Good morning, y’all It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
So – I was having such fun with the Mosaic Garden DSP and the Tile Garden stamp set – love those flowers! – that I used them again today. This time, I paired them with the Thinking of You bundle to make a pretty birthday card. Take a look-see:
And here’s the sketch we all worked with!
I started by adhering a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Mosaic Garden DSP – this has become a fave!! – to a Pretty Peacock mat for the card front.
Using the next-to-largest Perennial Postage die – I cut out a Basic White rectangle.
Using the stamps in the Tile Garden set, I stamped across the bottom of the die cut. I stamped Pretty Peacock leaves and stems and Hydrangea Hue and Crisp Cantaloupe flowers,
I placed the die cut in the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine and then positioned the detailed Thinking of You sentiment die in the center.
Once I ran it thru the cutter, I carefully picked up the die cut – making SURE to hang on to the negative pieces for the “o’s”.
I popped the die cut onto a 3 3/8″ x 4 5/8″ piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I adhered the negatives back in place – using a piece of Dimensional for the larger pieces and a dab of Liquid Glue for the one small eensy-weensy little piece!!
On a 3/8″ wide strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a Thinking of You sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink and then snipped banners in both ends.
I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Liquid Glue, added some Hydrangea Hue 2026-2028 In Color Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a Tile Garden sentiment in Pretty Peacock on a Basic White panel. In the corner I stamped a couple of leaf stems in Pretty Peacock and flowers in Crisp Cantaloupe and Hydrangea Hue.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Crisp Cantaloupe card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Tile Garden flowers on the front…
…and more of the Mosaic Tile DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Wow – this Mosaic Tile DSP AND its coordinating Tile Garden stamp set have REALLY grown on me! The colors in the DSP are wonderful and…you can make an entire garden with the stamp set. And don’t forget the sentiments! Of course – the amazingness of the bundled Tile Garden dies – not used here, but…true staples in the craftroom! The Thinking of You bundle is just two dies – but the sentiments that go along with make it so you can mix and match messages for days!
