Good Friday to you!
Literally!
If you were able to join me yesterday for my YouTube Live video – I appreciate you spending part of your day with me. If not – and you’d like to see how to make this fun fold, here’s the replay!
Happy Friday!! Hope it’s been a good week for you. We’re just doing the self-isolation/quarantine thing…how about you? Besides card making – what fun things are you doing to keep yourself busy (and sane!) as we head into the 765th weekend of The COVID-19 Crisis??
If you were able to join me for my YouTube video – I appreciate you spending some of your day with me! If not, but you’d like to see the replay…here ’tis!
As you can see from the photo above – this card is based on the wonderful Magnolia Lane Suite – the Good Morning Magnolia bundle (with the Magnolia Memories Die set) and gorgeous Magnolia Lane DSP! I created a fun-fold that looks a lot like an envelope so…that’s what I’m calling it! Take a look-see:
The layout – that I turned into a fun-fold! – was inspired by this week’s Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge.
I started with a 5 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock that I scored and folded at 2 5/8″ and again at 6 7/8″ for the card base.
On the smaller panel, I measured and marked the half-way point (2 3/4″) and used my Paper Trimmer to cut the point.
I used the same technique (measure half-way down the long side and cut to the point) to create the Petal Pink mat (2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″) and the Magnolia Lane DSP (2 3/8″ x 4 7/8″) panel. Note – this part of the card is at about the 7:35 mark in the video! 🙂
Then I adhered the pieces together and to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I adhered a different design of the DSP to a larger Petal Pink mat and then to the larger panel on the front.
For the sentiment, I inked the Good Morning Magnolia sentiment in Versamark Ink and stamped it on a piece of Basic Black card stock. I sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool. When it was cool, I cut it out with a Stitched So Sweetly label die.
Using the small flower die in the Magnolia Memories Die set – I cut a magnolia blossom from one of the designs in the Magnolia Lane DSP. I used the leaves dies to cut three Mossy Meadow leaves.
Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the flower to the sentiment label and the leaves to the underside of the label.
I used Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment to the point of the envelope fold – being sure to leave room for my ribbon to slide through to create my closure.
I added some Pearl Basic Jewels to the label – and the card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped the small flower from Good Morning Magnolia in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Whisper White panel. I colored the bloom with my Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Combo. Then I added a sentiment in Mossy Meadow.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and into my card base – and the card was done!
I slid a length of ribbon (either Petal Pink 5/16″ Organdy Striped Ribbon or the linen ribbon from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack – which is retiring and on sale!!) under the label and tied a bow to create the closure for the card.
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Good Morning Magnolia blossom on the front…
…and some more Magnolia Lane DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This is a super easy fold – once you know the dimensions for the pointy flap, right? I love how it lets you showcase some gorgeous DSP like the Retiring-soon Magnolia Lane paper (and – it’s got a GREAT price right now)! I hope you like!
And I’m SO happy that the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and coordinating Magnolia Memories Dies are carrying over!
Do remember, though – that the BUNDLE pricing (with its 10% Savings) WILL go away when this catalog ends. You’ll have to purchase the stamp set and dies separately in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog!
Just sayin’….

Some days? The quarantining is just…too much for a guy. The humans need too much attention. Too much love. Too much…everything.
And you have to go sit out in a clearing by yourself and watch the birds and bugs. And maybe a deer. A little Me time.
Just for a bit.

