Stampin’ Up! Pop of Pink Layering Love for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Mornin’, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Happy Stampers Blog Hop. This is the first hop in the new 2016-2017 Annual Catalog and I’m bettin’ you see some super fun projects from all the ladies! I hope you have your catalog and are making your wish list! 🙂

We all worked with what is one of my favorite color combinations – black, white and pink. Pink in the form of Melon Mambo!

For my card, I used the Swirly Scribbles Framelits and a little of the matching Swirly Bird stamp set, and the star of the show is a sentiment from Layering Love – displayed in a couple of hearts from the new Sweet & Sassy Framelits set. Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Moroccan Botanicals Thank You

Good Morning on this Memorial Day Monday! I wanted to take a hot second before getting to today’s card to share a Thank You that I made in honor of this day.

As the song says – All Gave Some and Some Gave All. This day we remember those who gave all in defense of our freedom and the way of life we enjoy here in this great country! Say a prayer for them today – and for those still with us who are serving still, that they may not join the ranks of those who gave all. 🙂

Now – the card I made today is another Thank You – but one that goes a whole different direction! I used the new – on Wednesday! – Moroccan Nights stamp set and the pretty Botanical Builder Framelits. Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Blooming Love Cottage Greetings Thanks

The card I made today features the beautiful rose image in Bloomin’ Love – a stamp set that was introduced to us in the 2016 Occasions Catalog and that’ll also be with us for the new 2016-2017 Annual Catalog! The sentiment comes from the Cottage Greetings set – which has some of the prettiest fonts going! Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Sheltering Tree for a Simple Single Stamp Set Saturday

Good Saturday morning, y’all! I hope you’re enjoying your Memorial Day long-weekend – if you’re traveling, be safe! And take a few minutes this weekend to remember the reason we celebrate, okay?

My card today is a quick and easy one, and you only need one stamp set to make it! The fun and versatile Sheltering Tree – from the current catalog – is all that’s needed to make this one. Take a look-see:

I started by stamping the Sheltering Tree tree image in Crumb Cake in the center of the Whisper White card stock panel. For the leaves, I used Watermelon Wonder – which I stamped off once before putting it on the card. My Watermelon Wonder is really juicy – so depending on how your pad is, you might want to stamp it straight – it’s up to you! The second layer of leaves is done in Daffodil Delight – not stamped off first, just straight! Continue reading →

Stampin’ Up! Awesomely Artistic Layered Love Easel

Happy Friday! And happy it truly is – cuz I’m at the hotel, jus’ sleepin’ in ma bed! At least I hope I am – or at least laying in it doing a bunch of nothing! This has been a….loooooonnnggg week, y’all – and I’m flat tuckered. This long weekend has been the beacon of hope – the light at the end of the first part of the tunnel. Four beautiful days off. Oh. My. Goodness. 😉

This card for today is another easel card. I apologize for the quick duplication – but…my friend here asked me for a card (short notice!) for his wife. He/they are moving across the country and she’s leaving her teaching job in CA. He wanted a card to give her. When I ask him what he wanted to say…he kind of looked blank. After some prompting, he wants to tell her that he loves her and that he’s grateful for all she does.

Awwww. That’s totally sweet – even if he needed a little “help” to get there! Yea – he vacuums and cleans the house, too – he’s one of the good guys! So, I really wanted it to be special for him and be a bit of a “wow” card – so the easel card made sense to me. And since it’s so easy…well. It was a no-brainer.

I also had the perfect sentiment in mind – from the new (it’s almost here, folks! Wednesday!!) stamp set called Layered Love. And One Big Meaning also has a great sentiment. I pulled Awesomely Artistic for the beautiful images. Take a look-see:

So – the easel is just a secondary piece of the card! The Awesomely Artistic flowers definitely take front and center. Continue reading →

We all worked on a sketch this week…

Now – this one should have given me an “aha” moment. But my brain was blocked. Don’t know why, exactly, but it was. So I ended up making a card from an idea that I finally forced myself to have.

And I hated the card. It really wasn’t awful, but…I just really didn’t like it at all! My time was pretty limited though, so…I thought “what the heck” I’ll just use it anyway. Here it is:

Stampin’ Up! Painter’s Palette Fun-Fold Card!

Happy Hawwwmp Day! The week is half over. Or…considering that I have Friday off – it’s Over-The-Hawwmp Day! And I have the weekend off. And Monday! So…I am totally psyched to have 4 entire days – in a ROW! – to rest and sleep and make cards and maybe….join 3 million of my closest friends to eat at The Olde Pink House again…. and – did I mention sleeping? 😉

Today’s card is really fun. And so ridiculously easy that if you haven’t ever made one – the second that you see the “trick” you’ll be all “why the heck didn’t I do that sooner??” I used a couple of stamp sets on this one….Painter’s Palette (new on 1 June), Suite Sayings, and Watercolor Words.
