Stampin’ Up! Country Club Beautiful Moments Thinking of You!

Good morning, y’all!  Hope you’re enjoying your social-distancing-“vacation”!  We’re truly trying our best to stay close to home with only “emergency” trips to get gardening supplies.  So we can plant our Victory Garden!  🙂

Mostly.  😉

I made a simple (for me!) card for you today featuring the Beautiful Moments stamp set atop some Country Club DSP.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from this week’s Fab Friday sketch challenge.

And the color scheme hails from the Color Throwdown Challenge.

I started with a plaid from the Country Club DSP that I matted on Basic Black for the card front.

Next up is a square of Basic Black, embossed in the Stone 3D Embossing Folder (which is FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a $100 order!).  I adhered the square with Liquid Glue to the card front.

To create the art panel, I stamped the sweet image from Beautiful Moments in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Whisper White.  At the same time, I stamped the image on a piece of Granny Apple Green paper from the Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP and again on some Garden Green paper from the Regals DSP.

I cut the Whisper White image with the largest square Stitched Shapes die and stamped the bird image in Tuxedo Black.  Then I popped it onto the card front with Liquid Glue.

From the other two images – I fussy cut the older girl’s dress from the Garden Green image and adhered it with Liquid Glue.  The younger child’s dress I cut from the Granny Apple Green image.

I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green on Whisper White.  Then, using a Stitched Rectangle Die, I cut it out – running thru twice and shifting the die on the second pass to create a smaller piece.

With a piece of Garden Green twine from the Country Club Twine Combo pack, I created a loose figure eight bow under the art panel, using Glue Dots to adhere it…

Then I placed two Stampin’ Dimensionals (cut in half) onto the card front…

…and used them to adhere the sentiment to the card front.

I added a light green gem from the Noble Peacock Rhinestone Pack – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used Tuxedo Black to stamp the “dune” image, grasses, birds and butterflies from the Beautiful Moments set on a Whisper White panel.  Then I used my Garden Green and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Markers to color the grasses.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Garden Green card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a little more Tuxedo Black “beach” on the front…

…and a little more of the Country Club DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This Beautiful Moments stamp set is so pretty – and is just perfect if you enjoy Paper Piecing (like I do!!). Even without the Paper Piecing, it’s perfect for coloring with Markers, Stampin’ Blends, Watercolor Pencils….whatever your prefered medium!

Finn Fan Fix


We gardened all weekend.

Meaning – we made dirt.  Yes – “made” dirt.

We Square Foot Garden and make the planting medium from Coarse Vermiculite, Blended Compost and Peat Moss.

It’s a bit of a pain – but…the resulting “dirt” is…wonderful!!

The first year we did it – we poured all the ingredients onto a huge tarp and stirred it with shovels.

And stirred.  Aaaaand stirred.

We’ve gotten….smarter.

Yep – engine-powered cement mixer!

Pour the goodies in….mix.

And out comes….black (ish) gold!

We filled…okay – I lost count! – barn carts with our black-ish gold.

…and then into our beds!

Ahhh – the wonderful sight of garden beds waiting for their plants to arrive!!  Soon, my sweets.  SOON!

Now.  Where was Finn this whole time?

That gardening stuff is simply exhausting!

Stampin’ Up! Label Me Bold Ornate Style Video Tutorial for The Paper Players

Hey y’all – it’s Sunday, which means I’ve got another fun challenge for you from the Paper Players – it’s a Clean-and-Simple Challenge from Joanne this week to help jump-start your creative mojo!  I hope you’ll come and play along.  🙂

I pulled out the fun and simple (to me!) Label Me Bold stamp set from the 2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog and used its sentiments to work with the image-only Ornate Style stamp set.  Which YOU will be able to get on 1 Apr!  Take a look-see:

I know, I know – I keep using that new daisy image.  I can’t help it very much – I just love it!! And so will you when you get your hands on it! 😉

And here’s this week’s Paper Players CAS challenge!  Join the fun and show us your projects!  I can’t wait to see what you create!  🙂

And the layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock that I embossed in the Basket Weave 3D Embossing Folder and matted on Granny Apple Green cardstock to make the card front.

