Stampin’ Up! Hearts Come Hometown Greetings for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a full roster playing with today’s sketch, so be sure to check ’em all out when you get done here!

And…here’s the sketch in question!

I decided to try out the super cool Hometown Greetings Edgelits and combined it with its bundled stamp set – Hearts Come Home.  Take a look-see:

Okay – I might have taken a little liberty with the placement of the sentiment! 😉

I started with two pieces of the Merry Music Specialty DSP and matted them both on Whisper White card stock.  Then I Fast Fuse’d the smaller square onto the bigger square for the card front.

Next up – a piece of Night of Navy card stock.  Across the top, I cut the stars image from Hometown Greetings Edgelits a few times.  I adhered a small rectangle of Silver Foil behind the panel with Liquid Glue – for shiny stars!

I matted that on another piece of Whisper White and then adhered it to the card front.

For my “town” – I cut two pieces of Whisper White with just two of the dies in the Hometown Greetings Edgelits.  The one in the back, with the church, is the same width as the Night of Navy panel. The front scene is the same width as the entire card base (4 1/4″).

I used a small piece of Painted Autumn DSP and adhered it behind the church windows.  Then I adhered the die-cut piece directly to the Night of Navy panel with Liquid Glue.

On the “front” piece, I adhered pieces of Night of Navy behind the windows – I wanted the town to look as if no one was home.  Everyone is at church!

See? 🙂

I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to position and stamp the Hearts Come Home sentiment in Night of Navy across the bottom of the panel and popped it over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a single silver star Metallic Enamel Shape and the card front was done.

On the inside, I used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig again and stamped a second Hearts Come Home sentiment in Night of Navy on a Whisper White panel.  Across the bottom, I added Night of Navy stars – also from Hearts Come Home.

I added another silver star Metallic Enamel Shape, Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Whisper White mat and into my Basic Black card base.  I popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Hearts Come Home stars in Night of Navy across the front…

…and I added some more of the Merry Music Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How wonderful is this bundle of Hearts Come Home stamp set and Hometown Greetings Edgelits?  It makes creating a snowy Christmas Eve a cinch, wouldn’t you say?  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Painted Harvest

Happy Hawwmp Day, everyone!  Hope your week is going well!  Mine is…going!  And it went in such a way that I had to eat a peanut butter pumpkin.  But I only had one.  And I was able to keep from eating any donuts.  Again.

Just sayin’.

My card today is the result of…”oh, you’ve got to be kidding me.  I didn’t bring Cherry Cobbler card stock?!?”.  I say that because I was half way done with the card and went to pull out said Cherry Cobbler card stock to cut my mats.  Why?  Cuz I was playing with the TGIF Challenge which is a color challenge using…Cherry Cobbler.  And, I’d already stamped my Seasonal Lantern sentiment and Painted Harvest flower using Cherry Cobbler.

So – I decided to substitute Cajun Craze (right after I put in an emergency, 2-day shipping order for Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry card stock.  Yea.  Forgot that, too).  But I decided that the stamping didn’t look bad – even with the disconnect between the two colors.  So I went for it! Take a look-see:

I was using the sketch challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch to help me with the layout.

And the color scheme is, as I mentioned, from the TGIF Color Challenge.

So – let’s all squint our eyes and pretend that the mats on this card are Cherry Cobbler.

I tried!

I started with a Crumb Cake panel and, using the fern-y leaf image in the Painted Harvest stamp set, stamped it all over in Crumb Cake ink for a tone-on-tone effect.  Then I laid a strip of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon across it – adhering it with a little Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Seasonal Lantern stamp set above the burlap ribbon, in Cherry Cobbler ink.

Next up, I stamped the larger Painted Harvest flower image in Crushed Curry on a piece of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped it three times, inking and rotating the image a little bit with each stamp.  Then I used the inside image and stamped it a couple of times in Cherry Cobbler – again rotating it between the stamps.  I used Crumb Cake and stamped the flower inside image twice.

Say it with me…rotating the stamp a bit each time! 🙂

Then I fussy cut the flower.

