Happy Sunday, y’all! Hope you’re having a great weekend! We had a super nice visit with our friends yesterday – we hadn’t seen them for a while, so it was good to catch up! Sourdough pizza, homemade ice cream and lemon bars (they were my Mom’s fave) didn’t hurt either! So…a very good day!
I had this card all ready to go for you – it’s another sneak peek at the amazeballs new Moonlit Flora suite – coming on 5 May in the new May-Aug 2026 Catalog! You’re going to love the coordinating Fern & Flora bundle, too! And – I pulled out the perennial favorite…Perennial Postage dies, too! See what I did there? 😉 Take a look-see:
The Layout for this one was from the Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge this week.
I started by adhering a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Moonlit Flora DSP on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Secret Sea cardstock for the card front.
Using the second-from-largest Perennial Postage (online exclusive) die, I cut out two rectangles from two pieces of Moonlit Flora DSP. Note – this is the one that’s about 2 1/8″ x 3″ on the outside edge of the die. 🙂
I cut the Berry Burst die cut in half along the long side. Then I cut the second piece in half on the short side (at 1″) and then cut both of those pieces in half (at 1 3/8″).
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the pieces together to make two “units” – which made them a ton easier to adhere to the card front with Liquid Glue. Note: the two darker die cuts need to be no further apart that 3/8″ so that the ribbon layer will cover the gap!
I wrapped a length of new Peaceful Pine 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon (new on the 5th in the new catalog) around the “gap” – securing it in back with Mini Glue Dots.
I pulled out a 2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Cream colored Natural Hues Specialty Paper (this is the lightest one in the pack) and used the edge of my scissors to distress all the edges.
I added splatters to the panel with the brush end of the Dark Peaceful Pine and Dark Golden Glow Stampin’ Blends (get these on 5 May, too!) – striking the blends on an acrylic block.
I cut out a Mossy Meadow cardstock fern with the die in the new Fern & Flora die set – and snipped it into two pieces. I adhered the pieces to the Natural Hues panel with Liquid Glue – separating the pieces in the middle to make the fern appear a little “longer”.
I tied a double-loop Linen Thread bow – using THREE wraps versus FOUR wraps – and adhered it in the “gap” with a little Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Secret Sea cardstock, I stamped the Fern & Flora sentiment in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with white Basics WOW Embossing Powder. I heat set it with the Heat Tool.
When the powder was cool, I used the die in the Fern & Flora set to cut out the sentiment.
I used double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over the bow.
Finally, I added five Secret Sea Dewdrops Embellishments (part of the Suite and available on 5 May) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a Fern & Flora sentiment in Secret Sea ink on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock. Over it, I stamped the fern from Fern & Flora in stamped-off-once Mossy Meadow ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Berry Burst card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Fern & Flora fern in Mossy Meadow – stamped twice without re-inking – on the front…
…and more of the Moonlit Flora DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Oh man – I do love this new Moonlit Flora suite! The Moonlit Flora DSP is SOO stinkin’ pretty – dark and moody with pops of bright colors – just like a tropical rainforest! The coordinating Fern & Flora bundle is just chock-a-block full of amazing stamped AND die cut foliage – plus sentiments to cover all the bases! And – I hope you enjoyed seeing how to make the cool Perennial Postage die cuts STRETCH for any project!
I hope you like! And have already got this wonderful suite on your list for 5 May! 🙂