To make the little strip element of the sketch, I used some SNAIL to adhere a length of Granny Apple Green 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon.

The DSP strip is a piece of Daffodil Delight Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP, also matted on Granny Apple Green and adhered with Liquid Glue.

The art is the fantastic Ornate Style daisy, stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, on Whisper White and cut out with a rectangle Stitched So Sweetly die – how MUCH do you love this die set?!?

I used watercolor pencils from the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2, in Granny Apple Green for the leaves.  Then the flower itself is colored in Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral (Assortment 1) with a little Crushed Curry (Assortment 2) in the middle.

Then I used Liquid Glue on the bottom half and Dimensionals on the top half to adhere it to the card front.

On a small piece of Whisper White, I stamped the Label Me Bold sentiment in Granny Apple Green and gave it a quick fussy cut.  Then I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A Granny Apple Green Glitter Enamel Dot finished off the card front.

On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from Label Me Bold in Granny Apple Green on a Whisper White panel.  Next to it I added another pretty little Ornate Style daisy!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and into my Daffodil Delight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Ornate Style daisy on the front…

…and a little more Daffodil Delight Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Label Me Bold is…for me…a flyover stamp set.  Easily overlooked.  BUT – it’s got a bunch of sentiment options for different occasions presented in a clean-and-simple style – so…don’t flyover it – get it before the end of the catalog!  And – I know you’re excited for Ornate Style and it’s bundled Ornate Layers Dies.

Somebody PLEASE GET THE DOG!!

Yes – he loves the Get The Dog game.  It’s ALMOST as good as the Who Can Keep the Stick Away from the Parents Game.  Or the ever popular – Zoom-Skid-Slam.  Which frequently involves the bowling over of the aforementioned parents cuz braking is HARD!!

All good games – YOU should try them!

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Lane Ornate Garden Treat Basket – with Video Tutorial!

Good Friday morning, y’all!!  I feel obligated to say….stop touching your face and wash your hands.

There.  Public Service Announcement….DONE!

I got the idea for this sweet treat basket from my friend Sue Prather – who gave all of us one last weekend at our Spring STAMPede event!

This is so easy. 🙂

Where Sue used some Best Dressed DSP, I used some of the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP – from the Early Release Ornate Garden Suite (which y’all can get on 1 April – or NOW if you decide to join the team).  I decorated mine with sweet Daisy Lane flowers.  Take a look-see:

With my Simply Scored board, I scored at 2″ and 4″ on one side of the 6″ x 6″ piece of DSP – rotated the paper 90 degrees (doesn’t matter which way) – and scored again at 2″ and 4″.

Next, I used my Paper Snips to cut from the edge of the paper to the crossing score line.  I did that on two opposing sides.  As shown by the dotted lines below.

When I was done snip-snipping, my paper looked like this:

I placed Tear-and-Tape Adhesive on the inside of the DSP on opposite corners…

Then I removed the tape and brought the tips of the outside corners together – tucking the center square panel on the inside.

The end result…

I used some Liquid Glue to adhere the inside flap so that it would help to make everything more secure and tidier! 🙂

Ready to decorate!

I used a length (about 7 1/2″) of 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim (from the Tropical Oasis Suite) for the handle – using a craft stapler to adhere it on the inside of the basket at the points.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped two each of the large and small daisies from the Daisy Lane set in Daffodil Delight.  Then I punched them with the Daisy Punch and the Medium Daisy Punch.

 

With the Leaf Punch, I punched three Mint Macaron and three Old Olive leaves.  I creased each little leaf with my fingers and adhered three each on both sides of the basket with Liquid Glue.

I popped the small daisies atop the large daisies with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  Then I adhered them over the top of the leaves with Liquid Glue.

