Happy Monday, y’all! Hope you had an awesome weekend!
Today’s card is a look-see at the new Flowering Meadow bundle – with the coordinating Velvet Meadow Specialty DSP! It’s all coming on 5 May in the May – August 2026 Catalog and just wait till you get a look – and a FEEL! – of this stunning paper with its flocked designs and amazing colors! There’s a also a little peek at the new Scalloped Blooms dies! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.
I did a quick video on how to make this card – which is posted on Instagram. If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!
I started by adhering a 3 5/8″ x 5 1/4″ piece of that amazing new Velvet Meadow Specialty DSP on a Peaceful Pine mat for the card front.
Then I adhered a 2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Bubble Bath Velveteen Assortment Specialty Paper (part of the suite – available on 5 May!) to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I used the middle stitched die in the Scalloped Blooms die (some are stitched and some are smooth edged – ALL are beautiful!) to cut out a piece of white Velveteen Assortment Specialty Paper – which I adhered with Liquid Glue.
Using the die in the Flowering Meadow set, I cut out a two-flower image from the Velvet Meadow Specialty DSP. And I cut out three pretty leaves from Peaceful Pine Velveteen Assortment Specialty Paper.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a stem and two boughs from the Flowering Meadow set in Peaceful Pine – then I cut them out with the dies in the set.
I adhered the DSP flowers to the stamped stem with Liquid Glue – and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Then I tucked the leaves underneath – securing them with Liquid Glue.
I tied a small bow from white Baker’s Twine and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
On a 1/2″ x 1 3/4″ piece of Basic White, I stamped the Flowering Meadow sentiment in Berry Burst ink. I adhered it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added three white Dreamy Flowers (part of the suite and coming on 5 May!) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped another Flowering Meadow sentiment in Berry Burst on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped the Flowering Meadow stem in Peaceful Pine, the flowers in Bubble Bath, and the flower centers in Berry Burst!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Bubble Bath card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Flowering Meadow flowers on the front…
…and more of the Velvet Meadow Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Wow – with the cool texture and stunning colors – this Velvet Meadow Specialty DSP is truly spectacular! And the coordinating Flowering Meadow bundle will let you make a veritable…meadow!!…of flowers in all the colors of the rainbow! So beautiful!
I hope you like! And have already got this wonderful suite on your list for 5 May! 🙂