I adhered a Delicate White Doily to the side of the panel with Liquid Glue then used my Stampin’ Trimmer to cut off the excess.  Over that, I used a Foil Snowflake.

I smushed the vanilla side of the snowflake into my Versamark pad and then sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Then I heated it up!  I adhered it over the doily and trimmed its excess, too.

And here’s where I discovered the lack of Cherry Cobbler card stock.  So – I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Cajun Craze mat.  Then I wrapped a length of Jute Twine around it, securing it in the back with scotch tape.

I cut a pine bough in Crumb Cake, using the die in the Pretty Pines Thinlits.  Then I cut a second one from a piece of yellow Painted Autumn DSP.  Finally, using the die in the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits, I cut the leaf/berry shape.  These two pieces I smooshed lightly into my Crushed Curry ink pad to make them a little more curry-ish.

Then I build the collage with Liquid Glue.  For the flower, I put a few Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back and used them to wind some Linen Thread looks around – then I popped it over the other elements.

I used my Cajun Craze Stampin’ Write Marker to add some “seeds” to the middle of the flower and then tied a bow from Jute Twine and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  And that was it for the card front.

On the inside, I repeated the Painted Harvest flower in Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake in the corner of a Whisper White panel.  Then I added a few Crumb Cake leaves and Cajun Craze seeds.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Cajun Craze mat and into my Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Painted Harvest flower and leaves on the front…

…and I added a whole slew of Crumb Cake leaves on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I think it turned out okay.  I don’t even think the two colors actually clash all that much.  And, it’s hard to go wrong with Painted Harvest elements, don’t you think?  Hope you like! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Gourd Goodness and Pumpkin Leaves for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!

Good mornin’, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month is Giving Thanks!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I decided to go straight up Fall festival with my card, using the Gourd Goodness stamp set and…a few goodies from my October Paper Pumpkin!  Take a look-see:

I started with a piece of Painted Autumn DSP, that I Fast Fuse’d to a Cajun Craze mat for the card front.  I wrapped a long length of Linen Thread around the card front three times, securing it in the back with scotch tape.  Then I used a Glue Dot to pull the three strands together – right about under the bow on the card.

Next, I raided the leftover pieces of my October Paper Pumpkin kit and adhered two pretty Gold leaves to the card front.  Don’t have this kit?  You can cut some leaves from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits from Gold Foil and adhere them with some Liquid Glue. 🙂

Using the two-step pumpkin image in the Gourd Goodness stamp set – I stamped the first image in Peekaboo Peach on Very Vanilla.  Over the top, I stamped the second image in Pumpkin Pie.  The stems – also two-step – are stamped in Garden Green ink.  Then I fussy cut them.

I also cut a Cajun Craze pumpkin from the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits – and adhered it to another piece of Painted Autumn DSP with Liquid Glue.  Then I fussy cut that, too.

I built up my collage with the Patterned Pumpkin pumpkin adhered with Liquid Glue, popped the Gourd Goodness pumpkins on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then nestled a couple more leaves from the Paper Pumpkin kit in with Liquid Glue.  The final touch is a little Corrugated Elements heart!

My sentiment, from Gourd Goodness, is stamped in Cajun Craze on Very Vanilla and then punched with the Pretty Label Punch.  I used my Peekaboo Peach Stampin’ Write Marker to add faux stitches and then adhered it with Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I made a Linen Thread multi-loop bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Over the center, I stuck a small Gold Faceted Gem and the card front was done!

On the inside, I simply added another of the Paper Pumpkin gold leaves to a Very Vanilla panel.  I would love to be able to buy sheets of these beautiful leaves (hello, Stampin’ Up!?).

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Cajun Craze mat and into my Peekaboo Peach card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another gold leaf on the front…

…and another bit of Painted Autumn DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Fall-on-a card….the perfect ode to plenty and thankfulness!  All from the Gourd Goodness stamp set, a Patterned Pumpkin die cut and a little bit of Paper Pumpkin parts!  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Spooky Cat and Bubbly Brew for the Stamp Ink Paper #120

Mornin’, y’all!  I’ve got two projects to share with you today!  This one is for the Stamp Ink Paper challenge this week!  Come back in an hour or so and check out my card for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop!