A Perennial Essence Flower Center in the middle of each daisy finished off my Spring Baskets!

Et Voila!  These little baskets are so cute and so easy and…how many ways can you think of to use them?  Mother’s Day?  Easter Brunch?  May Day?  Baby Shower?  Bridal Shower?  Think of all the gorgeous papers we have to choose from and the myriad of decorative options we’ve got with Stampin’ UP!  The Daisy Lane and two Daisy Punches are spot-on-perfect for any and everything Spring-y!!  And…the paper.  The Ornate Garden Specialty DSP is gorgeous!!  I hope you like – and will give these a try right now!!

Finn Fan Fix


Yesterday we started hardening the transplants.

Toted all the little trays and water-bottle “pots” to just outside the garage door for a little while in the afternoon.  Gotta toughen up the plants in preparation for going in the beds!!

And I cut some daffodils (and a couple of tulip tree flowers!!)

It’s just the best time of year, isn’t it?!?

That’s kind of his jam.  Supervising.

If he had actual hands – not adorable paw-hands, he’d be holding a coffee cup in one hand and have the other in his pocket in the ways of site supervisors the world over.

No offense to site supervisors! 😉

Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday To You for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a sketch challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I decided it was past time that I played with my Birthday Dies (from the 2020 Coordination Product Release) and the Happy Birthday To You stamp set (SAB Release 1).  I combined them with a little of the Flowering Foils Specialty DSP (SAB Second Release).  I also snuck in a little sneaky peek at the new Ornate Layers Dies….Take a look-see:

I also borrowed a color combination from this week’s Inspire. Create color challenge.  I picked Daffodil Delight as my “Your Choice” color! 🙂

First thing, I cut a card-front-sized piece of Night of Navy card stock and embossed it in the new Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder (this is part of the new Ornate Garden Suite and you’ll be able to order it on 1 April!).  I adhered the embossed panel to the front of my Night of Navy card base with Liquid Glue.

Next, I cut a piece of the SAB Second Release Flowering Foils Specialty DSP (free with a $50 order thru the end of Sale-a-Bration on 31 Mar 2020!) with the large frame die in the Ornate Layers Die Set (also part of the Ornate Garden Suite) – this became the card front and I popped it onto the card base with Dimensionals.

On a seperate piece of Whisper White, I stamped the cake image from Happy Birthday To You (free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration) in Versamark Ink and sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Then I heat embossed it with my Heat Tool.  When it was cool, I cut it with the die in the Birthday Dies – part of the 2020 Coordinating Products Release.

I colored the flowers with my Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Combo, the cake with my Crumb Cake combo and the leaves and berries with my Night of Navy combo.  Hint: be careful using Blends on embossed images – the ink and the embossing powder will react – and melt the embossed image! 😉 Just be careful, you can do it!

Using the cool die in the Birthday Dies, I cut a Copper Foil cake plate and adhered it to the bottom of the cake image (I snipped off the pedestal from the cake first).

With dies from the Birthday Dies set, I cut two Night of Navy leaves and three Crumb Cake berries.  I also tied a double-length bow with Linen Thread.

For the sentiment, I stamped the Happy Birthday To You sentiment in Night of Navy on Whisper White and cut it with a Stitched So Sweetly rectangle die.

With all the pieces ready, I arranged them on the die cut card front until I was happy with it – and took a picture.

I picked up the sentiment and took another picture so I’d know where to adhere everything.

I popped the cake on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then the leaves and berries with Liquid Glue.  Finally, I added the bow with a Glue Dot.

I added a Night of Navy gem from the Holiday Rhinestone pack and the card front was done!

For the inside, I used the Ornate Layers die again to cut a Whisper White panel.  Then I stamped a second Happy Birthday To You sentiment in Night of Navy.  Around it I added some Daffodil Delight splatters with a stamp in the set.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the card base and the card was done!

