Good morning and Happy Happy Hawwmp Day, y’all! AND – happy NEW YEAR’S EVE!! I don’t know about y’all but…other than listening to our neighbors do fireworks – and occasionally shoot a rifle up in the air (do NOT get me started on the absurdity of THAT practice!) – we barely notice the changing of the year. Would like to say that we USED to stay up and party and all that but…I’d hate to lie to you! We sleep right thru it. Unless I have to get up to go to the bathroom and that happens to coincide with the striking of midnight!! LOL
Yes. We’re boring ole fuds. It is what it is! 😉
A little while back, I got my December Watercolor in Bloom Paper Pumpkin kits in the mail. I’d seen a few photos of what was in the kit, so I made one up right away – and it didn’t disappoint! It’s gorgeous – in Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce, Secret Sea and more! I got nine beautiful thank you cards in a jiff! Take a look-see:

My card today is a spring-y little number – a little taste in the midst of the cold and rain and snow – from the new Jan-Apr 2026 Mini! Front and center is a sweet flower and sentiment from the new Sunshine & Tulips stamp set and it’s backed up by pretty, new Lovely & Beautiful Specialty DSP – all to make a sweet thank you card. Good morning and happy Monday! Well – the cold hit yesterday – with a windy blast of arctic air. So – the barn is all closed up – the plants in the garage – a heated water bucket hung on the outside gate so I don’t have to break ice in the trough in the morning. It’s going to be 19 – with a wind chill down to I-don’t-even-know. I can see all y’all northerners rolling yer eyes. 🙄 But – this is the SOUTH! So…that’s way too danged cold for this kid!
As I was looking at my list of thank-you’s that I need to send, I realized that this would be a good time to make a card that would easily make mulitples. I hit on the Thanking You stamp from the Annual Catalog and paired it with a tree from the Pine Tree Trimmings set. Add a double frame and…boom! Take a look-see:
Happy Fri-YAY!! I don’t know what y’all have planned but…I’ve got cookie-making on my list for today and the weekend! Got to get the mail-out cookies ready to go!! I’ve got a batch of biscotti done – three more to go (they’re really popular!) and two batches of Soft Molasses cookies (my personal faves!) ready to bake up today. Fingers crossed I get them done!!

In the course of making it – I ended up with a Nature’s Symphony die cut leaf – FROM the Nature’s Walk DSP. I said then that I was keeping that leaf to use in a future card and…today’s sketch challenge gave me the perfect opportunity! Good morning, y’all – happy Monday! By the time you read this I’ll be at the airport. Hopefully. Or…I’ll still be asleep cuz my flight was cancelled! As I type this on Sunday evening – my bags are pretty much packed and…I’m planning to get up at the crack-of-crazy to give it a shot to fly to Las Vegas for BackStage!! Fingers crossed!