This week’s Stamp Ink Paper challenge was a color challenge and I used the Spooky Cat stamp set and matching Cat Punch, plus some Spooky Night DSP.  Take a look-see:

Can you guess the colors?  Check out the badge for the Stamp Ink Paper #120 challenge.  Be sure to stop by the blog site to see what the other Design Team members have created and to play along, too!  Can’t wait to see what y’all create! 🙂

I sort of loosely borrowed my layout from the MFT Card Challenge:

I started with a fun design from the Spooky Night DSP and matted it on a piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock for the card front.  I cut a Foil Snowflake in half (-ish!) and adhered it with Liquid Glue – with the Very Vanilla side up.  Then I wrapped a length of Basic Black 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon around it, securing it in the back with scotch tape.

Next I cut a large Stitched Shapes Framelits die circle from Very Vanilla and a Lemon Lime Twist scalloped mat using the Circles Layering Framelits.

Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, I stamped the little three-beaker image from the Spooky Cat stamp set three times across the bottom of the Stitched Shapes circle.  Then I stamped the “liquid” and bubbles into each beaker.  I used Lemon Lime Twist, Pumpkin Pie and Peekaboo Peach inks.  Then I added the sentiment in Pumpkin Pie.

I adhered the sentiment circle to its mat with Liquid Glue and then adhered it to the card front with a little more Glue.

On a piece of scrap Very Vanilla card stock, I stamped the sentiment-filled cat image from Spooky Cat in Tuxedo Black ink and punched it out with the matching Cat Punch.  I used my Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker to edge the shape and then popped him on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

One large Black Rhinestone Jewel finished off the card front!

On the inside, I stamped the Spooky Cat witch’s hat in Tuxedo Black ink and colored the buckle with my Lemon Lime Twist Marker.  I also added another Black Rhinestone Jewel.  Who says you can’t have a jewel inside the card??!

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Lemon Lime Twist mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another Spooky Cat witch’s hat in Tuxedo Black and Lemon Lime Twist on the front…

…and a touch more of the Spooky Night DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  A mad scientist Halloween cat?!?  It could happen!  This Spooky Cat bundle – with the Cat Punch – is so cute and fun.  Nothing scary about it, really!  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Carols of Christmas Whimsy

Happy Monday, y’all – not even an oxymoron today!  I don’t have to work – so I hope I’m still asleep when this hits your inbox!  As I write it on Sunday night, I’m still pumped up from sharing this Christmas card with some of you on my Facebook Live video last night.  And – I think I’m getting used to the altitude, so…I’m not dragging as bad as I have been.  Whoo-hoo!! 🙂

If you were able to join me last night, I surely do appreciate you spending some of your weekend with me!  If not, here’s the link to the video on YouTube, in case you want to take a look.

I used several stamp sets for this one – the Carols of Christmas, a little of the Host-Exclusive Seasons of Whimsy set and one of my very favorites – Christmas Happiness.  All of these wonderful stamp sets are showcased on the pretty Merry Music Specialty DSP.  Take a look-see:

To begin, I stamped the pine bough from the Christmas Happiness set twice in Garden Green on the top of a piece of Merry Music Specialty DSP.  It was a coincidence that I used the music from Deck the Halls!

Or…was it?!? 😉

I also added some lights from Christmas Happiness – I stamped them in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored them with my new Stampin’ Blend markers (coming soon – but we don’t know when!!) in Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight (so – yes, you could use Stampin’ Write Markers, too!).

I heat embossed the sentiment, from Carols of Christmas, in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get it positioned where I wanted it.  Then, I cut two medium length pine boughs from Lemon Lime Twist card stock, using the dies in the Pretty Pines Thinlits, and adhered them over the stamped boughs with Liquid Glue.  At this point, I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Gold Foil mat.

For the Season of Whimsy ornaments, I stamped all three in Versamark on some Whisper White card stock, sprinkled them with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  Then I fussy cut them and colored them with my Pool Party and Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend Markers.