The front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope got a Crumb Cake cake from Happy Birthday To You – colored with Blends.  I also added some Daffodil Delight splatters…

…and I added some of the Flowering Foils Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How cool is it that the Flowering Foils Specialty DSP flowers are so similar to the flowers on the Happy Birthday To You cake?  And the matching Birthday Dies are awesome – making short work of the cake and cake plate and some wonderful leaves and berries.  Get these all RIGHT now!!

The Ornate Layers Dies will be available on 1 April with the Early Release Ornate Garden Suite.  I hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental Positive Thoughts for Healing

Yep.  You got it.  It’s HAWWWMP DAY!!! 🙂

And – for HAWWMP Day, I’ve got an elegant get well card.  Which seems sort of apropos these days, huh?

I started with the Breathtaking Bouquet background stamp, then added some So Sentimental and Positive Thoughts sentiments and images.  And I used their matching dies, too!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Sunday Stamps challenge.

The color palette hails from the TGIF color challenge.

And – I’m also playing along with the Global-Design-Project theme…

…and – finally! – the Word Week challenge at Just Us Girls.

I started by creating the background with the beautiful Breathtaking Bouquet background stamp.  Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the image in Versamark Ink, then I sprinkled it with Black Shimmer Embossing Powder and heated it with my Heat Tool.

I cut the panel down to my finished card front size and adhered it to an Old Olive mat with Liquid Glue.

I stamped and embossed the image again on another piece of Whisper White, then I fussy cut the large middle rose.  Using my Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends Combo, I colored the image – being careful to avoid the embossed portions of the image as much as possible.

I wrapped a piece of Black 1/2″ Satin Ribbon around the card front, securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

Then I popped the fussy cut flower on to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using my Stamparatus, I used the Marker-to-Rubber technique to color and stamp the So Sentimental sentiment with my Old Olive and Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Write Markers.  Then I cut the sentiment with one of the smaller labels in the Stitched So Sweetly Die set.

I used a Dimensional and some Liquid Glue to adhere the sentiment to the card front.

I tied a little bit of metallic thread around the Satin Ribbon where I wanted my bow – which drew the ribbon up a little.  When I adhered a bow tied with the same ribbon over the thread (with a Glue Dot) – it helped to make it look more “real” and less….”faux”! 🙂

Using the Nature’s Thoughts Die set, I cut some Old Olive leaves and Lovely Lipstick butterflies.  I tucked the leaves under the fussy cut rose and sentiment and added the butterflies, all with Liquid Glue.  A few green gems from the Noble Peacock Rhinestone pack finished off the front of the card.

On the inside, I used the leaf image from Positive Thoughts to stamp a few times in Old Olive on a Whisper White panel – stamping a couple of times without re-inking.  Then I added a couple of Lovely Lipstick butterflies flitting here and there!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Old Olive mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Positive Thoughts leaves and butterflies on the front…

…and a few more on the envelope flap, too.

Et Voila!  How gorgeous is that Breathtaking Bouquet stamp?!  Especially embossed in Shimmer Black.  I am such a fan of the Positive Thoughts stamp set and the Coordinating Product Nature’s Thoughts Dies – LOVE them.  And speaking of loving…So Sentimental and the awe-mazing Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Hello?!?  Those dies are so useful – they’ll be your go-to, I promise!  I hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Make a Splash for the Paper Players

Hey y’all – it’s Sunday, which means I’ve got another fun challenge for you from the Paper Players – it’s a color challenge to help jump-start your creative mojo this week!  I hope you’ll come and play along.  🙂

The layout for this one comes from the Global Design Project challenge this week.

I started with a piece of paper from the Birthday Bonanza DSP – it’s the same size as the front of a card base (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) – that I adhered to the front of a Coastal Cabana card base with Liquid Glue.

Then I built my focal art.

I stamped the fish bowl from Make A Splash in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Across the bottom, in Coastal Cabana, I added “gravel”.

I stamped a couple of cute fishies in Calypso Coral and some grasses in Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana.