Well – here we are – it’s FRIDAY! And…the Friday before a three-day weekend! Whoo-hoo!
That said – if you’re in the way of that darned Dorian – I know you’re going to spend the long weekend battening down the hatches and preparing your home for his arrival! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you! 🙁
My card today is from the Magnolia Lane suite in the 2019 – 2020 Annual Catalog – an obvious favorite, right? I used the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack and the Designer Series Paper, along with the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and bundled Magnolia Memory Dies for this one. Take a look-see:
I got the inspiration for this one from the CASE The Designer challenge over at the Global Design Project this week.
And the layout is from the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge.
I started by matting a panel of the lovely Magnolia Lane DSP on a double-mat of Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink for the card front.
The circle sentiment is from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack – I just cut it out with a circle Stitched Shapes Die and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Then I used a few Glue Dots to adhere a short length of Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon near the bottom of the circle.
With the Magnolia Memory Dies, I cut a couple of flowers from the Magnolia Lane DSP (that’s right – one of the dies in the set totally cuts out a beautiful flower in one of the papers! How cool is that??). I also cut out two larger leaves and two smaller from Mossy Meadow.
I adhered the leaves with Liquid Glue – then added the flower on the right with Liquid Glue. The second flower is popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a double-loop bow from Linen Thread and added it with a Glue Dot. A small bow from the Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon, attached with a Glue Dot, was next.
I added a single Pearl Basic Jewel and the card front was done!
On the inside, I added a sentiment from Good Morning Magnolia in Mossy Meadow to a Whisper White panel. Then I added a super sweet sticker from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a double mat of Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink, then into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope for another Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack sticker on the front…
…and more of the Magnolia Lane DSP on the envelope flap!
Et Voila! How pretty is this soft and feminine birthday card, y’all!?? I LOVE that I can cut perfect flowers FROM the Magnolia Lane DSP, don’t you? And the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack is amaze-balls, for sure! Round it out with a sentiment from Good Morning Magnolia and…winner winner! I hope you like!

It’s getting pretty real, folks.
Mr. Reindeer is…nearing admittance to hospice, I’m afraid.
With – I’m askeered – a DNR order.
He recently underwent a Finn-induced evisceration.
Yes. Another one.
This one required a medically induced coma and several days in the ICU to get strong enough for the extensive surgery.
Finally – it was time.
Dr. Dad-Wayne mentioned that the next time – if Mr. Reindeer survives – we may need a skin graft.
But – he was able to cobble him back together – for now.
The Finn-Dad was SOOOOO happy!
Maybe too happy? No time in the recovery room for Mr. Reindeer.
No rest for the eviscerated!
He carried Mr. Reindeer out of the barn and then…
…gently set him down in the grass.
Turned out Finn had some “business” to attend to. Ahem.
But as soon as that was done – he was back!
Then it was time for the last walk of the night.
Are you guys coming?
WHHYY are you guys so SLOOOOW??!
He hurried thru the walk – on an obvious mission to get back to the house.
Only put Mr. Reindeer down when a PESKY FLY landed on his butt.
There are limits, people. Flies must be dealt with immediately!
But finally – FINALLY!!….
Back to the house…to begin taking apart Dr. Dad-Wayne’s handiwork! 🙁

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! Today’s Hop is a Sketch challenge (the first with the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog LIVE!) – so, I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop!
I decided to play with what is likely to be one of my favorite new goodies – the Magnolia Lane Suite! I used the new Magnolia Memory Dies and the matching Good Morning Magnolia stamp set. Plus…a little Memories & More…. take a look-see:
And here’s the sketch!
I started with a small card from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack and (after trimming it just a smidge!) – matted it on Petal Pink and adhered it to the front of a Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Card.
Next up, I folded a length of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon in half and stapled it at the fold – then adhered it to the card front with Glue Dots.
To make the Magnolia, I used the three petal dies from the Magnolia Memory Dies set – and cut two of the large petals and two of the small. With a Sponge Dauber – I sponged the centers in Petal Pink. Then I used my Bone Folder to give them some curl and adhered all the petals in a stack.
I cut a small center in Petal Pink and adhered that in the…well…center! Than I topped it with a medium sized Gold Faceted Gem.
I used the leaves dies in Magnolia Memory to cut several from Mossy Meadow and Soft Sea Foam. The ones you see that appear embossed were a happy accident. I tried to cut two layers at once – which sort of worked. The bottom layer, though, didn’t cut well – instead, it embossed. Since I liked how it looked – I used them! I sponged them all a little with Mossy Meadow ink.
I used Dimensionals to pop the flower onto the card front, then used Liquid Glue to tuck the leaves underneath.
I used a sentiment sticker from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack next to the flower – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the large flower image from Good Morning Magnolia in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a Whisper White panel. Then I used my Light Petal Pink and Color Lifter Stampin’ Blends to color the flower. Added a sentiment in Mossy Meadow, too.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and into the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Card and the card was done!
On the front of my Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Envelope, I stamped that Good Morning Magnolia image in Tuxedo Black…
…and I used some SNAIL to add one of the envelope liners that comes with the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Card and Envelop pack.
Et Voila! How completely wonderful is that flower – made with the Good Morning Magnolia bundle?!? Simply stunning – which is a word I think applies to this entire suite of products, don’t you? I hope you like!