Using Glue Dots, I “strung” some Silver Mini-Sequin Trim in my pine boughs, then I adhered the two Pool Party ornaments with Liquid Glue and popped the third on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I tied a bow in Night of Navy 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  I also adhered the tails of the ribbon with Glue Dots – to keep them where I wanted them.  I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the top ornament and the card front was done!

On the inside, I heat embossed two more ornaments from Season of Whimsy in Silver on a Whisper White mat and colored them with my Pool Party and Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Gold Foil mat and into my Night of Navy card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Silver embossed Pool Party Season of Whimsy ornament on the front…

…And some strategically chosen Merry Music Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love the idea of stamping on sheet music and this pretty Merry Music Specialty DSP lets us do that so easily!  And what better to add than pine boughs and a lovely sentiment?  I think the Carols of Christmas and the Season of Whimsy images are so pretty nestled in the pines from Christmas Happiness!  Hope you like! 🙂

But – I did take this picture driving back to the hotel yesterday.  One advantage to working on a day when the whole rest of the base is off is…you can just stop in the middle of the road.  One – to let the guy there at center photo meander across the road to rejoin his buddies and two…to take their picture!  Genuine wild horses.  Up close and personal.

You can see they were mighty impressed with my presence…

Stampin’ Up! Touches of Texture Patterned Pumpkins

Well – it’s Friday.  But it’s really like Thursday since I have to work tomorrow.  But – we get Sunday and Monday off!  Whoo-Hoo!!  Thank you Chris Columbus! 🙂

Today’s card is a collage card – which I love to do.  But – it’s still got a lot of open space, so…it’s kind of a clean-and-collage-y card!  And it uses the so-pretty Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits with some help from the Touches of Texture stamp set.  Take a look-see:

As you might have noticed, my “photo booth” has changed up a bit.  We’ll see how this works!

I played along with four challenges on this one – the first, from Hand Stamped Sentiments, inspired the layout.

The Paper Players lent the Fall floral theme…

And…the color scheme from the Fab Friday challenge worked perfectly for the theme!

Finally – the Global Design Project was looking for Grateful-themed cards…

I started with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  Using the large splatter image in the Touches of Texture stamp set, I stamped it twice in Fresh Fig ink.  I didn’t re-ink between the stamps, either.  Then I matted the panel on Tranquil Tide and Cajun Craze card stock panels with Fast Fuse.

I added a couple of small flowers from Touches of Texture in Cajun Craze, just to add a little more “collage” to the card.

Next up, I punched a set of leaves in Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide with the new Leaf Punch, and cut a larger set of leaves in Tranquil Tide with the die in the Eclectic Layers Thinlits.  I creased all the leaves a little with my Bone Folder and adhered them with Liquid Glue to the card front.

To make the pumpkin, I cut the large open pumpkin from the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits a few times – twice in Cajun Craze and once in Copper Foil.  I adhered one of the Cajun Craze Pumpkins to a piece of Cajun Craze card stock and fussy cut the excess (to give me something to glue to).  Then I took the Copper Foil cut-out pieces and laid them in the Seaside TIEF and embossed them.  And then I used Liquid Glue to adhere them inside the pumpkin shape.  I did one more run thru of the Patterned Pumpkins die – just enough to yield a Tranquil Tide stem!

I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from All Things Thanks, is stamped in Fresh Fig on a Very Vanilla strip.  I cut banner ends with my Paper Snips, edged the banner with my Cajun Craze Stampin’ Write Marker and popped it on with Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final pieces are some Cajun Craze Enamel Shapes and a bow tied with a length of Jute Twine and one of 1/4″ Copper Trim. The Jute Twine piece is the result of separating the three strands that are twisted together to make the Twine.  I adhered the bow with a Glue Dot.

On the inside, I stamped the splatter image from Touches of Texture again in Fresh Fig on a Very Vanilla panel.  Then I adhered the Copper Foil Patterned Pumpkin over that, with the Cajun Craze cut out pieces in the middle.  I ran the die back thru to cut a Tranquil Tide stem and added it as well!

