I’m going to try to downsize some of the many stamps, punches, embossing folders, Thinlits, Framelits, ribbons and even paper that I’ve got that are now retired! I don’t like posting projects I’ve made with products you can’t get anymore – just doesn’t seem fair or fittin’ – so, when SU! puts a product out to pasture….I try not to use it anymore! Which means I’ve got a lot of fun things that need to go down the road – to make way for the ridiculous number of new goodies I fully intend to have coming in!! In fact – some of those new pretties will be here this afternoon… 😉
Some things are harder to part with than others – let me tell you! Envelope Liner Framelits. 2 1/2″ Punch. Sigh…

Good morning, y’all! How’s your week going? I got some more veggies planted – before the rain came in! And – I named the goose.
Oh – might not have mentioned the goose? Apparently, we’ve been adopted and granted the privilege of being the new home for a domestic goose. He (she?) just showed up last Friday. Might have come from the flock next door. No clue. He’s kinda pretty. And he looks real nice tooling around the pond.
Did you know they swim with their little web legs out behind them? I always figured – you know, all those times I considered how geese might swim – that they would have their legs under them. But they don’t! His little orange legs just stick right out behind him! It’s kind of cool.
So – since he seems to be planning to stick around for a minute – he sort of likes the scoop of cracked corn he gets every evening (yes, we’re suckers/saps/soft-touches/marshamallows)….I figured I’d name him.
Duck Duck.
As in Duck Duck….Goose!

Anywho – Duck Duck helped inspire me for today’s card. I pulled out the Wetlands stamp set – which features a goose – and added a little swath from the Over the Rainbow set. Since it’s a Father’s Day card – I grabbed a sentiment from Guy Greetings. Just made sense. Take a look-see:

Happy Monday, y’all! I hope you’re all ready to go back to work! I’m thinkin’ I may take a day or two off. Maybe three. Just to make a few cards, perhaps do some organizing and cleaning up around the house. Tend my garden – which, OBTW, is growing great guns!! I need to plant some seeds and get them started. I’ll take a picture for you for tomorrow.
So, yesterday I pulled out all my retired punches and TIEFs and Framelits and Thinlits and ribbons and all the etc’s. I stuck them in a box with the retired stamps and punches I already had in there. In a few days, I’m going to post my Retired SU! products page – so, stay tuned and get some good deals, huh? 😉

Home again! Yeah!! Feels good to be back in the fold. The horses were glad to see me – well, they acted like they were glad…coulda just been the prospect of peppermints! 🙂 And I had a lap full of cat last night – which is pretty much about as good as it gets!!

The focal point for my card today is the very pretty floral paper in the Affectionately Yours DSP. I used the paper and I replicated the flowers with the Love and Affection stamp set. With the addition of a sentiment from the Watercolor Wishes stamp set – available exclusively when you purchase the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit – I ended up with a cheerful summery any occasion card. Good morning, y’all! I’m kind of hoping that when you read this, I’m still half-asleep in bed. And that all my stuff is in the car. But – it’s also kind of likely that all my stuff is still piled up in my room. And that I’m schlepping it down to the car. Also possible that I was anxious to get home and so I woke up too early and got on the road before it was light. Or close to being light. We won’t know until tomorrow. It’s a mystery.
But I hope I’m still in my bed! 🙂

Finally. It’s Friday. I’ve done my last wake up to an alarm clock for a bit! Driving home tomorrow – all the stuff is packed up – just needs to get in the car! We’re going to have one last dinner at the Olde Pink House tonight and then tomorrow….I’m off!
