Good morning good morning! Hope you’re having a great weekend! I actually ventured out of the house to do a little mowing yesterday – not a lot, just some of the spots where Addy was routinely getting her belly tickled on our walks. She’s not a fan of belly tickling – especially when she’s trying to do…the things one does on one’s walks! 😉 She’ll be a lot happier now!
Today’s card is a thumb-my-nose at the heat! I know it’s hard to even think of it – but…Christmas IS coming and it’ll be here before we know it! AND – we have some new Hot Foil goodies – like the gorgeous Twinkling Tidings Hot Foil Bundle and Starry Night Hot Foil Die – that I used on a Christmas card that I hope you’ll put on your list for this year. Take a look-see:
I heated up my Stampin’ Hot Foil System and, using some new COPPER Stampin’ Hot Foil (coming on 1 Sept!) – I foiled a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock using the new Starry Night Hot Foil Die (this is in the next Hot Foil Release available on 1 Sept).
When it was all cool, I embossed the panel in the Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the panel to the front of my Mossy Meadow card base.
Going back to the Hot Foil machine, I foiled the dark side of a piece of Mossy Meadow Two-tone cardstock in Copper – using the wonderful new Twinkling Tidings Hot Foil Die (also coming on 1 Sept).
When it cooled, I used the next-to-largest Everyday Arches die to cut it out.
With Black Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the arch to the card front.
I added a bunch of tiny Rhinestone Basic Jewels and…the card front was done!
On a 4” x 5 1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock stamp, I stamped a sentiment from the Frosted Pinecones stamp set (coming on 1 Sept in the new Sept-Dec 2026 Catalog) in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with Copper Metallics WOW Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool. In the corner, I stamped a tree image from the Twinkling Tidings stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink. I stamped a star image from the set in Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with the Copper Metallics WOW Embossing Powder. Then, I added a tiny Rhinestone to the middle of the star – cuz it was pretty!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Mossy Meadow card base and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Twinkling Tidings tree in Mossy Meadow on the front…
And…I stamped it again on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Wow – I know a bunch of you have been anxiously awaiting the Hot Foil products for Christmas and…you’re going to be VERY happy come 1 Sept! These two – the Twinkling Tidings bundle and Starry Night Hot Foil Dies (there’s a stamp set with this, too!) are just a couple of the goodies you’re going to find! I hope that you’ll be adding them – and more – PLUS the Frosted Pinecones bundle (this is in the Sept-Dec 2026 Catalog) – to your stash!
I hope you like! And – in case you’d like a peek at the new Hot Foil items…Check them out! Click the pic below! 🙂

2026 BACK TO SCHOOL SALES TAX HOLIDAYS!
Thirteen states – plus Puerto Rico! – will have Sales Tax Holidays for school supplies in July and August and some Stampin’ Up! items qualify for the tax break in those states! According to state statutes, “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes” are eligible. And – this includes select Stampin’ Up! products! BOOM!
The states with upcoming tax holidays are: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts**, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio**, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Puerto Rico. So, if you live in one of those states or Puerto Rico, take a second to download the sheet below and mark your calendar! NOTE: The table on the left shows the states, their dates, and the limit. The right-hand table shows the SU! Items that qualify! And yes – ALL the Stampin’ Dimensionals qualify!! 😎
**MA & OH Special Note: Unlike the other participating states, Massachusetts and Ohio are not limited to the products listed in this document. Additional current Stampin’ Up! products may qualify based on each state’s exemption rules and price limits. (MA limit: $2,500 per item; OH limit: $20 per item.)
How Exemption Limits Work: Sales tax will not be applied to qualifying items priced at or below the exemption limit specified for each state. There is no limit to the quantity of qualifying items that may be purchased, provided each individual item does not exceed the applicable state limit.
Please note: You have to place your order with Stampin’ Up! DURING the tax holiday period in your state in order to receive these items tax-free (so – that’s from MIDNIGHT local time on the first day to MIDNIGHT local time on the last day of the tax holiday). Also, keep in mind that this is a STATE SALES TAX holiday and the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.
For those wondering about Georgia, Louisiana, New Jersey and Wisconsin, those states will NOT have the sales tax holiday this year. Whaawaaaaa…. 🙁
If you’re in one of the thirteen states or Puerto Rico – happy tax-saving!

Finn Fan Fix
This picture really sort of embodies the difference between Finn and Addy.
He’s pretty chill. Taking it easy. Don’t mistake me – he can get up and roll FAST if he decides it’s necessary. But….until then. No need to expend energy for no reason – especially when it’s hot!
Addy, on the other hand, is all go, all the time. Ready at the drop of an acorn, the buzz of a fly or the snap of a twig to spring into action. No wasting time with that standing up nonsense.
They’re quite the team!
