Today’s card is a quick birthday card that sort of reminds me of…an ice cream shop! 🤷♀️ It’s got some black and white paper from the versatile Paper Medley Mix-In DSP! I added a few elements from the Round About Messages and I think it came together for a fun card! Take a look-see:

The layout was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started by adhering a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of the Paper Medley Mix-In DSP on a piece of Strawberry Slush cardstock for the card front.
Using the fourth-from-smallest Everyday Arches die, I cut out a Basic White arch.
Near the top of the arch, I stamped the birthday-themed sentiment from Round About Messages in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Inside it, I stamped the birthday cake image in Strawberry Slush ink.
I colored the cake with the Light Strawberry Slush, Light Daffodil Delight and Light Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends.
Then I adhered the arch to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I stamped a second Round About Messages sentiment in Blackberry Bliss on Basic White and cut it out with a Stylish Shapes banner die.
I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added three Lemon Lolly Array of Dots dots and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a third sentiment from Round About Messages in Blackberry Bliss on a Basic White panel. Around it, I stamped the music image a few times in Daffodil Delight.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Strawberry Slush mat and then into my Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Round About Messages music on the front…
..and more of the Paper Medley Mix-In DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! To be honest – both the Round About Messages stamp set AND the Paper Medley Mix-In DSP are sort of…fly overs! Easy to miss but…should NOT be missed! The stamp set covers birthdays, missing you and thanks and the paper is chocka-a-block full of color and patterns that you’re going to love for many of your projects! In fact, it’s so wide-ranging…you’re going to see it again on tomorrow’s project. But…you’re going to be surprised at how different it looks!
