Happy Half-way-thru-the-weekend, y’all! Hope you’re out enjoying some Spring weather!
The other day I got a pretty thank you card from Tracy O’Connell in the mail and I really liked the fun fold – not sure what it’s called so…I’ve named it the collapsing diamond fold. I decorated mine with some pretty floral papers from the Homemade Sweetness DSP and sentiments and foliage from the Help Me Grow bundle! Take a look-see:
The card base is where the magic starts – it’s a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Strawberry Slush cardstock, scored at 3/4″, 2 3/4″, 4 3/4″, 5 1/2″, 6 1/4″, 8 1/4″ and 10 1/4″.
I folded the score lines – starting with a mountain at the 3/4″ mark and then alternating valley-mountain-valley – etc for the rest of the folds.
Using Liquid Glue in the “v” – I adhered the front to the back – sort of like a book fold.
Then I used Liquid Glue on the two end panels (the 3/4″ wide panels) and adhered them together to create the collapsing diamond.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered a 1 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ pieces of the flower-dy Homemade Sweetness DSP to the two larger panels on the front side of the card.
On the back side, I adhered a piece of plaid Homemade Sweetness DSP to the left panel. For the right side, I stamped a Help Me Grow sentiment in Garden Green on a 1 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock. In two corners, I stamped a Help Me Grow floral in Pretty in Pink ink. Then I adhered the panel to the card base with Liquid Glue.
I adhered four 5/8″ x 4 1/8″ pieces of Homemade Sweetness DSP to the four narrow panels of the card base.
Using the largest Stylish Shapes circle die, I cut out a piece of Early Espresso Wood Grain Wonders DSP.
With the Help Me Grow dies, I cut out:
– One pot from Pecan Pie Wood Grain Wonders DSP
– One leaf from Garden Green Cardstock
– One lacy leaf from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
– One lacy leaf from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
– Six flowers from Pretty in Pink Cardstock – get these by running the die thru twice!
– Three leafy bundles from Soft Sea Foam cardstock – then adhering the little center pieces with Liquid Glue
– A garden marker from Basic Beige Wood Grain Wonders DSP
I stuck the large leaves thru the slit that gets die cut into the pot when you cut it out. I stamped the die cut garden marker with a Help Me Grow sentiment in Garden Green and stuck it into the pot as well.
Then I adhered the whole thing to the Early Espresso Stylish Shapes circle with Liquid Glue. I used Liquid Glue to adhere the Pretty in Pink flowers. Finally, I added the center Soft Sea Foam bunch with a Stampin’ Dimensional and the remaining bunches with Liquid Glue.
I tied a little Linen Thread bow and tucked it in with a Glue Dot.
On a 5/8″ x 3″ piece of Basic Beige Wood Grain Wonders DSP, I stamped a Help Me Grow sentiment in Garden Green and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To adhere the circle to the card base, I scored two 1″ x 1 1/4″ pieces of Pecan Pie cardstock in half on the long side and used Liquid Glue to adhere them to either side of the card front.
Then I put Liquid Glue on the exposed panels…
…and used that to adhere the die cut circle.
I added five Tiny Bee Trinkets with Glue Dots and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Help Me Grow floral on the front…
…and more of the Homemade Sweetness DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This is like a book fold and an easel all sort of wrapped up into one card! I love it! The Help Me Grow bundle is a perfect choice to match up with the floral papers from the Homemade Sweetness DSP (on backorder right now but expected back around the end of this month). I love all the die cut foliage, don’t you!?

Finn Fan Fix 
We saw some dog toys at Sam’s the other day.
We threw one of the multipacks into the cart.
Then Wayne saw a big bunny! With crackly ears.
So – into the cart IT went, too.
He liked it enough to bring it to me so I could see how fun it is!
We gave Addy a little stuffed donut but…she’s not really a toy-dog.
Which suits Finn just fine. More for him!! No such thing as too many toys, he always says!