Happy Sunday, y’all! Hope your weekend is going well! I’m doing normal Sunday stuff…laundry…card making…getting Mexican food for dinner (Cinco de Mayo, you know!). And hoping this is my last Sunday in Maryland!
Avengers was excellent. That’s all I’m going to say. Except… I hope Wayne wants to see it, too, so I can go a second time! 😉
If you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live video, I appreciate you spending part of your weekend with me! If not, but would like to see the replay, here it is on my YouTube channel!
One of the prettiest of the new suites (in a catalog chock-a-block full of pretty new suites!) is Magnolia Lane. And that’s where my eye landed for this card. I used the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack and the Large Specialty Memories & More Cards and Envelopes, plus the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and bundled Magnolia Memories Dies. Take a look-see:
The layout is from this week’s Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge.
I started with a piece of printed vellum from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack, and used my Stampin’ Blends in Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink to color the BACK of the vellum. That creates a stained glass look! Then I used Glue Dots – “hidden” under the colored portions – to adhere the panel to a Sahara Sand panel for the card front.
On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the large and gorgeous magnolia image from Good Morning Magnolia in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Then I used the Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink Blends again. I cut the flower with the matching die from the Magnolia Memory Die set.
I also cut a few leaves from Mossy Meadow. And – I used a die in the set to cut out a few of the small magnolia buds from the Magnolia Lane DSP – how cool is that?!?
I stamped the Good Morning Magnolia sentiment in Tuxedo Black on Whisper White and cut it with a Stitched Rectangle die. Finally – I used the edgelit in the Magnolia Memory Dies to cut two of the strips that you see in the background – these are actually the pieces LEFT OVER when you use the edeglit! These are cut from a piece of the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Cards and Envelopes – I had some leftover from a previous card. #SaveScraps 🙂
I built the collage with Liquid Glue – starting with the craft strips, then the large magnolia. Next is the two Mossy Meadow die cut leaves and one of the die cut DSP magnolias. Then I popped the sentiment on with Dimensionals.
I used some Glue Dots and adhered a few loops of Mossy Meadow Linen Thread (from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack). Then I added two Magnolia Lane Cork Embellishments and the final die cut DSP flower.
On the side, I added a Petal Pink sticker/strip from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack and a few loops of the Mossy Meadow Linen Thread. A few Pearl Basic Jewels finished off the card front.
On the inside, I added a second Good Morning Magnolia sentiment in Tuxedo Black and a Pearl to a large card from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Sahara Sand mat and into my Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Card, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
On the front of my Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Envelope, I stamped the large Good Morning Magnolia flower, a bud and some leaves in Tuxedo Black. Then I colored them with my Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends…
…and I used a little Liquid Glue to adhere the liner on the inside! Guys – these beautiful liners come WITH the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Cards and Envelopes! Bonus!
Et voila! The Magnolia Lane is one of the most stunning suites in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog! I love that the Magnolia Memory Dies will cut images from the Magnolia Lane DSP! As well as the more obvious stamped images from Good Morning Magnolia. I hope you like!