And – I wasn’t going to do it, but…I fussy cut a couple of fish sticky note masks…just couldn’t help it very much.

…and laid them over the fish so I could get grass “behind” them.  I even used some stamped-off-once Calypso Coral for a few more plants in the bowl!  Fish need plants, right??

I also added a stamped-off-once Coastal Cabana “waterline” and some bubbles in both blues.

For the sentiment, I pulled out the Coordinating Product Special Sending Flowers Dies.  First I cut the Calypso Coral banner for a “mat”.  The sentiment, from Make A Splash, is stamped in Coastal Cabana ink on a 3/8″ wide strip of Whisper White.

Then I laid that strip inside the cutting edge of the same Sending Flowers die – and ran it back thru my die-cutting machine.  That created the exact banner end as the mat!

I popped the sentiment over the mat with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the panel to a Calypso Coral mat and then to the card front.

On the inside, I didn’t use a sentiment.  Instead – I fussy cut a shorter-grass sticky note mat and created a little scene in the corner.  Here’s how.

  1.  Stamp the short grass in Coastal Cabana.
  2. Cover the image with the mask.
  3. Stamp the fish in Calypso Coral – leave it on the card stock (you can even rock it a SMIDGE!!) for a beat or two to let the ink get onto the panel good.
  4. Cover the fish with the mask (remember – the short grass sticky note mask is still in place).
  5. Stamp the larger grass in Bermuda Bay.
  6. Use Coastal Cabana to add the gravel image underneath.
  7. Add bubbles in Coastal Cabana.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Calypso Coral mat and into the Coastal Cabana card base and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the same little fish scene on the front…

…and I added some Birthday Bonanza DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Isn’t this a fun set!?  It’s got several nice sentiment phrases in that small scripty-font I like so much and plenty of fishy images (including a really cute crab!) to make all kinds of fun underwater scenes!

Stampin’ Up! Layered With Kindness Treat Bags

Hey guys!  Happy weekend!  When you read this, I’ll be getting ready to head south for the fun SpringSTAMPEDE!  There are four of us going from our team and we’ll get to spend the day with other demonstrators stamping and chatting and….eating bar-b-que! All the ingredients of a fun day, huh?

Just wanted to remind you that I will NOT be doing a FB live tonight – will be driving home about that time!  And…I’m pretty sure crafting-while-facebooking-while-driving is…frowned upon! 😉  But – I’ll be back on YouTube on Thursday at 1pm Eastern!

I wanted to take some little goodies with me to share with my table-mates, so…I pulled out some Copper-Dotted Treat Bags and decorated them with the Layered With Kindness stamp set and the coordinating Label Me Pretty and Label Me Fancy punches.  Take a look-see:

My color scheme – pink, orange and blue – is from this week’s Color Throwdown.

I started with a pack of the pretty Copper-Dotted Treat Bags from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  They’re perfectly sized to hold the Milano cookie packs I’d gotten!

The first thing I did was use the small little flower image in Layered With Kindness and stamped it all over the front of each bag in Petal Pink.

Then I folded the top down – I stuck a cookie pack inside to be sure that I left room for it – and punched two holes in the folded part of the bag.  I used a super-crafty hole punch – the one I bought from the school-supplies aisle at the grocery store! 😉

For the tag, I stamped the Happy Birthday image from Layered With Kindness in Versamark Ink on Terracotta Tile card stock.  Then I sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heated it with my Heat Tool.  When it was cool, I punched it with the Label Me Lovely Punch.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the For My Friend in Pretty Peacock.  I used a couple of sticky notes to mask off the flourishes on the stamp – I just wanted the words.  I punched them with the Label Me Fancy Punch.

I used the pretty flower from Layered With Kindness to stamp over the sentiment with Petal Pink ink.  Then, I used my Terracotta Tile Stampin’ Write Marker to add some faux stitches.

