I pulled out a new-to-me bundle, called Flowering Rainboots for today’s card! And I played with the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks (they are SO fun!). I made a card that would be great to send to a friend going thru a storm of some sort in their life! Take a look-see:
Well – here we are on Sunday – I’m looking out the window at…not snow. Not ice. Not…nuthin’. Heck – it’s not even all that cold. Guess the brine all over the road yesterday when we went out – no, we really DID need food, we were NOT “prepping”. No toilet paper came home with us. Okay – a LOT of milk came home but…it’s for our yoghurt, okay?!?
Anyway – as I was saying before you gave me the “really, Mary – PREPPING for the storm like eveyr other snowpocalypsaggedon fearmonger in Atlanta” look – guess that brine was a Just In Case thing! 😉

Have I even mentioned that I really love background stamps? I buy them all. I don’t seem to use them as often as my love for them would lead you to think I would, do I? Hmm – I dunno why. But I DO love them – they’re like punches for me. Just going to have them ALL!

I realized that my sympathy card supply was really low (like…totally depleted!) so I reached for my go-to sentiment set for such things – Peaceful Moments. Obviously this great set has other wonderful sentiments but – that’s the one I seem to pull it out for the most. Love. Love. Hmmm. What to use? Well…I had a new set on my shelf that hadn’t been inked – and I’d been waiting for the right moment to pull it out. It’s called…More Love. Huh! Perfect! I ended up pairing it with some Artfully Composed DSP, AND new Vellum Layering Designs paper, and a few little odds and ends from the Sweet Conversations stamp set. Take a look-see:

For today’s card, I pulled out the Special Moments stamp set (this is a FREE set – more on that later) and the Crane of Fortune bundle – with its pretty (and handy!) Good Fortune dies – and then added the coordinating Symbols of Fortune Specialty DSP. And – I did a little die cutting from the new and pretty Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper, too. Take a look-see:

For those of you who are tracking such things – if you ordered a paper share…they’re headed to the Post Office this morning! So…be watching for them early next week. 🙂
One of the downsides to cutting all the pretty papers is that my brain wanders and “makes cards” while I’m cutting. And I want to drop everything and go MAKE the cards that I see in my head using all that gorgeous paper! Fortunately, when I got to my table last night, I remembered one of my brain-cards!