I Fast Fused the panel to a Tranquil Tide and Cajun Craze mat and into my Thick Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another Touches of Textures Fresh Fig splatter and a Cajun Craze pumpkin from the Patterned Pumpkins on the front…

…and a few more Fresh Fig splatters and Cajun Craze flowers from Touches of Texture on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Some Fall-colored florals from the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits, the new Leaf Punch and the Eclectic Layers.  Throw in some Touches of Texture and you’re all set.  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Little Christmas Quilt for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a full roster playing with today’s color challenge, so be sure to check ’em all out when you get done here!

This week’s colors were a bit of a challenge for me…

I looked around for some inspiration and stumbled on my stack of Quilted Christmas DSP.  All Real Red and Garden Green.  So…I pulled out the Christmas Quilt stamp set and Quilt Builder Framelits and…take a look-see:

I started with a Garden Green pattern and Fast Fuse’d it to a Lemon Lime Twist mat for the card front.

My sentiment, from Christmas Quilt, is stamped in Real Red on a piece of Whisper White.   I added a stamped tree image in Lemon Lime Twist, and then stamped the dotted tree outline image in Garden Green.  Then I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Lemon Lime Twist mat and ran the whole thing thru the Big Shot in the Quilt Top TIEF.  I used Fast Fuse to add it to the card front.

On a scrap of Whisper White, I stamped the tree image again, this time in Garden Green.  Then I added the second image over that in Lemon Lime Twist and cut it out with the matching die from the Quilt Builder Framelits.  Then I adhered it to the sentiment panel with Liquid Glue.  This framelits set also has a tiny little star die, so I used it to cut a star from Real Red paper in the Quilted Christmas DSP stack, and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

Finally, I adhered one of the Stitched Felt Embellishments with Liquid Glue and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added another tree from Christmas Quilt in Lemon Lime Twist with a Garden Green dotted border.  I stamped the image a second time, on a sticky note, and cut it out as a mask.  With the first tree covered, I added a second tree in Garden Green and Lemon Lime Twist.  A Real Red star tops them off.  Then I edged the whole panel with my Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Lemon Lime Twist mat and into my Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium envelope got a couple more Christmas Quilt trees on the front – complete with a Real Red star…

…and I added more of the Quilted Christmas DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This is such a cute little Suite of goodies – with lots of design possibilities.  Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Washi Striped Cheers to the Year

Happy Hawwmp Day, y’all!  It’s Wednesday and things are going well here in Utah!  The days are brisk and gorgeous.  Things are working pretty much how one might expect.  And…only 45 days to go!  Whoo-hoo!

So – my card today is so quick and so easy and so fun – that it’s sorta cray cray!  I just used some pretty metallic Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape and the Cheers to the Year stamp set to make a pretty mixed metals holiday season card.  Take a look-see:

The layout is from the sketch portion of the Fusion Challenge.

This one’ll go quick y’all, so buckle up!

I started with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and ran strips of the new Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape up from the bottom.  Then I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Champagne Foil mat.

Done!

I used some Liquid Glue to adhere a Foil Snowflake – Vanilla side up – to the card front.

For my sentiment, I heat embossed the striped circle image in Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Very Vanilla.  Then I added the sentiment – heat embossed in Gold – in the center, using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.  I punched it out with my 2″ Circle Punch.  Using the new Starburst Punch, I made a Champagne Foil mat and adhered the sentiment to it with Liquid Glue.

I put several Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the matted circle and used them to wind loops of Copper Metallic Thread around and around.  Then I popped it all onto the snowflake and that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I added some more of the Specialty Washi Tape on the bottom of a Very Vanilla panel.  Uhm….how easy is that??

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Champagne Foil mat and into my Thick Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a Copper heat embossed snowflake from the Cheers to the Year stamp set on the front…

…and more Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape on the envelope flap.  Just lay the strips down (start at the top) and then trim the excess with your Paper Snips!

Et Voila!  Pretty.  Easy.  Fun!  And – suitable for Christmas, Holiday Greetings, a wedding?  New Baby??

Gotta love this beautiful metallic Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape and the wonderful Cheers to the Year stamp set.  Hope you like!