To make a larger tag – I cut a scallop-edge circle using the Circle Layering Dies to cut a piece of Copper Foil.  With a smaller smooth-side circle die, I cut out a piece of Petal Pink and embossed it in the new Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.   This is part of the new Ornate Garden Suite – available to customers on 1 April!

I adhered the Petal Pink circle to the Copper Foil circle with Liquid Glue.  Then I used that high-dollar hole punch to make a hole in the top.

I added the punched out, copper-embossed Happy Birthday with more Liquid Glue.

Note: if you needed a birthday tag – you could stop right here and use this, yes? 🙂

But – I did not.  So…I popped my For My Friend label on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stuck my cookies in the bags and then tied them up.  I used some of the new Terracotta Tile 1/4″ ribbon from the Ornate Garden Suite (avail 1 Apr) and I made one with Petal Pink 1/4″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon.

To tie the ribbon, I ran the ends from the back of the bag to the front, thru the two holes in the folded-over bag top…

…and then ran the ends thru the hole in the tag, from back to front, and tied a bow!

I added a Champagne Rhinestone and the tag was done.  And on the bag!

Et Voila!  Love the flower in the Layered With Kindness stamp set – and the fonts are beautiful and perfectly sized for the Label Me Fancy and Label Me Lovely punches.

Stampin’ Up! Ornate Garden Suite Sneak Peek Video Tutorial

Good Friday morning, y’all!!  Hoping your week has been good and your weekend is looking to be a good one.  Are you stocking up on water, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, etc? If you listen to the news at all…man – what a goat rope – the media is having a hey-day stirring the coronavirus pot, aren’t they??  I mean – WE built an underground bunker JIC, but…I draw the line at buying 87 cases of water and toilet paper!  Now…87 cases of Dimensionals?  Hmmm…. 😉

I’ve posted that we have a new suite coming to y’all soon.  It’s an Early Release from the upcoming 2020-2021 Annual Catalog (yes – that’s right around the corner – Christmas can’t be far behind! 😳😳😳😳).  The Ornate Garden Suite is….gorgeous.  And you can get it on 1 April (unless you’re a Demonstrator – or sign up now, then…it could already be on the way to you!).  I used it to make a Double-Easel Fun Fold card.  Take a look-see:

 

I first saw this fold  from Janie – the Craft Princess out on YouTube.  I watched her video to see the card cuts and then…made it for myself with this gorgeous new suite.  I love the multiple spots available to showcase the beautiful Ornate Garden DSP!  You guys know I love an easel card – so…TWO easels on ONE card? Yes, please! 🙂

The concept is easy – create a large easel card and a baby easel card.  Attach the baby easel to the large easel to act as the “easel stop”.  I made my easel card bases in Old Olive for this one.

On the front of the large easel, I used Liquid Glue to adhere a piece of Ornate Garden DSP.

Using the Ornate Layers Dies (which is bundled with the Ornate Style stamp set as part of the new suite), I cut a Terracotta Tile frame.  HINT:  These are very detailed dies – I highly recommend that you grab the Take Your Pick Tool (if you don’t have it already) AND the Die Brush Tip.  You’re going to want it! 😉

Atop that, on Whisper White, are three Tuxedo Black Memento Ink daisies from the Ornate Style set.  I colored them with my So Saffron and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends Combo – plus a little Light Calypso Coral.  In the corner is a Terracotta Tile flourish from the Ornate Style set.

The mini-me easel has more Ornate Garden DSP, matted on Terracotta Tile on the front and “inner liner”.  Notice that there is Gold Foil embossing on some of the papers in the DSP pack! Sweet!! 🙂

I stamped a sentiment from the Ornate Thanks set in Terracotta Tile on Whisper White and cut it with a Stitched So Sweetly Die (“adjusting” the die to make it a little longer than it actually is!).

I made a figure-eight from Linen Thread wrapped around my hand four times and adhered it to the front of the mini-easel with Glue Dots – then I popped the sentiment over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The easel stop for mini-me is a stacked flower cut with three dies in the new Ornate Borders Die set (which will be bundled with the Ornate Thanks stamp set.

