Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day! 🙂  I don’t know how YOUR week has gone – but…ours has gone HOTTER than heck!  My goodness.  No one has any ooomph to do anything outside – least of all me!  Hoping it’s not been too awful where you are.  AND – hoping that our temps catch a clue soon!

My card today is a cool breath of snowy mountain air – courtesy of the gorgeous Feels Like Frost 6″ x 6″ Specialty DSP.  I added some sentiments from the new God’s Peace stamp set and also played with the Peaceful Boughs bundle – all of which will be available on 4 Sept.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from this week’s FUSION challenge – it’s pretty obvious I only used the sketch, not the inspiration photo! 🙂

I started with one of the stunning photo-realistic papers from the new Feels Like Frost 6″ x 6″ Specialty DSP and cut a triangular piece from the top.  Then I adhered the larger piece to a Seaside Spray mat with Liquid Glue. (UPDATE on 22 Aug:  I’ve had several inquiries about how I cut this triangle so…the panel itself is 3 7/8” wide.  I measured down each side 1 1/8” from the top.  The point is 2” down – right in the middle.  🙂 Hope that helps!)

On the smaller – top – piece, I stamped the sentiment from God’s Peace in Balmy Blue.  Then I matted it on another piece of Seaside Spray.

I wrapped a length of new Seaside Spray 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon (4 Sept 19) around the smaller panel – securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

From a piece of Vellum Card Stock, I cut two pine boughs using the new Beautiful Boughs Die.  I used new Shimmery Crystal Effects to coat one of the die cut boughs and let it dry.

When all dry – I adhered the two boughs to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Then I popped the sentiment panel over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used a short length of the Seaside Spray 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon to tie a “faux bow” around the ribbon (just tie it in a simple over-hand knot and trim the ends).  I also used a few Glue Dots to help the vellum pine boughs lay down on the card front.

I finished off with a few Pool Party jewels from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels (also coming on 4 Sept) – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used my Stamparatus to add the large sentiment from God’s Peace in Balmy Blue to a Whisper White panel.  Over that, in stamped-off-once Seaside Spray, I added a pine bough image from Peaceful Boughs – and some Petal Pink splatters – also from Peaceful Boughs.  Then I added a single Pool Party jewel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Seaside Spray mat and into my Petal Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Peaceful Boughs images on the front…

… and a little misty paper from the Feels Like Frost 6″ x 6″ Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love the God’s Peace stamp set – the sentiments are so perfect for the season!  And…How.  Gorgeous.  Is.  This.  Paper?!?  There are 4 of each beautiful design in the pack – for a total of 48 sheets.  Each sheet has a lovely photo image on one side, and a woodsy/geometric design in white and silver on the other.  And the Peaceful Boughs bundle.  Pine.  Cones.  Boughs.  Sentiments.  Done!  Questions??  I hope you like!

2019 Holiday Catalog Shares Are Open!
