Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental Positive Thoughts for Healing

MikemikemikemikeMIKE!!  Guess what day it ISSSSSSS???!

Yep.  You got it.  It’s HAWWWMP DAY!!! 🙂

And – for HAWWMP Day, I’ve got an elegant get well card.  Which seems sort of apropos these days, huh?

I started with the Breathtaking Bouquet background stamp, then added some So Sentimental and Positive Thoughts sentiments and images.  And I used their matching dies, too!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Sunday Stamps challenge.

The color palette hails from the TGIF color challenge.

And – I’m also playing along with the Global-Design-Project theme…

…and – finally! – the Word Week challenge at Just Us Girls.

I started by creating the background with the beautiful Breathtaking Bouquet background stamp.  Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the image in Versamark Ink, then I sprinkled it with Black Shimmer Embossing Powder and heated it with my Heat Tool.

I cut the panel down to my finished card front size and adhered it to an Old Olive mat with Liquid Glue.

I stamped and embossed the image again on another piece of Whisper White, then I fussy cut the large middle rose.  Using my Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends Combo, I colored the image – being careful to avoid the embossed portions of the image as much as possible.

I wrapped a piece of Black 1/2″ Satin Ribbon around the card front, securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

Then I popped the fussy cut flower on to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using my Stamparatus, I used the Marker-to-Rubber technique to color and stamp the So Sentimental sentiment with my Old Olive and Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Write Markers.  Then I cut the sentiment with one of the smaller labels in the Stitched So Sweetly Die set.

I used a Dimensional and some Liquid Glue to adhere the sentiment to the card front.

I tied a little bit of metallic thread around the Satin Ribbon where I wanted my bow – which drew the ribbon up a little.  When I adhered a bow tied with the same ribbon over the thread (with a Glue Dot) – it helped to make it look more “real” and less….”faux”! 🙂

Using the Nature’s Thoughts Die set, I cut some Old Olive leaves and Lovely Lipstick butterflies.  I tucked the leaves under the fussy cut rose and sentiment and added the butterflies, all with Liquid Glue.  A few green gems from the Noble Peacock Rhinestone pack finished off the front of the card.

On the inside, I used the leaf image from Positive Thoughts to stamp a few times in Old Olive on a Whisper White panel – stamping a couple of times without re-inking.  Then I added a couple of Lovely Lipstick butterflies flitting here and there!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Old Olive mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Positive Thoughts leaves and butterflies on the front…

…and a few more on the envelope flap, too.

Et Voila!  How gorgeous is that Breathtaking Bouquet stamp?!  Especially embossed in Shimmer Black.  I am such a fan of the Positive Thoughts stamp set and the Coordinating Product Nature’s Thoughts Dies – LOVE them.  And speaking of loving…So Sentimental and the awe-mazing Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Hello?!?  Those dies are so useful – they’ll be your go-to, I promise!  I hope you like!

After I turned the girls out the other day, I headed back in to clean the barn.

And discovered my billy goat just hanging out on the outdoor storage box.

No.  I have no idea why.  Totally volunteered.  🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Stampin’ Up! Hugs, Prayers and Love from Positive Thoughts!

Happy National Tortilla Chip Day!

Yep – that’s a real thing!

So…you’re duty bound to go your nearest Mexican food restaurant and eat chips and salsa.  Do it for your country! 😉

With that out of the way, and my public service complete for the day, let’s get on with a card, shall we?  I made a little collage for you (shocking, I know!) using the Positive Thoughts stamp set – and the coordinating Nature’s Thoughts Dies (part of the 2020 Coordination Product Release!).  Take a look-see:

The layout was inspired by this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.

On a piece of Crumb Cake card stock, using my Stamparatus, I stamped the Positive Thoughts sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink.  Then I cut it using the die from Stitched So Sweetly.

I placed a card-front sized piece of Crumb Cake into the Stamparatus and laid the sentiment label in place in the corner.  Then, I stamped the flower from Positive Thoughts in Terracotta Tile.  Then I picked up the label and inked and stamped the image a second time.  I laid the label back down, moved the stamp on the Stamparatus panel – and repeated the process a second time.

I did the same process all over again a couple more times – this time with the leaf image in Mossy Meadow.  I stamped that image twice in each spot without re-inking to help create some more depth.

Then I matted the panel on Terracotta Tile card stock.

I picked up the sentiment label and stamped the feather image in Terracotta Tile a few times without re-inking.

With the dies from the coordinating Nature’s Thoughts die set, I cut some Mossy Meadow and Vellum cardstock leaves.  Using Terracotta Tile cardstock, I spritzed a piece with some water with my Stampin’ Spritzer, then I cut two feathers.  I lightly sponged the edges of the feathers with Terracotta Tile using a Sponge Dauber and curled them slightly.

I laid out all the pieces and parts – including a Linen Thread double-loop bow – and took a picture.

I adhered all the elements – leaves and feathers – with Liquid Glue.  Then I popped the sentiment onto with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I adhered the bow with a Glue Dot….

…added a tiny Terracotta Tile butterfly (yes, cut with a die from the Nature’s Promise die set) and a few Terracotta Tile 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots.

And…the card front was done!

On the inside, I used the Stamparatus to add a second sentiment from Positive Thoughts in Mossy Meadow to a Crumb Cake panel.  Over that, I added the flower in stamped-off-once Terracotta Tile ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Terracotta Tile mat and into my Mossy Meadow card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a few flowers on the front – in Terracotta Tile that I stamped three times without re-inking.

