Good morning and happy Monday! Hope your weekend was good and that you’re looking forward to a good week!
My card today is a quick and simple one – and perfect if you love to color! It uses the stamp set and dies from the Enduring Beauty bundle as the star – with some help from the Nested Essentials die set. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
And the colors are from this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge.
I started by using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score four lines in a Basic White panel to follow the lines in the sketch. Easy!
Then I matted the panel on Garden Green cardstock for the card front.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the large-and-lovely floral from Enduring Beauty in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Using Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green and Garden Green Watercolor Pencils, I colored the image. Then I cut it out with the coordinating die in the Enduring Beauty die set.
I popped the image onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using the leaf dies in the Enduring Beauty set, I cut out a few Granny Apple Green leaves and tucked them under the die cut floral – adhering them with Liquid Glue.
I stamped an Enduring Beauty sentiment in Garden Green on Basic White and cut it out with the smallest rectangle die in the Nested Essentials die.
Using Stampin’ Dimensionals on the right side – and Liquid Glue on the left, I adhered the sentiment to the card front.
I added a simple Lemon Lolly Baker’s Twine bow with a little dab of Liquid Glue.
I added some Adhesive-backed Shiny Sequins (an Online Exclusive coming on 5 March!) and the card front was done.
On the inside, I went old school and added a strip of Bee Mine DSP – matted on Garden Green cardstock – to the bottom of a Basic White panel. I added a few green Adhesive-backed Shiny Sequins.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Garden Green mat and into my Daffodil Delight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got part of the large Enduring Beauty image on the front…
…and more of the Bee Mine DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! The Enduring Beauty bundle is such a fun and beautiful bundle – with a stamp set, dies and layering masks…
…and it made for a gorgeous CAS card – even without using the masks at all! If you’d like to see a card that I made WITH the masks – check it out right here! And the Nested Essentials dies are SO perfectly named – they really ARE sort of ESSENTIAL! 🙂
I hope you like!

Such a pretty card Mary! Love the colors and those flowers are stunning!! Ginny loves carrots too…and she gets mad when we don’t share with her! 🙂
They KNOW when you’re eating their favorite food, that’s for sure! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
My son-in-law’s dog LOVES carrots. It is so funny to see him ask for one. He makes it VERY clear what he wants. A paw to my daughter’s leg, a ‘Wuff’ and run to the refrigerator. Amazing how well they communicate!
Lovely card, very spring-like.
Your coloring is superb! I like that better than the masks, but I’m not sure I could color as well, so maybe masks are the way to go for me. 🙂
I like this image either way – it’s just gorgoeus!! I hope you’ll try with the stamp AND the mask! I always get a kick when dogs love carrots – sounds like your dog-in-law is a veggie lover, too! Thanks, Julie! 🙂
Beautifully done! I love the simple way you did the stripes behind all the gorgeous detail of the flowers! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
Thanks much, Kim – appreciate you stopping by!! 🙂
Using scoring is such a clever take on the sketch! Beautiful card! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
Thanks very much, Karren – appreciate you! 🙂