Folks – this stamp set is SO cool – with wonderful phrases in a beautiful scripty-handwritten font – you’ll be able to say Thank You about a gazillion different ways!!

Anywho – I cut the large flower in Crushed Curry (cuz…I don’t have “Bumblebee” colors yet.  Yes – that’s a HINT!!), the medium flower in Terracotta Tile and the smallest in So Saffron.  Then I stacked them up with Liquid Glue, added a new Gilded Gem (from the Suite!) and then popped it into place with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

For the inside, I added another piece of Ornate Garden DSP (I decided to use the same design as the front of the mini-easel) matted on Terracotta Tile to the inside of the large card base.  On a Whisper White die cut frame (a smaller frame from the Ornate Layers set), I stamped one of the many sentiments from Ornate Thanks in Terracotta Tile ink.  I adhered that at the top of the inner liner.  Then I popped the mini-easel on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

And that’s it for the card!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more daisies on the front…

…and more pretty Ornate Garden DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh my goodness, y’all!!  I.  Love.  This.  New.  Ornate Garden Suite!  The two beautiful bundles….Ornate Thanks and Ornate Style….are perfectly complemented by the gold-foil accented Ornate Garden DSP.  So many sentiments – such beautiful flowers – and I haven’t even talked about the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.  What???

We have 30 acres of land.  Now – granted – there’s a lot of trees and fenced areas not useful for parking cars/trucks/tractors/equipment/etc.  BUT – there is, indeed, a lot of road and out-of-the-way places, too.

My husband – bless his heart – can, with unerring accuracy – park one of the aforementioned items RIGHT.  SMACK.  DAB.  in the middle of…wherever I need to be able go – on the four-wheeler, with the horses, in the golf-cart.

Un.  Erring.  Accuracy.

And – he doesn’t even need a GPS – a laser – a micrometer….nuthin’.

Apparently – Finn IS his father’s son.

Case in point.

Go ahead – roll the laundry cart past him.

I’ll wait. 😉

Stampin’ Up! Sweetly Sentimental Lily for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a color challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I pulled out my gorgeous Lily Impressions DSP (which, OBTW – you can get for FREE in the Sale-A-Bration flyer with a $50 purchase) and paired it up with (also FREE) the matching Lovely Lily stamp stamp set ($50 level reward) and Lily Pad Dies ($100 level reward).   To those pretty images, I added a So Sentimental sentiment on a Stitched So Sweetly die cut label.  Take a look-see:

And – since a good sketch challenge is a great way to get some inspiration, I borrowed mine from this week’s Tuesday Morning Sketches!

It also fits perfectly with the photo inspiration from the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge!

I started with a mostly-Bermuda Bay piece of the Lily Impressions DSP that I embossed in the Stone 3D Embossing Folder (also FREE during Sale-A-Bration, bundled with the Power of Hope stamp set!) and matted it on Basic Black for the card front.

Using my Stitched Shapes dies, I cut two squares from another design in the pack and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

From a third design – mostly in Lovely Lipstick – I cut a Stitched So Sweetly rectangle and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

With an Oval Stitched Shapes die, I cut a Basic Black oval, embossed it in the Stone 3D Folder and popped it onto the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the So Sentimental set, is stamped in Bermuda Bay on Whisper White and cut with another label die from Stitched So Sweetly.

I cut two short lengths of Granny Apple Green 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon and used a couple of Glue Dots to adhere them to the black oval.  Then I popped the sentiment on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then it was time to pull out the Lovely Lily stamp set and it’s matching Lily Pad Dies. HINT:  the Lovely Lily stamp set is a photopolymer REVERSIBLE set.  Which means that one side of the stamp is the detailed side – and you just have to flip it over on your block to stamp the “fill” image!  Cool, huh? 🙂

I created a flower by stamping the small flower detailed image in Lovely Lipstick on some of the Lovely Lipstick Lily Impressions DSP and cutting it with the die in the Lily Pad Die set.  I used a second die to cut a detailed flower from Lovely Lipstick card stock.  Finally – I made a leaf by stamping the leaf in Granny Apple Green on Granny Apple Green card stock and cutting it out.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the three pieces together to form the flower!

