Today’s card is one I wish I hadn’t needed. But – I did, so…I decided if I have to send a sympathy card – it needs to be pretty. I pulled out the Phrases & Frames bundle and two more of my faves – the Delicate Whispers bundle and the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder – and made one that filled the bill. Take a look-see:
For this one, I pulled some element ideas from the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge this week! I went across the bottome – any shape die – layers – embossing.
I started by scraping my Golden Glow ink pad on the embossing side of the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder – that added color to the flat portions of the folder.
I carefully placed my 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Golden Glow Two-tone Cardstock into the folder – with the dark side of the paper against the inked side of the folder.
After running the folder thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine – I used a craft sandblock to lightly take off the tops of the embossing – exposing the white core. Sneak Peek – we have a NEW Sanding Block coming soon – like.. in the Sept-Dec 2026 Catalog on 1 Sept!! 😎
Using the frame die in the Phrases & Frames die set – I cut out a Mossy Meadow frame. I left the cardstock in the frame die and ran it back thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Impressions Plate in place.
Using Liquid Glue just in the corners – and avoiding the portion of the frame where I intended to run ribbon – I adhered the frame to the card front.
I wrapped two lengths of Golden Glow 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon around the panel – “weaving” it thru the frame as shown – securing it in the back with Mini Glue Dots.
I cut out a Very Vanilla oval using a die in the Phrases & Frames die set – and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
Using another frame die in the set, I cut out a Pecan Pie frame. I left the cardstock in the frame die and ran it back thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Impressions Plate in place.
I stamped my Phrases & Frames sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and used that same frame die to cut it out.
Using Stampin’ Dimensionals – I adhered the frame and sentiment to the card front.
I used the dies in the Delicate Whispers die set to cut out two boughs from Golden Glow 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Paper and another bough from Mossy Meadow cardstock.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the boughs to the sentiment. Then I tied a bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
I added some Golden Glow 2026 – 2028 In Color Butterflies and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a second Phrases & Frames sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink on a Very Vanilla panel. In the corner, I stamped the grasses image from Delicate Whispers twice in Golden Glow ink – without re-inking between the stamps.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel inside my Golden Glow card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the grasses image from Delicate Whispers twice in Golden Glow ink – without re-inking – on the front…
…and I stamped it again on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Well – if you have to send such a card – the Phrases & Frames set has the sentiments – and the pretty frames! – to help you get the job done. Some foliage and stamped images from Delicate Whispers softens the card and further pulls out the pretty Sunflower 3D Embossing! 🙂

2026 BACK TO SCHOOL SALES TAX HOLIDAYS!
Thirteen states – plus Puerto Rico! – will have Sales Tax Holidays for school supplies in July and August and some Stampin’ Up! items qualify for the tax break in those states! According to state statutes, “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes” are eligible. And – this includes select Stampin’ Up! products! BOOM!
The states with upcoming tax holidays are: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts**, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio**, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Puerto Rico. **MA & OH Special Note: Unlike the other participating states, Massachusetts and Ohio are not limited to the products listed in this document. How Exemption Limits Work: Sales tax will not be applied to qualifying items priced at or below the exemption limit specified for each state. There is no limit to the quantity of qualifying items that may be purchased, provided each individual item does not exceed the applicable state limit.
