!). Take a look-see:

This is pretty close to the planned project – I changed it up a little and gave it a little “bump”!
I started by cutting a piece of Garden Green paper from the Heart & Home DSP and adhered it to the front of my Garden Green card base with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Shimmer White cardstock, I stamped the large floral image in the Blessings of Home stamp set in Misty Moonlight.

I used a Blender Pen to color the flowers and leaves by picking up color from the lid of my Misty Moonlight and Garden Green Stamp Pads. Like the sample in the event, I only colored the leaves and the two large flowers.
Then I used the matching die in the bundled Flowers of Home die set to cut it out.
For the “boom” factor, I used three foliage dies in Flowers of Home to cut several from Garden Green and a few from gold Metallic Specialty Paper (from the Gold & Rose Gold pack).

I did a dry fit and then used Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut foliage directly to the card front to that it would stick out ever-so-artistically from under the die cut flower.
So – the demonstrator/make-along was led by Shannon West from the home office. She taught us a good trick – especially when you have a lot of layers!
To pop the floral die cut – but…save a little thickness – she showed how to put dimensionals on the back of the die cut above and below where the sentiment would be placed. Like this!

Then you run a line of Stampin Seal down the middle. That pops the top and bottom up – but sticks the middle down! Great idea!
So…using the Dimensionals and Seal, I adhered the die cut over top of the adhered foliage.

I stamped the Blessings of Home sentiment in Misty Moonlight on a strip of Shimmery White cardstock.
I ran a little Stampin’ Seal across the die cut flowers and used it to adhere a length of new 3/8″ Denim Ribbon (part of this Suite and coming in January!). Then I popped the sentiment over the top with Dimensionals.
I adhered some white Classic Matte Dots (new catalog goody!) here and there. Then I used a Glue Dot to adhere a Bumble Bee Trinket on the flower (this wasn’t part of the sample, but…come on! It was NECESSARY!) – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the smaller floral from Blessings of Home in Misty Moonlight in the corner of a Shimmery White cardstock panel. I used the Blender Pen and ink from the lids of my Misty Moonlight and Garden Green ink pads to color the flower. I added a few more of the white Classic Matte Dots.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat and into the Garden Green card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the small Blessings of Home floral on the front…

…and more of the Heart & Home DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! I think this Blessings of Home stamp set and bundled Flowers of Home dies, with the gorgeous Heart & Home DSP is going to be a big winner in the new catalog! And…hint hint…there’s more in the Suite! And…I may or may not (I totally DID!) have hit the get-it-here-lickety-split button when I ordered it on Friday (another demonstrator-who-attended-OnStage perk!)…so…it should arrive on Monday! I’ll share as quick as I get it – I know you’ll love it!

I hope you like!

As I posted yesterday – I’ve got openings in my Host Club that starts on 1 Dec – so…if anyone wants a great way to add to their stampin’ stash – this is it (beaten only by Joining Stampin’ Up!). Here’s all the deets!