Before adhering the flower to the card front – I wound some Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine around my hand several times and twisted it into a figure eight.  Then I used Glue Dots to adhere it to the card front.

Then I used Liquid Glue and a couple of Black Dimensionals to adhere the flower over top.

A single Granny Apple Green Glitter Enamel Dot finished off the card front!

On the inside, I first stamped the detailed flower image in Lovely Lipstick in the corner of a Whisper White panel.  I cleaned the stamp and turned it over, inked the “solid” side in Lovely Lipstick and stamped it one time on my scrap paper.  Then I stamped it into the flower image for the “fill”.   I made a sticky note mask by cutting the flower die from the top of a sticky note – and laid it over top.  Then I stamped the detailed lily pad image in full strength Granny Apple Green and the fill in stamped-off-once Granny Apple Green.

Phew – that was a LOT of words for 4 stamps, huh??  🙂

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Granny Apple Green card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another flower and lily pad on the front…

And a bit more Lily Impressions DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  The So Sentimental stamp set and bundled Stitched So Sweetly dies are a wonderful complement to the Lovely Lily images, Lily Pad die cut flowers and beautiful Lily Impressions DSP, don’t you think?  And – it doesn’t hurt that all the Lily goodies are FREE during Sale-A-Bration!  I hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Foils Tags in Bloom!

Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day!!  Hope your week is going swimmingly!

Today is the second day of the Second Release for Sale-A-Bration!  Be sure to check out the five new FREEBIES that you can pick up thru the end of March! 🙂

My card today uses TWO of the new SAB goodies – the Tags in Bloom stamp set (free with a $100 purchase before shipping and tax) and the Flowering Foils Specialty DSP (a level 1 – $50 goody!).  Take a look-see:

The Tags in Bloom stamp set coordinates with the Label My Lovely and Label Me Fancy Punches from the 2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog!

The layout for this card was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch this week!

I started with a panel of Mint Macaron that I embossed in the Basket Weave 3D Embossing Folder and matted on Melon Mambo for the card front.

I picked a flower-strewn design from the  Flowering Foils Specialty DSP and used my Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs in Petal Pink, Mint Macaron and Lovely Lipstick to color the flowers, leaves and berries.  Then I adhered the panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.

The strip across the middle is a piece of Mint Macaron Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP, matted on Mint Macaron and adhered with Liquid Glue.

Then I added a Pearlized Doily with more Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the sentiment from Tags in Bloom in Melon Mambo.  Around it, I stamped the stitched label image in Mint Macaron.  Then I punched it out with the Label Me Lovely punch.  I popped the label onto the Doily with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a Melon Mambo gem from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones and the card front was done.  Easy and also…peasy! 😉

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Tags in Bloom in Melon Mambo to a Whisper White panel.  In the corner, I stamped the flowers and leaf from the set.  For the flowers, I used full-strength Petal Pink or Melon Mambo for the outline images – and stamped-off-once versions of the same colors for the fill images.  The leaf is done in full-strength Mint Macaron.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Melon Mambo mat and into my Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whsiper White Medium Envelope got more of the Tags in Bloom flowers and leaf on the front…

…and more of the Mint Macaron DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love this Tags in Bloom set – and love it even more for coordinating with TWO punches from the Mini Catalog (and those punches are already in perfect coordination with the wonderful Layered With Kindness stamp set from the Mini!

The Flowering Foils Specialty DSP is gorgeous and perfect for coloring – you’ll get 12 one-sided pieces of 12″ x 12″ paper in the pack with your $50 purchase!