…and I added the leaf image in Mossy Meadow on the back of the envelope.

Et Voila!  Positive Thoughts is one of my very favorite stamp sets in the 2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog and I am SO happy to have the matching Nature’s Thoughts Dies!!

…especially that tiny butterfly!  So stinkin’ sweet!!  I hope you like – and will grab these two goodies up quick like the Cadbury Easter bunny! 🙂

See how wet they are? 🙁

Had to play THIS game way too many times.

Kind of dreary.  Bleh.

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Positive Thoughts Sympathy

Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day!  Hope your week is going well.  All is good here – we’re soggy but…it’s okay.  It’s warm for a minute, so…there’s that! 🙂

I have a card today that is going to end up being sent as a sympathy card, I believe.  It doesn’t overtly refer to “sympathy” but… I think it’s actually appropriate.  It uses one of my favorite sets in the 2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog – the Positive Thoughts stamp set.  I took advantage of the new Nature’s Thoughts Dies, too, that cut all those wonderful shapes out for me using my die cutting machine!  You’ll also see some of the new So Very Vellum Specialty DSP (a new freebie in the Sale-A-Bration Second Release flyer).  Take a look-see:

I started this one with a card-front size piece of Whisper White and an identically sized piece of Soft Sea Foam vellum from the new So Very Vellum Speicalty DSP (coming to you on 3 Mar in the SAB second release).  I used Glue Dots to adhere the vellum to the card stock – placing them where I knew they’d be hidden by decorations on the card front.  Then I matted the whole thing on So Saffron to make the card front.

I used the large stitched-edge rectangle die in the Nature’s Thoughts Die Set to cut a Whisper White panel, which I adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a seperate piece of Whisper White, I stamped two Positive Thoughts leaves images – one in So Saffron and the second in Soft Sea Foam.  I also stamped a flower in Petal Pink.  All three are cut with their matching dies in Nature’s Thoughts.

I adhered the leaves and flower to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Next up, I cut some little leaves (also in the Nature’s Thoughts die set) from the same Soft Sea Foam So Very Vellum paper, and adhered them as well.

The sentiment, from Positive Thoughts, is stamped in Soft Suede on a strip of Soft Sea Foam card stock that I bannerized with my Paper Snips.  Then I adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut three little Nature’s Thoughts butterflies from So Saffron and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

Good morning, peeps!  Well – today is the last week in my  “term” as a Guest Designer at the Just Us Girls Challenge! Which is why I’m in your Inbox so early!  Next Saturday we’ll be back on our normal posting schedule.  I’ve really enjoyed working with the fun folks at Just Us Girls – and am really honored that they asked me!

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Positive Thoughts

Good morning, y’all!  Hope you’re headed into a good and relatively stress-free week!!

Before we get going – I’ve got THREE extra Single Paper Shares ready to go if anyone wants them.  $15 +$5 for first class shipping gets you 48 – 6″ x 6″ sheets of beautiful new Designer Series Papers – and 6 Best Dressed 3″ x 3″ Note Cards and Envelopes.  Let me know ASAP if you want one or more of these packs of gorgeous paper! 🙂

I’ve got a very feminine card for you today – using the new Positive Thoughts stamp set. It also uses two wonderful Coordination Products that will be available to you on 4 Feb – the Nature’s Thoughts dies and the Pleased As Punch DSP.  Take a look-see!

The soft color palette is from this week’s CAS Colors & Sketches challenge.

And I think it’s pretty feminine so… I’ll enter it in the Water Cooler Wednesday challenge!

I started with a piece of Petal Pink gingham paper from the new Pleased As Punch DSP and matted it on So Saffron for the card front.

Next, using the large rectangle die in the Nature’s Thoughts Dies, I cut out a piece of Whisper White.

On that panel, I stamped the large leaf image from Positive Thoughts several times without re-inking in Bermuda Bay.  Then I added the fluer-d-doo image in So Saffron – again stamping several times without re-inking.

Then I adhered the panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Next up was to stamp and cut all the elements for the collage.  I stamped the big leaf image in Bermuda Bay on Whisper White and cut it with the die in Nature’s Thoughts.  I stamped two Petal Pink flowers and three Daffodil Delight butterflies and cut them out as well.  Then I cut two feathers – one in Whisper White and one in Petal Pink Perennial Essence Vellum Card Stock.  Finally, a few Bermuda Bay leaf die cuts joined the pile!

The sentiment – from Positive Thoughts – is stamped in Bermuda Bay on the Perennial Essence Vellum and cut with an Ornate Frames Die (carried over from the Holiday Catalog).

With everything cut and ready, I built the collage – adding and moving pieces around until it looked right.

Then I took it’s picture!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere all the pieces – starting with the large Bermuda Bay leaf and building the layers.  When I got to the sentiment – I used Glue Dots (they’re pretty easy to “hide” when using Vellum!).  Finally – the last flower is popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used Liquid Glue to tuck the Bermuda Bay die cut leaves in here and there into the collage and then added a bow tied with Petal Pink 5/8″ Striped Organdy Ribbon with a Glue Dot.

A few Champagne Rhinestone Jewels finished off the card front.

On the inside, I added the large Positive Thoughts leaf in Bermuda Bay on a Whisper White panel, stamping it a few times without re-inking.  I also added a second sentiment in Bermuda Bay.  Over the sentiment, in stamped-off-once Petal Pink, I stamped the feather image from the stamp set.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a So Saffron mat and into my Bermuda Bay card base, added the card front with Liquid Glue and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Bermuda Bay leaves on the front…
