Happy Monday, y’all – and…Happy NEW CATALOG-EVE!! Whoo-hoo! Tomorrow is a BIG, AWESOME, AMAZING, VERY GOOD DAY!! As of tomorrow – no more Sneak Peeks for a while! Like…today’s card….
This is the LAST sneak peek you’re going to get of the new Scenic Coast Suite goodies! This time I used the DSP and the coordinating Sunset Coast bundle to make a pretty congratulations card! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge!
I did a quick video on how to make this card – which is posted on Instagram. If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!
I started with some watery looking paper from the Scenic Coast Specialty DSP that I matted on Night of Navy for the card front. A second piece – looking like a red-sky-at-night – matted on Night of Navy – makes up the middle panel.
From a 3 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock, I cut the Sunset Coast sail boat circle. Using Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the die cut to a 3″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Scenic Coast Specialty DSP. Note: I cut that panel so that the sun was visible in the “window”) aligning the die cut waves with the printed surface on the DSP.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut to the card front.
I used the die in the Sunset Coast set to cut out a net from some Crushed Curry Scenic Coast Specialty DSP. I crumpled it slightly and then used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the card front.
I cut out a starfish and shell from Crushed Curry cardstock and another starfish from Strawberry Slush Scenic Coast Specialty DSP.
I stamped a Sunset Coast sentiment in Night of Navy on a 3/8″ x 2 1/2″ strip of Strawberry Slush Scenic Coast Specialty DSP.
I adhered the sentiment with Liquid Glue – then tucked the starfish and shells around it with more Liquid Glue.
I added some Timid Tiger and Strawberry Slush Sunset Sparkle Sequins and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the small Sunset Coast water and sailboat images in Night of Navy in the corner of a Basic White panel. I inked half of the sun image in Daffodil Delight and stamped it on the water. I used a Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend to add a little triangle of “reflection” in the water.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Crushed Curry card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the water, sailboat and sun on the front…
…and more of the Scenic Coast Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love the contrast of the Strawberry Slush and Blueberry Bushel/Night of Navy and Crushed Curry in the Scenic Coast Specialty DSP, don’t you?! And the sheen from the foiling is…wonderful. There’s a lot of beautiful DSP in the new catalog but this one is….stunning! And the coordinating Scenic Coast bundle – the die cuts and sentiments – is the perfect complement!
I hope you like – and I KNOW you have these goodies at the TOP of your list for TOMORROW!
